In this paper, we show that if the Laplacian and gradient of the warping function of a compact warped product submanifold Ω p + q in the hyperbolic space ℍ m − 1 satisfy various extrinsic restrictions, then Ω p + q has no stable integral currents, and its homology groups are trivial. Also, we prove that the fundamental group π 1 Ω p + q is trivial. The restrictions are also extended to the eigenvalues of the warped function, the integral Ricci curvature, and the Hessian tensor. The results obtained in the present paper can be considered as generalizations of the Fu–Xu theorem in the framework of the compact warped product submanifold which has the minimal base manifold in the corresponding ambient manifolds.

AbstractIn this paper, we prove that every equivalence class in the quotient group of integral 1-currents modulo p in Euclidean space contains an integral current, with quantitative estimates on its mass and the mass of its boundary. Moreover, we show that the validity of this statement for m-dimensional integral currents modulo p implies that the family of {(m-1)}-dimensional flat chains of the form pT, with T a flat chain, is closed with respect to the flat norm. In particular, we deduce that such closedness property holds for 0-dimensional flat chains, and, using a proposition from The structure of minimizing hypersurfaces mod 4 by Brian White, also for flat chains of codimension 1.

We establish that the intrinsic distance dE associated with an indecomposable plane set E of finite perimeter is infinitesimally Euclidean; namely, in E. By this result, we prove through a standard argument that a conservative vector field in a plane set of finite perimeter has a potential. We also provide some applications to complex analysis. Moreover, we present a collection of results that would seem to suggest the possibility of developing a De Rham cohomology theory for integral currents.
