The Ramifications of Covid-19 Within the African American Community

The coronavirus (Covid-19) perplexed many aspects of everyday life. Sadly, Covid-19 took a greater toll on African Americans. As Covid-19 developed, medical professionals, health care authorities, and advocates recognized several day-to-day living situations and intrinsic medical conditions that distressed African Americans with higher mortality rates during the pandemic. It is imperative that healthcare leaders understand the ramifications that have occurred and that may continue to surface from the Covid-19 affliction, which could be utilized to adjust and amend current policy surrounding the adversely affected African American population. We explored several substantial questions regarding this pandemic: the perceived reasons for the vast impact of Covid-19 within the African American culture; and what recommendations are needed to aid healthcare leaders in the fight against Covid-19 within the African American community. There are six ramifications that the authors address in this general article, including- employment, poverty, deaths, mental illness, and distrust. We offer suggestions to implement, prevent, and educate the African American public to circumvent these ramifications for present and future pandemics.

Administrative Procedure and Judicial Review in Austria

This chapter discusses administrative procedure and judicial review in Austria. In Austria, there exists a principle of the 'exclusivity of legal sources'. Legal protection is only possible against certain administrative legal sources. In general, Article 130 B-VG pronounces judgments on complaints by the administrative courts against rulings by administrative authorities for unlawful acts; against the exercise of direct administrative power and compulsion to carry out unlawful acts; and on the grounds of breach of the duty to reach a decision by an administrative authority. In principle, the administrative court has to examine the case comprehensively; in general, there is no exclusion for specific administrative matters. It is of fundamental significance for the Austrian administrative judicial system that an administrative court of first instance generally decides on the merits of the case. Only in very exceptional cases does it set aside the contested act by the authority and refer the case back to it.

JAPAN'S MEIJI REFORM AND EXPERIENCE LESSONS FOR VIETNAM IN THE PROCESS OF INDUSTRIALIZATION AND MODERNIZATION OF THE COUNTRY

In the development process of Japanese history, the Meiji period was of great significance. Thanks to the achievements of this reform, Japan can advance quickly on the path of industrialization and modernization and become the first capitalist power in Asia. The Meiji reform with its historical role and meaning has become an essential element in promoting the development of Japanese history in modern times. On the Asian level, the achievements of reform have much influence on regional countries. Many Asian countries have turned to the island nation and want to follow the development path of Japan. Over 150 years have passed, but the lessons learned from the Meiji reform are still valid, especially for Vietnam in the period of industrialization and modernization. The general article of Japan's Meiji reform (1868) is carried out in the fields of economy, politics, military, culture, and education. Part 2 National and Regional Reports, Part 2.2 Asia: Coordinated by Yuko Nishitani and Béligh Elbalti, 20 Bahrain: Bahraini Perspectives on the Hague Principles

This chapter assesses Bahraini perspectives on the Hague Principles. In Bahrain, private international law rules are mainly found in domestic legislation. The main legislative text in this regard is the Act No 6/2015 on Conflict of Law in Civil and Commercial Matters involving a Foreign Element (the 2015 Act). The Act includes a number of rules of general application, among which is Article 4 on party autonomy in addition to some other rules relating to choice of law in contractual matters in general (Article 17) or applicable to special types of contracts and other juristic acts. It can be safely said that nothing in principle prevents the Bahraini courts from referring to the Hague Principles as a persuasive authority nor from using its solutions in the interpretation or the development of the applicable rules and principles of private international law in Bahrain. This is particularly true knowing that many of the solutions adopted by the 2015 Act are particularly consistent with the Hague Principles’ solutions.

TYPICAL CLASS METHODS FOR SOLVING EQUATIONS AND INEQUALITIES WITH DIFFERENT STRUCTURES

The article discusses the ways of developing skills and abilities to effectively solve problems when describing methods for solving equations and inequalities, clarifying theoretical knowledge, the basics of forming skills for practical application. The formation of mathematical concepts through solving problems in teaching mathematics opens the way to the development of mathematical thinking, the application of knowledge in practice, and the development of search skills. To master a mathematical concept, along with its definition, it is necessary to know its features and properties. This can be achieved primarily through problem solving and exercise. Problem solving is based on the development of new methods, the creation of algorithms, ways of developing practical skills in the methods and techniques mastered with the help of tasks.In addition, transforming equations and inequalities through the development of thinking skills helps to identify common or special properties in order to draw correct conclusions. Solving various problems, it shows what operations should be used to determine the situation in which a solution was found, and what features of the solution allow choosing the most effective methods. Thanks to the theoretical substantiation of the general article, it is possible to master convenient methods for solving equations and inequalities of various structures.

Covert Environmental Warfare Assault on India: An Open Letter to the Indian Academy of Sciences

In 2015, in response to an urgent call for assistance to understand the geological association of high aluminum mobility with human health in the Ganga Alluvial Plain, I published a General Article in Current Science entitled “Aluminum poisoning of humanity and Earth’s biota by clandestine geoengineering activity: implications for India”. The events that transpired following its publication led to evidence and documentation that the furtherance of that activity is tantamount to waging environmental warfare against Indian citizens, and citizens of other countries. Its publication, however, triggered an assault by one or more disinformation professionals that may have “poisoned the well” at the Indian Academy of Sciences. The truth is laid out here. During the following five years many questions were answered, such as: Why were the particles being placed into the lower-atmosphere (troposphere), not into the upper-atmosphere (stratosphere)? Why was there no public mention of the jet-emplaced particulate trails except through dissemination of false information, i.e. the contrail lie? What is the legal justification? What are the dangers to human and environmental health? The survival of Indian citizenry is critically dependent upon the natural weather cycles. No one has the right to poison the air people breathe or to disrupt the natural environment that makes life possible. The United Nations’ sanctioned “peaceful environmental improvement” constitutes, I allege, covert, hostile, environmental warfare. By virtue of their abilities and advanced training, scientists have an implicit responsibility toward humanity. Scientific integrity is even more important for members of the Indian Academy of Sciences who must now muster courage to confront a very real threat to the survival of their nation.

Exploring the Relation Between Psychotypologies and Article Acquisition

The aim of this study is to explore whether there may be any correlations between psychotypology (i.e. perceived linguistic distance) and the number of article-related errors in L1 Polish students of L3 Spanish. Following a survey on the participants’ assessment of linguistic distance between the languages of their dominant language constellations, article-related errors were compared by means of a battery of non-parametric Mann-Whitney U tests. The results do not suggest significant differences between groups B1 and B2 in terms of article-related errors. However, positive correlations were found, at an all-encompassing B1+B2 level, between grammatical psychotypology and article omission errors, and in group B2 with regard to general article use and, more especifically, wrong article use and article omission errors. On the other hand, negative correlations were found between lexical psychotypology and article usage in group B2; phonetic psychotypology and wrong article use in group B1 in group B1; and grammatical psychotypology and unnecessary article use in group B1. The results seem to suggest that perceived linguistic distance among more experienced learners may be linked to the development of successful cross-linguistic associations, whereas it may lead to ‘false assumptions’ at lower levels of instruction.

Code Sharing in Psychological Methods and Statistics: An Overview and Associations with Conventional and Alternative Research Metrics

Towards discovering more effective means to promote code sharing as an open science practice, this study explores the current state of code sharing within the field of psychological methods and statistics and examines the association between this practice and conventional and alternative research metrics. Towards this purpose, a total of 815 articles from three major journals within the field of psychological methods and statistics were manually screened and encoded based on code sharing practices and general article characteristics. In addition, data on conventional (citation counts) and alternative research metrics (Altmetric Attention Score) was retrieved through online scientific databases (Web of Science and Altmetric.com). This input was then analysed using descriptive statistics and regression models suitable for count data, and robustness of the findings were assessed using multiverse analysis. The findings of this study suggest that the sharing of scientific computer code is not (yet) extensively practiced within the field of psychological methods and statistics. In the majority of academic articles included in this study, scientific computer code was not shared (66 %). Moreover, if such code was shared, it was frequently found to be improperly annotated (70 %) and/or incomplete (52 %). Nevertheless, the findings of this study also suggest a hopeful prospect, as the sharing of scientific computer code has increased between 2010 and 2017. The study revealed a robust positive connection with alternative research metrics. This study did not find robust positive connection between code sharing and citation counts.

LAB-ON-A-DISH RAPID PROTOTYPING AND MICROSCOPIC INVESTIGATIONS OF LAB-ON-A-DISH GEOMETRIES (INCLUDING DYE DIFFUSION STUDIES)

The problem of compatibilities of fluorescence techniques and polymer chips is resolved (as a part of the general chip optics problem) using microscopic investigations of polymer chip transparency in some different textural variances and microfluorimetric measurements of fluorescent dyes in the chip geometry. The problem of the soil chip prototyping is solved using 3D-printing based on some biocompatible and, so possible, biodegradable polymers. The basic complexity of experimental data is provided in the tables placed in the general article text. Is it possible to create multiparametric analytical technique for synchronous biocompatible soil microbiome analysis and monitoring? It is a general question for the real time environmental control. We can say “Yes”, but only if we have a minimal prerequisite case, which we have a good polymer, real “real time” analyzer, biocompatible and biodegradable coatings etc. In other cases the general problem of soil chip design is not a problem of engineering, but it is a problem of soil-chip interface chemical physics and physical chemistry. Such problem may be interpreted only as a principal physical, but not as a technical problem.
