Socio-Industrial Impacts of CPEC on the Pakistan: A Macro-Economic Study Within the Theoretical Context of Structural Anthropology

Since the inauguration of CPEC as a plan to reconstruct the olden road between Kashgar and Gwadar, Pakistan is also experiencing socio-industrial impacts at the macro level. In fact, Chinese industries have built such a technical structure within the Pakistani markets that largely affects the nature of the masses. Likewise, socio-cultural life including the business environment in Pakistan has also been rapidly affected by the Chinese arrival. Therefore, by collecting primary sources from Pakistani and Chinese ministries regarding Chinese imports towards Pakistan; the study examines how it is encircling daily route life along with human nature. At the same time, consultation with different organizations and think tanks assists the study in practically investigating the socio-industrial impacts of CPEC within the theoretical context of structural anthropology in different regions of Pakistan.

RUSSIA AND UKRAINE: CURRENT PROBLEMS OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE NEW NORMALITY

The intellectual challenges of modern political relations of the socio-technical structure are caused by a number of the most diverse factors: 1) the collapse of classical epistemology, based on the principles of linear causation, cognizability; 2) the speed of socio-technical changes and agile nature of environment; 3) the postcolonial nature of communication and advancement of knowledge; 4) the fragility of social order. The very awareness of the environment in which we find ourselves is already a problem and has given rise to many concepts such as synergy, nonstationarity, VUCA, new normality, Janus-likeness. The relevance of the topic is associated with the dialectics of the complexity of the development of civilization, threats to sustainable development. The complexity, multifactorial nature, and instability of the global socio-technical reality do not contribute to adaptation to a special state of the environment, which cannot be unambiguously defined as order (space) or chaos. The article suggests that we must plan for the sustainable development of mankind and move on to the policy of new pragmatism. Thus, in the conditions of the new normality, a new paraconsistent political thinking is required in Russian-Ukrainian relations. All parties to the conflict lack reflexivity, and on the ideological plane, they are fighting a fictitious image of the enemy. Old ideologemes such as “Russian aggression” or “Bandera’s” are not productive in describing the Other. We need a new pragmatism based on territorial proximity, economics and logistics. The author proceeds from the deontic modality, believing that Russia and Ukraine do not sufficiently use the resource of reflexivity in a complex political game. Non-classical society and the complexity of processes and social systems do not allow successfully implementing a linear management model for complex political and economic processes. The reflexive approach allows one to adequately study the metastable states of the counterparty, relying on the context of its values. Ukraine, like any frontier culture, is an amalgam that arose at the junction of the Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Turkish, and Jewish worlds. The correct construction of a supra-ethnic multilingual nation is the secret of Ukraine's success. This solution is very modern, since the global trend is pluralism and multipolarity.

Methodological approach to spacecraft development cost calculation

The aim of this work is to develop a methodological approach to the development of a unified, common for all developers, computer-aided branch procedure for spacecraft development cost estimation based on a spacecraft cost model and practical recommendations on computer-aided branch procedure development. The cost parameters of the development, manufacturing, and operation of new spacecraft and their technical level (perfection) are the determining factors in competitiveness assessment. To decide on the advisability of starting or resuming the development of a new spacecraft, one has to correctly estimate the development cost. Using the standardized calculation method in estimating the development cost for new space hardware is unacceptable for lack of bug-free design and production documentation, which is the end product of any development activity. Parametric methods (the basic methods used to estimate the spacecraft development cost in the USA and Europe) cannot be used in the development of a high-quality procedure for spacecraft development cost estimation for lack of a branch statistical database on spacecraft development labor intensiveness and materials consumption at the State Space Agency of Ukraine. This calls for a nonstandard cost model of spacecraft development. The authors’ cost model is based on a method of componentwise analogy for simple spacecraft components, moving (up and down) along the edges of a weighted oriented tree graph that models the spacecraft technical structure, and fuzzy analysis methods. The tree graph Gi(V(С),D) models the spacecraft technical structure (V, C, and D are the sets of graph vertices and edges and spacecraft components, respectively; to each graph vertex there corresponds a spacecraft component). The paper presents a nonstandard cost model of spacecraft development, which in its essence is close to a nonlinear parametric cost model, and a scientific methodology for the development of an advanced branch procedure for spacecraft development cost calculation with component and stage detailing.

MISE EN SCENE FILM CRITICISM IN THE CONTEXT OF THE FILM WAITING FOR HEAVEN

It is a need to tell, to share the experience. A human being is an entity that tells stories and also needs stories. Myths and tales have explained the world to human beings when rational mind was not used and science was not developed yet. Myths are the first teachers of humanity, and tales have continued to form new narratives with new tools in the later ages. By the 20th century, humanity meets with a new storytelling tool. Apart from narrative films, cinema, although there are genres such as educational films, documentaries or news films, primarily undertook the mission of 'storytelling' and attracted the attention of the masses by telling stories. The paradoxical relationships and distance presented by the contemporary world to humanity are presented to the audience through sounds and images, and the audience tries to make sense of the existence of its environment and itself in a critical framework. Director and cinema question themselves in contemporary cinema narratives. The greatest innovation brought by contemporary cinema is hidden in the feature that leads the narrative to questioning activism. In the study, Derviş Zaim's, one of the most important directors of modern Turkish cinema, film Waiting for Heaven, was used as an example. The film was evaluated under the titles of technical structure, light, sound, time and space, actor, movement and performance, decor, costume and make-up in order to gain a qualitative understanding of the work. Blue-green infrastructure as a new trend and an effective tool for water management in urban areas

Blue-green infrastructures (BGI) integrate solutions implemented to enhance water management and landscape values for more climateresilient and livable cities. BGI have created an opportunity to renew the natural structure of water balance in cities through the increase in rainwater retention and enlargement of permeable areas. The review of the literature on BGI development and solutions showed that the most popular BGI elements in terms of urban water quantity and quality were rain gardens, green roofs, vertical greening systems, and permeable pavements. Their structure and effectiveness were presented and reviewed. Despite the consensus between researchers that BGI benefit urban hydrology, differences in runoff decreased (2%-100%) lowering the peak flows (7%-70%) and infiltration (to 60%) or evapotranspiration (19%-84%) were reported. Due to an individual technical structure, each BGI element plays a specific role and there is no universal BGI solution against water-related problems. We inferred that the most effective ones were individually adapted solutions, which prevent from a stressor. The greater variety of solutions in a given area, the more benefits for the urban environment. Our analyses showed that a holistic and co-creative approach to create blue-green networks should be considered in modern water management plans.

Development of the Technical Structure of the “Cow Energy” Concept

Regional energy supply is an important topic in the context of the energy transition in Germany. The “Cow Energy” project aims to combine the production of energy and milk for the farmer. In order to take the different needs into account, a central energy management system (EMS) is being established. This system records and simulates how much electricity is generated from renewable sources (biogas, solar, wind, etc.) on the farm. This is compared with the consumption of the barn technology (milking robot, feeding robot, etc.). This energy management is regulated according to the needs of the cows. In order to balance the fluctuations between energy production and energy consumption, the EMS regulates various battery systems. One goal is to network this energy system with the region and to establish regional energy networks.

Virtual Environment for Labs & Projects

The purpose of the Virtual Lab project is to provide students with online access to a variety of engineering control experiments, located in the laboratory control of several laboratories. Three German universities are currently developing the Virtual Lab as a network of remote access laboratories to establish a pilot testing facility. Assumed students are usually located in an area that is geographically distributed (e.g. at home) and are able to access far from our tests. Virtual Lab is based on the concept of grade learning because some students (e.g. professionals) may be interested in studying even in the most remote areas of the campus which eliminates the need for personal presence. In Virtual Lab they are able to acquire some practice of controlling theory in their own time saving time and travel costs. A Java-based client / server-based approach is proposed. This paper discusses the requirements for remote testing and presents the technical structure and initial results of the project.

Simulation of a heating automation system for a «smart» residential building

The article deals with the issues of constructive, structural modeling and automatic control of room heating. The dynamics of the object-the heating system of a residential building-is obtained. Dynamic errors are determined by the dynamic characteristics of the temperature sensor. The design scheme of the object is presented. The heating control system contains three temperature controllers. Using structural modeling, various methods of automatic control of the heating system are evaluated. The technical structure of the automatic temperature control system (ACS) in a residential building is implemented by a cascade three-circuit control with two executive elements. Experimental studies of transients in a closed ACS with three types of regulators are presented. The results obtained make it possible to implement adaptive control of the heating system on a real object.

Web-based support for individuals with type 2 diabetes - a feasibility study

Background Self-care is one of the cornerstones in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Patients with type 2 diabetes struggle to maintain acceptable levels of blood sugar, blood pressure and lipids, the fundamental for the prevention of macro- and microvascular as well as neuropathic complications. The primary aim of the study was to evaluate the feasibility and describe patients’ and caregivers’ experiences of using the web- and smartphone-based system Triabetes. The secondary aim was to investigate if the use of the system could improve patients’ clinical outcomes. Methods Feasibility was assessed with describing recruitment rate and the participant´s views of using the system. Laboratory and anthropometry data were also collected. Results The study showed that recruitment of patients to participate in the intervention was limited and compliance to the study protocol was low. A majority of the patients stated that the system was easy to get an overview of and that the system motivated them and made it easier and fun to handle lifestyle habits. A secondary finding of the study was that there was a significant lowering of LDL values. Conclusions Feasibility in terms of recruitment rate was low. The participants agreed that the application overall was useful but suggested several improvements. Summarized lessons learned from this study are following: (1) we need more knowledge about what motivates a person to use a digital tool for a longer period of time; (2) the tool must be easy and less time consuming to use; (3) the technical structure needs to be improved and automatic recording of data must be improved.

Analysis of Egg Poultry Enterprise in Southeastern Anatolia Region in Turkey

In this paper, in Southeastern Anatolia of Turkey, the technical structure of enterprises engaged in the egg producing, such as firm characteristics, hens characteristics, egg farming and health- protection were investigated. For this purpose, in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, the provinces of Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Batman, Adıyaman, Mardin and Kilis were included in the study. The enterprises surveyed in these provinces were determined using the simple random sampling method. As a result of this statistical study, a survey was conducted in determined 17 enterprises. It was reported that in recent years an increase in the number of enterprises established has been determined in Southeastern Anatolia Region. The vast majority of them have modern enterprises. In general, the enterprises in the region are concluded to have similar properties, the structural and technical specifications. It was observed during the fields investigation that the main problems of the enterprises in the region are raised the disease, the feeding, the marketing, animal material, the education of workers and the climatic conditions. These mentioned egg poultry farming should be solved by supplying economical funds, educational programs and supporting the enterprises with leading edge technologies.
