Bistability is a common mechanism to ensure robust and irreversible cell cycle transitions. Whenever biological parameters or external conditions change such that a threshold is crossed, the system abruptly switches between different cell cycle states. Experimental studies have uncovered mechanisms that can make the shape of the bistable response curve change dynamically in time. Here, we show how such a dynamically changing bistable switch can provide a cell with better control over the timing of cell cycle transitions. Moreover, cell cycle oscillations built on bistable switches are more robust when the bistability is modulated in time. Our results are not specific to cell cycle models and may apply to other bistable systems in which the bistable response curve is time-dependent.

Video based outward appearance affirmation has been a long standing issue and pulled in creating thought starting late. The way to a productive outward appearance affirmation system is to manhandle the conceivable outcomes of shifting media modalities and structure incredible highlights to effectively depict the facial appearance and course of action changes achieved by facial developments. We propose a powerful system to address this issue in this paper. In our examination, both visual modalities (face pictures) and sound modalities (talk) are used. Another part descriptor known as bar chart of familiarized Gradients from 3 Orthogonal Planes (HOG-TOP) is projected to free dynamic surfaces from video courses of action to depict facial look changes. In addition, another effective geometric element got from the curve change of facial places of interest is proposed to get facial plan changes.

In the article the development of a mathematical model describing the PRC is studied on the base of pressure recovery curve method.Detailed processing of the pressure recovery curve made it possible to determine the deterioration of reservoir permeability in many wells. Here two methods are considered - stationary (steady conditions of selection) and non- stationary. The article proves that the use of these methods allows to develop a mathematical model to increase the determination of this task.On the base of numerical simulation, the following facts had impact on the results of the pressure recovery curve: well shutdown time, taking into account the initial transition section, taking into account curve change section before well shutdown. The study of variable factors impact on the results is carried out by interval estimation. The mathematical model describing the pressure recovery curve is local and changes its structures. This model can be used in industry conditions.

The effect of downstream valve closure scheduling was analyzed to find optimal closure parameters that lead to the minimal maximum pressure head in the water distribution system. Several valve closure strategies were explored, combining the known valve performance curve (change in flow as a function of change in valve's opened area) with unknown valve closure curve (change in valve's opened area as a function of time). Second-order polynomial curve, power function curve, and piece-wise linear curve were implemented and compared. Genetic algorithm and quasi-Newton (QN) optimization methods were applied. The methodology was tested for three networks, including looped gravitational and pressurized networks. The results demonstrate that flexible multi-parametric valve closure curve and QN optimization method are more effective in minimizing the maximum pressure head in the system.

For the retaining wall in translation, in this paper the writers present the minor principal stresses trajectory which named minor principal stress arches. By discussing the results of the various arch curves in arching effect with different displacements of retaining wall which include the arch curves in ultimate model of soil and the arch curves in none limit state of soil. It gets the soil arch curve change rule under different state of the displacements, different friction angles and different height: the arch curve turn gentle when the displacements increase.

Soil nutrient in greenhouse soil was studied in Haicheng Municipality, Liaoning province. Results showed that the soil nutrient including organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, alkaline hydrolysis nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium presented parabolic curve change with increasing cultivating years. The highest contents all appeared in 8 years, which are 3.2 and 2.8 times higher than those in open field at 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm depth, respectively. The vertex of nitrate and soluble salt were also appeared in 8 years. Correlation analysis suggested the relationships among nutrients were very significant. It is also suggested the salinization of soil was the inevitable result of the excessive organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer.

Based on the multi-layer elastic system theory, large general used finite element software is used to analysis in the paper. The maximal shear stress SXY is analysed entirely by computing the structure layer bottom maximal shear stress SXY of the different combinations under the different axis load. The results show: the more the axis load, the more the shear stress SXY; the shear stress SXY decreases quickly along with the structure layer deep increasing; the relations between the basic layer rigidity and the shear stress are curve change laws.

Twin-rotor cylinder-embedded piston engine are a high power density and no valve mechanism engine. Given the motion law of two rotors sine curve change, its kinematic model of rod can be established, and key parameters of rod related to engine performance, such as angular displacement, velocity and acceleration of rod are presented. And then the kinematic model of rod is imported into MATLAB, the moving law of angular displacement, velocity and acceleration of rod are analyzed by changing the value of swing amplitude k. It can be concluded that the changes of rods motion are periodic, relatively gentle, and the periodic of angular displacement, velocity and acceleration of rod are the same. For different value of k, the fluctuation of velocity and acceleration of rod are in direct proportion to k and angular displacement of rod is fixed.
