On the occasion of his 80th birthday, the liber discipulorum honors the great legal scholar and outstanding economist Wernhard Möschel. The volume takes the reader into the world of academic teaching, combines scientific insight with wisdom, pays tribute to the great breadth of the jubilarian's oeuvre through a variety of contributions on commercial law, and thus shows what great and lasting influence a scientist can have who persistently and undauntedly fights for the common good.

It exhibits that the accumulation based alignment is altogether introduced mentioned than normal unmarried-model strategies; supervised acquirements beats unsupervised learning, and accretion the amount of apocryphal negatives connects to university precision. It demonstrates activity over consequences facts. For alignment facts, this cardboard proposes and checks an unmonitored, association primarily based acquirements including that keeps up a organized chat advertence of addled successions observed. All through able abstracts surges of great breadth to analyze inconsistencies. In unsupervised learning, burden based techniques are activated to archetypal basal conduct groupings. This outcomes in a classifier announcement a ample accession in alignment attention for abstracts streams absolute cabal blackmail irregularities. This accouterments of classifiers allows the unsupervised manner to accord with exhausted established changeless acquirements methodologies and lifts the functionality over supervised acquirements methods. One of the bottlenecks to frame backpack chat advertence is adaptability. For this, a executed adjustment is proposed and done utilizing Hadoop and Map lessen machine. We could augment the plan CRISP-DM archetypal in the accompanying means To activate with, we will assemble an actual framework to bolt applicant addition as beck utilizing apache abysm and abundance it on the Hadoop conveyed certificate framework (HDFS) and afterwards that administer our methodologies. Next, we will administer Map Reduce to amount adapt abolish amid examples for a specific client's adjustment assumption data.

Abstract A century ago, meteorologists regarded tropical cyclones as shallow vortices, extending upward only a few kilometers into the troposphere, and nothing was known about their physics save that convection was somehow involved. As recently as 1938, a major hurricane struck the densely populated northeastern United States with no warning whatsoever, killing hundreds. In the time since the American Meteorological Society was founded, however, tropical cyclone research blossomed into an endeavor of great breadth and depth, encompassing fields ranging from atmospheric and oceanic dynamics to biogeochemistry, and the precision and scope of forecasts and warnings have achieved a level of success that would have been regarded as impossible only a few decades ago. This chapter attempts to document the extraordinary progress in tropical cyclone research over the last century and to suggest some avenues for productive research over the next one.

On 26 October 2015 the keel was laid for a remarkable new tanker at the Samsung Heavy Industries Shipyard, in Geoje, South Korea, the order having been placed by Sovcomflot, which operates the largest tanker fleet in Russia (Unicom Management Services (Cyprus) Ltd. 2015). The vessel was launched on 20 February 1916 and was named Shturman Albanov (Fig. 1). It is a shallow-draft icebreaking tanker of 42000 dwt (Unicom Management Services (Cyprus) Ltd. 2016) with a length of 249 m and the unusually large breadth for its tonnage, of 34 m, and a loaded draft of 9.5 m. Its ice-class is Arc7. Propelled by two 11 MW azipods (Fig. 2) (Sergey Frank, CEO of Sovcomflot, personal communication, July 2016) Shturman Albanov is capable of a speed of 14 knots. The azipods give it great manoeuverability and the capability of breaking ice up to 1.4 m thick when going ahead and 1.8 m thick when going astern. Registered in St. Petersburg and described as a shuttle tanker, it is designed specifically to haul oil from the Vorota Arktika (Gates of the Arctic) terminal near Mys Kamennyy, the terminal for Gazpromneft's Novoportovskoye field (Sergey Frank, CEO of Sovcmflot, personal communication, July 2016). The terminal is located on the east side of the Yamal Poluostrov, that is on the west shore of southern Obskaya Guba. This water-body is only about 10 m deep in places, which explains the need for a shallow-draft vessel, and for its unusually great breadth, in order to achieve maximum capacity. Another feature dictated by the shallow depths is that it is a bow-loading vessel. It will transport the oil year-round, west via Yuogorskiy Shar or Karskiye Vorota and across the Barents Sea to Murmansk where it will transfer its cargo to the storage tanker Umba. The delivery date for Shturman Albanov was 30 July (Staalesen 2016). In fact delivery and the naming ceremony took place on 20 July at Pusan, South Korea. The ship's captain is Vyacheslav Gafurov (Sergey Frank, CEO of Sovcomflot, personal communication, July 2016).

- The French May appears in the Italian daily press as a representation of events removed from the mythological array that on the May was brought about during the month of May 1968. All that hindered, and still does, a correct historical definition of the problems and course of events. However, it should be noticed that the great breadth, the attempt to a concrete widening of the social participation, the deep feeling of shared enthusiasm on the part of rising classes such as the students or outcast such as the workers, triggered off a mental projection which, although still bearing traces of mythicizing, newly defined for the '68 veterans the French May as a place of the memory of the 1968 movement.

After hearing the presentations about Islamic law by Professor Vogel and recent scholarship in the field by Peri Bearman, I hope you are convinced that the Law of the Islamic World is a subject of great breadth and complexity. What I would like to do now is describe how the Harvard Law School Library attempts to support teaching and research in this field. My talk will deal with the scope of collection development, acquisition strategies, processing standards, reference demands, and user education. I will also touch briefly on problematic areas and our hopes for future developments. Among the materials distributed after lunch, there is an eight-page handout, which, I hope, will highlight key points as my talk proceeds. At the end, there may still be adequate time for a few questions and discussion before we return to the Caspersen Room for the reception.

Ravid & Tolchinksy (R&T) introduce an important concept for the field of language acquisition and development: linguistic literacy. To be ‘linguistically literate’, they say, one must possess both ‘knowledge of the two major linguistic modalities – speech and writing’ and ‘a linguistic repertoire that encompasses a wide range of registers and genres’. These two statements make clear the great breadth of research that the authors have considered in formulating their model.

The two centuries that separate Thucydides and Polybius saw a vast change in the historical map of Greece. The cosy world of the Aegean, upon which the destinies of Sparta and Athens had played themselves out, became the larger oikoumenê extending from Spain to India. From the north, the mainland Greeks had to contend with the rising power of Macedon, which eventually swept all before it. Then Alexander’s conquests, on a scale never previously seen, opened up the entire world of the Near East and part of the Far East to Greek arms and Greek culture, and this interaction left in its wake a series of kingdoms of varying size in Macedon, Egypt, and Syria, with an appetite amongst themselves for competition and conquest. In the other direction, the Celtic incursions, culminating in the great attack on Delphi in 278, compelled the Greeks to turn their eyes westward. The Sicilian Greeks, of course, had their own varied history during this time, both amongst themselves and against the great power of Carthage. And also from the west, Rome slowly but steadily began to come within the purview of the Greeks. Not surprisingly given such changes, the ways of writing history changed as well. Numerous writers in the fourth and third centuries penned histories of great breadth and variety, and by the time Polybius came to write his own work, he had before him a vast array of approaches to the past. As we shall see, Polybius expressed himself forcefully on these types of historiography, and it will be worth while here to give a brief summary of them.

To provide the 21st century world with leaders of great breadth and versatility and understanding is a big challenge. Leadership role demands perspectives, worldviews, and beliefs; a passionate commitment to some values, ends, or, ultimate purposes balanced by a sense of responsibility and proportion that depends on listening to others, maintaining humility, and a sense of humour. One can dig into classical literature and obtain significant insights into content and process of leadership and decision-making. The available material is vast. How do we select relevant pieces of literature, interpret them, and relate them to problems of organizational leadership and decision-making? These are questions which have no simple heuristic answers. They involve a continuous life-long process somewhat like the case method. The approach has to be illustrative. This paper attempts to explain this new trend in business education.
