The existing issues during the combustion of Kazakh coal from the Ekibastuz basin in the Omsk energy system are noted. The environmental problems of coal generation in Omsk are outlined. The possibility of transferring the Omsk coal-fired thermal power plants to the combustion of domestic coals is considered. The options for increasing the efficiency of using solid fossil fuel in the production of electric and thermal energy are given. The existing problem of storing ash and slag wastes obtained by burning high-ash Ekibastuz coals is noted. The transfer of the Omsk CHPPs to the combustion of brown coal from the Kansk-Achinsky deposit, provided that highly effective environmentally friendly technologies are used It is noted that the technology of combustion of fuels in a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) has been industrially developed and implemented in power boilers. The results of operation of the first in Russia CFB boiler of unit No. 9 with a capacity of 330 MW at the Novocherkasskaya SDPP are presented

Experience, current situation and the prospects for operation of mining and processing enterprises for production of montan wax from brown coal are analyzed. Classification of the main technologies for the use of solid fossil fuel mineral has been performed. The features the technological process for production of montan wax, taking into account the experience of leading enterprises in Germany and Ukraine, are considered. Prospective directions for renewing the production of montan wax on the basis of brown coal reserves of Dneprovskiy brown coal basin are indicated. The evaluation of the attractiveness of production montan wax with the application of cash flow projection methods was carried out. Recommendations on the integrated development of brown coal deposits and processing of brown coal in order to attract foreign investment and support the competitiveness of the country's market have been developed.

The aim of this work was of evaluate the introduction of petroleum coke in a red ceramic. Petroleum coke is a solid fossil fuel, petroleum derivative, of black color and granular form approximately, obtaining as a byproduct from distillation of petroleum, by the process called "cracking" heat. This product represents from 5% to 10% of the total oil in the refinery. With percentage of 0%, 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% coke added into clay were obtained ceramic pieces. After drying at 110°C and firing at 750°C, 800°C and 850°C, were obtained the mechanical and physical properties and the Weibull distribution, used to evaluate the failure probability of the material. The results show the influence of petroleum coke in ceramics, suggesting introduce 1% of coke at 800oC, when the Weibull modulus reaches value 9 (m=9).
