Uterine fibroid is the most common solid benign tumour which affects merely pre-menopause age. It is 3rd leading cause of hysterectomy. It gives a negative impact on women’s physical and social activities. A 45-year-old female patient approached the OPD complaining of heavy menstrual bleeding, heaviness in the abdomen, something coming out of the vagina. USG abdomen scan revealed a big myometrium fibroid in the fundus. She was suggest- ed a hysterectomy for the same. However, due to its complications patient was not willing for surgery. So, she was treated as per Ayurvedic basic line of treatment of Yoni Vyapad. She was administered Ashokarista and Chandraprabha Vati for 2 months along with two cycles of Yogbasti Chikitsa. After 2 months all symptoms were subsided. In follow up scan after 6 months revealed an absence of fibroid. During this treatment, the patient did not report any negative effects suggesting the progression of the disease. An attempt has been made for successful management of fibroid of the uterus in premenopausal age to relieve her symptoms. After menopause, the fibroid may be automatically shrinking due to a lack of oestrogen and progesterone. The case study will build confidence among ayurvedic practitioners to treat a fibroid of the uterus in premenopausal age with safe, non-invasive and non-hormonal management fibroid through Ayurveda, Keywords: uterine fibroid, garbhashaygata arbud, basti, yoni vyapad

The COVID19 pandemic impact made a major revision in development thinking that is presenting fundamental challenge to the conventional consensus on economic development. The Indian rural economy is the great economic philosophy which involves economic and social values in itself. The basic model of such economy has several features which makes it self-dependent, the same model had motivated the Indian freedom revolution towards the swadeshi, indigenousness, with the icon of charkha, unified the whole country against foreign economic dominance and later to the freedom. Rural economy serves as the backbone and basic line of evolution of economy. It represents the single working unit with all the functions of economy. In post COVID19 era, need of self-reliance and sustainable economy, could be addressed through rural economical model existed in India since centuries.

AbstractThis paper proposes a reconstruction of Georg Lukács’ thesis of reification by viewing it through the normative theory of consciousness. As I see it, reification of consciousness is the result of the ways that norms that have been patterned by external social systems come to be absorbed into the background structures of cognition. As a result, consciousness becomes increasingly fitted to these normative patterns. A web of norms therefore comes to heteronomously link consciousness and social systems via processes of socialisation. I end with a consideration of how a theory of critical judgment can be used to overcome this reification of consciousness, all the while sticking to Lukács’ basic line of argument.

Introduction. John Polemis thought that in On Education the notions of logos, paideia and theoria were synonymous. Meanwhile, Igor P. Medvedev stressed in his trail-blazing book the variety of meanings of theoria in the Late Byzantine period. Relying upon his ideas and evidence, we would like to underline, in our turn, Metochites’ diversification of meanings of this notion. As a skillful conductor or musician, he was able to tune into different waves when speaking about mundane or ecclesiastical affairs. In a number of points, he diverged from traditional Orthodoxy. Methods. Using the traditional set of historical, philosophical, and hermeneutic methods, as well as those of comparative religious and cultural studies, we try to single out and analyze in some detail different layers of meaning in the treatise under discussion. If our author had made digressions into theological knowledge, it does not mean that he would have given himself completely to theology alone, as the basic line of his reasoning remained philosophical and mundane. As compared to what his fellow-Churchmen, like Callistos I, wrote on the issue of education, Metochites’ ideas turn to be a rather clear-cut continuation of the ancient paideia and not especially spiritual knowledge derived from the Christian Revelation. Analysis. Thus, in his cosmological deliberations Metochites ran a risk to turn the world-creating power of God into something temporary and liable to change. He certainly did not learn well the lessons of the patristic tradition represented, e.g., by Ps.-Maximos’ Chapters Full of Knowledge dating back to the 7th – 8th centuries. This led to the fact that he had not recognized the operations of divine world-ordering energy in the created universe, and thus had confirmed the old assumption of H.-G. Beck that Metochites were unfamiliar with Ps.-Maximos the Confessor. At the same time, some Theodore’s ideas come close to those uttered by Ps.-Maximos. Both authors criticize indeed the notion of a pure and self-contained contemplation (which expresses the negative meaning of theoria) unattached to a person’s struggle with passions and vices. Even more intriguing is their common use of a widespread patristic concept of “cultivating the land of one’s mind” (or: “heart”). Given the fact of Metochites’ pronounced admiration of Orthodox monasticism (see, e.g., Ch. 13 of On Education), this parallel may not be incidental. It seems to be traceable to the common Biblical and ancient roots of the Byzantine spiritual culture. Results. If it is difficult to unambiguously resolve the issue of Ps.-Maximos’ or Metochites’ influence exerted to his counterpart, it is not to say, however, that there was not a high degree of cohesion and integrity within the philosophical and theological synthesis of the middle- and late Byzantine patristic tradition and spiritual culture in general. It is within this framework that a scholar should analyze Metochites’ ideas as expressed in On Education and elsewhere.

To solve the scheduling problem of a single hoist with processing-time-window constraints considering buffer-setting, we consider bi-objective scheduling which makes trade-offs between the cycle time and the hoist travel distance. First, a bi-objective mixed-integer programming model is constructed for the basic line without considering buffer-setting. In order to improve the throughput of the basic line, a transform method with buffer-setting is put forward. Based on the basic line model, a subsection searching ε-constraint method which combines the transform method is introduced to solve the bi-objective mixed-integer programming model. Experimental results both on benchmark instances and on randomly generated instances indicate that the proposed approach is efficient and buffers can improve the throughputs.

The features of structures’ deformations definition are considered, using the method of parallel lines. As basic marks it is recommended to use a tubular type of marks with a bom on a little table having two apertures (with the displaced centres) for installing the device and smaps. Usually, the quantity of parallel lines does not exceed two. Mainly one additional line which displaced concerning to the basic line on known size within of 50–100 mm is used. The control of vision at definition of displacement is the constancy of divergences of results of friability sizes received from two parallel lines. In clause it is marked that the presence second line allows to spend supervision from one end line but this to have independent measurement of friability sizes. The practice of conducting jobs has shown that as a result of use of parallel lines method it was possible to achieve some increase of accuracy of measurement.

After the abortive attempts of the bishop Hilarius of Poitiers, Ambrosius, bishop of Milan, created with the metrum Ambrosianum the starting point for Latin Hymnody by using a familiar pagan meter, the iambic dimeter, as the basic line. Combining four such lines into a stanza he followed the type of the four-line stanzas of Horace. With eight such stanzas he found a model for Christian hymnody for centuries. The text of four of the innumerable Ambrosian hymns is attested for Ambrosius by Augustine. As the ancient notation fell into disuse in the 6th century ad, the melodies of the Ambrosian hymns were transmitted orally until the 10th century. They appear in the medieval manuscripts with neumatic or alphabetic notation, but without rhythmical values and adorned by rich melismata, which mirror the predilections of each monastic community. Five of them are attributed to Ambrosius, from which this inquiry has to begin.
