The sellers post their ads on multiple sites to reach out to a larger audience. This means buyers have to find their desired vehicle on multiple sites to compare the prices because buyers always look for lower prices. This search needs to visit and find ads on multiple vehicle entertaining websites, which requires much time. In this paper, we are proposing a unique “Automobile Search Engine” (ASE) which grabs all the automobile ads posted on different websites. Our solution will give a single search for automobile ads. The user can get all the ads based on his/her search criteria. ASE will find all the ads for different websites and will display the results. The user can then compare the searched ads on one single view. ASE supported Multi Thread Crawler.

Nightlife Ethnography: A Phenomenological Approach

This chapter offers advice on how to conduct phenomenological ethnographic research in nightlife settings such as bars, nightclubs, and music festivals. It argues that phenomenological ethnography focuses on studying experiences as they occur to the people living them. Phenomenological ethnographers use their bodies as research instruments to develop an experiential connection and understanding of the people they are studying. Priority is given to clarifying essential properties of embodied, emotional, and sensory experiences, and to describing these as precisely as possible. The chapter proposes that the Durkheimian concept of collective effervescence may be used as a sensitizing tool to understand and describe some of the essence of what people search for, and sometimes experience, in nightlife settings. In particular, the concept is helpful in the study of intensive forms of celebration and intoxication. The chapter concludes with policy recommendations and suggestions to direct future research.

Resonant Retiring? Experiences of Resonance in the Transition to Retirement

In the process of life course transitions, relations between the self and the world transform, which can according to Hartmut Rosa be framed as resonance. This article focuses on the retirement transition and thus on the exit from gainful employment as one of the central spheres of our world relationship in late modernity. It raises the following questions: How do experiences of resonance change in the course of the retirement transition? Does the loss of gainful employment lead to disruptions or even the absence of resonance in terms of alienation? And which role do dimensions of social inequality, such as gender, income, education or mental health status play for resonance transformations in the transition to retirement? In terms of a reflexive mixed-methods design, this article combines quantitative panel data from the German Ageing Survey (2008–17) with a qualitative longitudinal study from the project “Doing Retiring” (2017–21). Our results show that the transition from work to retirement entails a specific “resonance choreography” that comprises a phase of disaffection (lack of resonance) at the end of one’s working life followed by a liminal phase in which people search for intensified experiences of resonance. We outline practices in which transitioning subjects seek out resonance, and the experiences they make within this process according to their social positions. We thereby find that the desire for resonance tends to be beyond intentional resonance management which manifests in products and services like coaching or wellness. In our conclusions, we discuss how resonance theory and retirement research/life course research can be fruitfully combined, but also highlight the methodological challenges the operationalization of resonance entails.

Travel Behavior of Car Travelers with the Presence of Park-and-Ride Facilities and Autonomous Vehicles

Travelers' behavior is predicted based on their individual preferences. People search for alternatives to maximize their benefit from doing activities, such as increasing the activity time by minimizing the travel time. Traffic congestion and the scarcity of parking spaces in the city center motivate the decision-makers to encourage travelers to use the park-and-ride (P&R) system. An evaluation concerning the impact of using the P&R system on the travel behavior of car users is conducted. Some of the existing P&R facilities are incorporated into the daily activity plans of car travelers to produce new daily activity plans (i.e., P&R facility is considered an activity). By using the Multi-Agent Transport Simulation (MATSim) open-source tool, simulations of the daily activity plans including the P&R system and autonomous vehicles (AVs) are conducted. The study examines three scenarios: (1) a simulation of the existing condition, (2) a simulation of the daily activity plans of the travelers with the P&R system, and (3) a simulation of the daily activity plans of the travelers with the P&R system and AVs. The results show that using the P&R system increases the overall travel time compared with the existing conditions, and the use of AVs as a transport mode impacts the existing modal share as follows: 64 % of the car users switch to AVs, while 15 % of the car users switch to public transport. The output of this study might be used by policy-makers in parking pricing and the location of the P&R facilities.

With the increasingly frequent use of books in digital format, people search for the desired subjects in a faster way compared to the search in physical books. This work aimed to develop a computational resource in the form of an application for Android smartphones, which, based on an image captured from a page in a book, performs searches by keywords. The purpose of using the application is to help the reader to find the desired information quickly. We use Computer Vision techniques with the aid of the OpenCV library in the development of algorithms to perform segmentation, correction of the perspective of the book page image, identification and rectification of the wavy lines, recognition and character classification. The results shown were promising with a hit rate of over 88%.

How Do People Search Information on Content and Sources? Integrating Source Search in Information Boards

Information forms the basis for beliefs, judgements, decision making, and behavior. Nowadays, the amount of information available is continually increasing. Still, the quality and credibility of the corresponding sources vary widely. Thus, to avoid making judgments and decisions on basis of biased information, the credibility of information and sources must be carefully evaluated. However, information regarding the source is often not immediately accessible and, instead, must be purposefully sought. The standard information board paradigm does not include such a source information search. Therefore, we investigated whether that paradigm can be extended with an active search of source information in order to investigate search behaviors with regard to content und source information. To do so, we presented participants with information boards on different topics from two domains (i.e., health and education). The boards contained a question to outline the topic of information search in addition to four related sources. For each source, we provided information on topic-related expertise and potential conflicts of interest as well as content information regarding the question (i.e., pro and contra arguments). Information was hidden so that participants had to actively search the information. We were interested in the search start, search amount, differences in search between the domains and belief revision due to information search. Results show that participants primarily began information search with source expertise before continuing on to content information. In general, both content and source information were searched. Domain did not influence the start but the search amount⎯more information was searched on topics in the educational domain. In addition, search appeared to influence prior beliefs. For some topics, we observed changes in beliefs following information search.The findings indicate that our variations in the information board paradigm can be used to investigate content information search and source information search simultaneously.

Purchase of Aphrodisiacs; A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study in the Kumasi Metropolis of Ghana

Sexuality is an important part of an individual’s quality of life. Reduced sexual function is common and can be treated. People search all heights and depths for substances they could use to stimulate and increase sexual desire in themselves and others. The non-prescription procurement and use of medicines have become a major challenge in Ghana. However, it is unknown how serious this situation is with regards to aphrodisiacs. This study therefore assessed the purchase and consumption of aphrodisiacs within the Kumasi metropolis. Retail pharmacies were involved in this study. Quota sampling was used to determine the number of pharmacies to be selected from each sub-metro while stratified sampling was then used to select participating pharmacies for the study. Males between the ages of 31 and 45 years purchased aphrodisiacs from pharmacies the most (56, 38.5%) and the rate of purchase of aphrodisiacs from retail outlets (104, 70.3%) is high. Aphrodisiacs were consumed to prolong erection as well as enhance pleasure. However, this practice is seen by many as inappropriate and reported by many to be associated with very serious adverse effects, with headaches being the most dominant adverse effect reported.

How online behavior demonstrates psychological conflicts in Emile Durkheim’s collective consciousness of societies highly involved in the COVID-19 pandemic

Background: According to Emile Durkheim’s theory, we can consider societies as having a collective consciousness. To predict the behavior of societies, it is wise to consider the most involved conflicts in their collective consciousness. Methods: We can use online behavior such as Google searches to find an approach to what goes on inside the souls of societies, because when many people search for a term, it means that there is a conflict about that term in the collective consciousness of that society. In this article, during the unprecedented situation that all countries around the globe are confronting due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, we sought to track the online behavior of nine countries that were seriously involved. Results:As human conflicts are well categorized in Cloninger’s proposed planes of being, we selected search terms according to this category through conflict tables. Patterns of denial, recalling the Black Death, anxiousness, greed, competition, and tendencies of violence were also seen around the world. In most countries, the major findings/issues at the Spiritual, Intellectual, Emotional, Material and Sexual planes were those concerning "Compassion (Conciliation)", "Lack of Prudence", "Lack of Calmness and the Lack of Benevolence", and "Lack of Charity and Lack of Discretion or Forethought", respectively. Conclusion: Awakening each conflict can result in behaviors that concern both societies and government. Predicting these behaviors can help societies take necessary measures and interventions. This especially lends new insights for educational systems in setting policies.
