Current microcomputer protection experimental system is created based on LabVIEW. Each module was created based on the modular thinking (data acquisition module, start module, algorithm module). Functions of microcomputer protection were implemented. Fault data was generated by fault simulation software MATLAB. LabVIEW controls and loop structure achieved simulating a variety of action logical relationship of computer protection. This system had many advantages, such as visibility, controllability, authenticity and flexibility. The system was able to verify the performance of computer protection at different fault. The system was also able to analyze the situation of computer protection maloperation and misoperation, thus it further provided teaching platform for the three section current microcomputer protection experiment.

This paper analyzed the main interference sources and their influences on the operation of protection both in the smart substation and the traditional substation. The interferences could be suppressed by reducing radiation of the interference sources, blocking the coupling channel of common-mode interference, promoting the anti-electromagnetic interference ability of the sensitive circuit and designing the bleeder circuit rationally. A microcomputer protection has passed the EMC test successfully by adopting these measures.

As it is difficult to realize the traveling wave protection principle based on wavelet analysis in microcomputer protection device, a new microcomputer protection architecture based on FPGA+ARM is put forward in this paper This architecture make full use of ARM to complete relay protection principle, communication and the realization of the man-machine interface for the powerful transaction processing ability, and make use of FPGA to complete complex real-time wavelet analysis by a logic circuit for the characteristics of FPGA in high speed real-time parallel computation. It proves in experiment that this scheme is a good solution for the realization of travelling wave protection.

This paper established a 500kV microcomputer protection model with EFT/B generator. The generator was built based on the mechanism of arc forming and distinguishing when cutting off the no-load transmission line. The according parameters were set by the arc estimating formula and test data. The simulations shows that the traditional disincentive measure is limited for high voltage line and the arithmetic is still sensitive to the disturbance and made the relay set false operation. A comprehensive measure is put forward and tested by the microcomputer protection arithmetic.
