Prominent representatives of the Ukrainian therapeutic school

The article is dedicated to the memory of famous representatives of the Ukrainian therapeutic school of three generations: academician M. D. Strazhesko, professor S. Y. Shteinberg, academician L. T. Mala. The life path of prominent Ukrainian doctors has been highlighted, and their scientific heritage and scientific activities in the area of internal diseases have been analyzed. Achievements of N. D. Strazhesko, S. Y. Steinberg and L. T. Mala forever immortalized their names in the line of the most prominent representatives of medical science in Ukraine.

Rostov Regional Scientific Medical Society of Therapists: History and Present (dedicated to the 90th anniversary)

The article presents historical material revealing the activities of the Rostov Regional Scientific Medical Society of Therapists from its origins to the present day. The chronicle of the scientific therapeutic school is inextricably linked with the history of the development of Don medicine, at the origins of which were outstanding scientists and internists of the South of Russia. In October 2020, the Rostov Regional Scientific Medical Society of Therapists celebrated its 90th anniversary.

The Existence of African Jurisprudence: An Audit of Life Experience of Precolonial Anlo Traditional Society

There is a controversy about the nonexistence of African Jurisprudence fueled by a jurisprudential school of thought known as the Skeptic school of thought on African Jurisprudence. Other scholars have contributed to the debate to dispel the stance of this skeptic school. Notable among these scholars is Idowu William who described the import of these attacks by the Skeptic school as consisting in the view that African jurisprudence is at best queasy. This research was carried out using interdisciplinary approach to legal research by combining knowledge in Jurisprudence of law and anthropology of precolonial Anlo society of Gold Coast to put to rest this controversy. Secondary data on plausible theories of the jurisprudence of law were assessed and used as aids to validate what is described as laws in precolonial Anlo society in Gold Coast. The validation of the laws identified was carried through an audit of the life experience of the precolonial Anlo society from secondary sources. The study findings indicate that there exists a set of ideas surrounding the rule of law which is basically developed from experiences peculiar to Africa. These have insignificant traces of western Jurisprudence hence confirming the notion that there is African Jurisprudence. It is recommended that in order not to limit the arguments refuting the claim by the Skeptic school on African jurisprudence in the future to the legal system of precolonial Anlo society, similar audit of other precolonial African societies should be carried out to ascertain whether African jurisprudence exists. Russian therapeutic school: Dmitriy D. Pletnev, Aleksandr L. Myasnikov, Evgeniy I.Chazov

This article is devoted to a remarkable data, the 90th anniversary of Academician of Russian Academy of Science, Hero of Socialist Labour of the Soviet Union, Evgeniy I. Chazov. His multifaceted personality has been formed under an influence of Dmitriy D.Pletnev, who founded of a Russian therapeutic school at the middle of 20th, the 20th century. Evgeniy I. Chazov is known not only as a scientist and a physician, but also as a talented public health manager. He was at the head of Healthcare Ministry of Soviet Union from 1987 to 1990. Under his leadership and with his direct participation, the Soviet healthcare system acquired novel modern features: a network of diagnostic centers and pediatric healthcare facilities was organized that led to decrease in child mortality, healthcare provision in extreme conditions, development of control measures against human immunodeficiency virus, and updating the legislation on psychiatric care. Novel business principles were implemented in the country by Evgeniy I. Chazov; high tech diagnostic equipment was supplied to medical institutions.
