Although some studies have used or developed different types of metrics to assess construction productivity in the existing literature, few of them investigated those metrics systematically and the differences between assessment results. This study examined the various types of metrics used in the assessment of the productivity of construction projects. First, a literature review was conducted first to identify prevailing productivity metrics at four levels, namely trade, project, company, and industry. Then, the questionnaire was developed and disseminated to 53 Singapore-based construction companies for data collection. Subsequently, non-parametric statistical tests were conducted to analyze the data collected by the questionnaire. Results showed that the top five metrics in terms of usage frequency and relative importance were “constructability score”, “buildable design score”, “square meter of built-up floor area per man-day”, “square meter per dollar”, and “output per worker.” In addition, results showed that differences existed in the assessment results when productivity metrics at different levels were used to conduct the same measurement. This is the first study to explore the most widely used metrics in productivity assessments of construction projects and investigate possible differences in assessment results. This study could help the authorities to review, evaluate, and modify the productivity metrics used in practice. Thus, this study is beneficial to the practice as well.

Abstract The development of the world of construction in Humbang Hasundutan Regency in North Sumatra Province, development is the community’s top priority in facing the era of globalization. There are various kinds of tools used in construction work, including bulldozers, loaders, excavators, dumptruck. Analysing the skills of a project manager for a construction service company is one way of measuring the quality of a project. Company performance can be used as a measure of a company’s ability to achieve its goals. The purpose of this study was to analyse the effect of heavy equipment productivity and project manager skills on the performance of construction service companies in Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The research was conducted using quantitative methods. Data collection was carried out by means of a questionnaire. Literature study is carried out by searching through journals, research, the internet regarding theories related to the problems being studied. From the results of the analysis obtained 45 respondents, the results of the value of r of 0.061 indicate the variable has a strong influence, the distribution of the value of r table significance of 5%(0.05) to 45 respondents of 0.294, normality test of 45 respondents mean=0.00, significance value of 0.200>0.05 so that the regression model is normally distributed, the results of the hypothesis test with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, it can be concluded that sig<0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is a relationship between X and Y.

The relevance of the topic is determined by the importance of rational organization of transportation to improve the efficiency of shipping companies. At the same time, typical organizational approaches to coordination of interaction between various objects and elements of the transport system are understood as forms of organization. The paper analyzes the existing approaches to identifying sustainable forms of traffic management, their impact on the performance of transport companies. The authors note the decline in the efficiency of fleet use in Russia, the reformatting of relations in Russia between carriers and cargo owners, and the instability of the cargo base of river transport. This led to the transformation of the forms of organization of transportation and fleet movement. Therefore, many theoretical provisions in the field of organizing the work of the river fleet need to be adapted to new conditions and, consequently, to be finalized. The article formulates actual scientific tasks aimed at improving the scientific and methodological support of the system of river navigation organization in modern conditions. A system of evaluation indicators that characterize the organizational forms of navigation is proposed. To assess the degree of stability of ship traffic patterns, it is proposed to use an indicator that takes into account the number of different transitions of ships between cargo flows over a certain period and the repeatability of these transitions. The authors also formulated the features inherent in each of the forms of navigation organization. The results of experimental calculations of estimated indicators for a large Russian shipping company "V. F.Tanker", which is engaged in the transportation of oil and gas cargo. At the same time, the flights performed by the tanker fleet of the RSD-27 project company for navigation were considered.

The paper offers practical recommendations for improving the mechanisms of public-private partnership in the form of a concession. Within the scope of this study, a concession is viewed as a relationship framework in which to attain socially significant goals, the government or a municipal unit transfers to the concessionaire (natural or legal entity) the right to perform on a contractual basis some of its functions to possess, use, and under specific conditions, to dispose of public or municipal property. These relationships are valid during the concession agreement period. Guarantees to private investors in the area of PPP and infrastructure concessions have been adapted according to the current Ukrainian legislation. The concessionaire’s business guarantees include: prospects for ownership rights acquisition for property outside highway lanes; a possibility of resolving disputes in the International Arbitration Court, a possibility to launch a project company for specific project realization (a special purpose vehicle, SPV. It is argued that providing guarantees for concessionaire investment returns is paramount. The above guarantees should cover a restraint on concessionaire’s property and assets forced alienation; the principle of non-interference in the concessionaire’s business; guarantees of reimbursement by the grantor of all investments made by the concessionaire (in case of contract termination due to the grantor’s fault); envisaged norm according to which the fare is fixed at an investment-based rate that ensures compensation of the concessionaire’s expenses. The implementation of concession relationships pattern in the transport infrastructure of Ukraine has contributed to outlining the key prospects for its development and enhancement, in particular through compliance with the following principles: application of legislation in force at the time of concluding a concession agreement; imposing a legislative ban on changes related to running concession business; guarantees of concessionaire’s loss coverage caused by government authorities’ decisions that breach the concessionaires’ rights.

The paper deals with integrated marketing applied in project activities. The reason for this is the fact that such activities should refine their offer with a supplement in the project documentation but in the means of a different approach to the market. The amendment addresses recommendations to investors for the future construction and maintenance of facilities, and Lean and BIM in the design, construction and maintenance of facilities. That is why, during market processing, investors are offered an offer that solves the project task, includes design with visualization, and construction supervision, but already at this stage also includes certain maintenance solutions. This is only possible if the customers are approached comprehensively. For this there is an integrated marketing activity or process, where already in the market research, customers are informed about a kit containing everything from design, through construction to maintenance of the facility. Successful application of this process requires appropriate hardware and software support, as well as trained personnel for marketing. In scientific terms, a new method of integrating marketing activities in the business process of project activities is proposed. In application terms, a business process organization model integrated with marketing is presented, which enables the project company to connect with the market more dynamically and efficiently.
