The strength and tensibility, elastic recovery ratio, evenness and hairiness of the pearl composite yarn were tested and compared with that of the same fineness pearl ring-spun yarn. It is concluded that the strength, elastic recovery and evenness of pearl composite yarn is superior to that of the ring- spun pearl yarn, thick spot or slub number per kilometer 1-8mm of hairiness index of pearl fiber composite yarn are lower than that of the pearl ring- spun yarn.

Pearl fiber is evenly mixed with ultra-fine pearl particles spinning solution of cellulose fibers, made of a blend of functional spinning of regenerated cellulose fiber. This new fiber material not only preserves the beauty of pearls skin function, but also cellulose fiber material with moisture breathable, soft and comfortable, and other features. In this paper, on the basis of understanding of pearls on the fiber properties, being blended with cotton, for pearl yarn fiber blends high technology design. According to the design of spinning yarn spinning process of high principle requires, selecting process, determining the opening and cleaning, carding, combing, drawing, roving, spinning the reasonable parameters of procedures. At the same time, the problems in the spinning process and technical measures to be described. Include optimizing the process configuration, temperature and humidity control, choose the appropriate spinning equipment. For the development of high functional pearl textiles, clothing to meet consumer comfort, functionality needs make a help.

This paper studied the metachrome process of an optimal dyeing method by comparing the color and fastness of walnut peel extract applied on the pearl fiber with ammonium ferrous sulfate as mordent. In addition, the paper also ascertained the reasonable dyeing process, that is, pH 9, walnut peel extract (the dye) dosage 200 ml/L, mordant (ammonium ferrous sulfate) 2.5 g/L, temperature 80 °C, time 60 min and liquor ratio 1:30, through analysis on single-factor experiments and orthogonal experiments by taking K/S as an evaluation index for the dyeing effect. The results showed that a better effect is achievable by dyeing the pearl fiber with walnut peel dye through the metachrome process.

This paper introduces the design of small jacquard plain weave imitating silk shirt fabric aiming at the characteristic of the pearl fiber. Pearl fiber and plush cotton fiber are chosen and blended. It’s weaving process is presented. The producing techniques were researched according to the characteristics of the fibers and yarns. A series of technology measures in process of producing were taken. So the weaving efficiency reaches 92%, and the finished woven fabric is artistic, moisture absorpting, smooth, cool and comfortable. It has a comparatively high strength, perfect elasticity and durable shape.

To better understand and perform of using pearl fiber characteristics, improve the development of targeted clothing, based on the fabric common performance such as comfort, wrinkle-free performance and safety in this article, to carry out the performance testing for 65/35 two-ply cotton / pearl plain jacquard imitating silk high-grade wrinkle-free fabric, in which mainly test the fabric moisture absorption, water vapor permeability, air permeability, anti-crease, security. Then concluded that the wrinkle-free performance of the 65/35 two-ply cotton / pearl plain jacquard imitating silk high-grade fabric is good, and the fabric has good wearability and value.
