On two mod p period maps: Ekedahl–Oort and fine Deligne–Lusztig stratifications

Consider a Shimura variety of Hodge type admitting a smooth integral model S at an odd prime $$p\ge 5$$ p ≥ 5 . Consider its perfectoid cover $$S^{\text {ad}}(p^\infty )$$ S ad ( p ∞ ) and the Hodge–Tate period map introduced by Caraiani and Scholze. We compare the pull-back to $$S^{\text {ad}}(p^\infty )$$ S ad ( p ∞ ) of the Ekedahl–Oort stratification on the mod p special fiber of a toroidal compactification of S and the pull back to $$S^\text {ad}(p^\infty )$$ S ad ( p ∞ ) of the fine Deligne–Lusztig stratification on the mod p special fiber of the flag variety which is the target of the Hodge–Tate period map. An application to the non-emptiness of Ekedhal–Oort strata is provided.

Корреляционные свойства символьных М-последовательностей в дивергентном декодировании

Широкое внедрение беспроводных технологий в различные аспекты современной жизни в том числе использование телеуправляемых устройств требует решения задачи повышения устойчивости канала управления в условиях разнообразных деструктивных воздействий. Данные воздействия могут иметь различную природу происхождения от объективно существующих изменений физических свойств среды передачи до преднамеренных антропогенных воздействий потенциального нарушителя. Поэтому в сложившихся условиях актуальной является задача разработки корректирующих кодов обеспечивающих высокую помехоустойчивость при низкой вычислительной сложности. Предпосылками к решению задачи по созданию таких кодов стала реализация в алгоритмах декодирования принципов оптимизационной теории помехоустойчивого кодирования. В настоящей статье проведен анализ свойств: баланса, серий, «зеркальности» одноименных единичных символов относительно mod p подпоследовательностей символьной М-последовательности с делимым приводимым полиномом, как дополнительных признаков обнаружения ошибок в алгоритмах дивергентного декодирования. Определены условия эффективного применения дивергентных корректирующих кодов на основе мягкой обработки сегментов символьной М-последовательности. Приведены функциональные схемы кодера, декодера и аппаратуры передачи данных, в которых реализуются принципы оптимизационной теории помехоустойчивого кодирования с низкой вычислительной сложностью. Использование свойств подпоследовательностей символьной М-последовательности с делимым приводимым полиномом как дополнительных признаков обнаружения ошибок достаточно для реализации алгоритма дивергенции с многопороговым декодированием. Предложенный в работе подход позволяет обеспечить заданную достоверность при изменении скорости передачи данных в условиях экстремально большого уровня шума в канале связи.

Complexity and randomness in the Heisenberg groups (and beyond)

By studying the commuting graphs of conjugacy classes of the sequence of Heisenberg groups $H_{2n+1}(p)$ and their limit $H_\infty(p)$ we find pseudo-random behavior (and the random graph in the limiting case). This makes a nice case study for transfer of information between finite and infinite objects. Some of this behavior transfers to the problem of understanding what makes understanding the character theory of the uni-upper-triangular group (mod p) “wild.” Our investigations in this paper may be seen as a meditation on the question: is randomness simple or is it complicated?

Diagrams in the mod p cohomology of Shimura curves

We prove a local–global compatibility result in the mod $p$ Langlands program for $\mathrm {GL}_2(\mathbf {Q}_{p^f})$ . Namely, given a global residual representation $\bar {r}$ appearing in the mod $p$ cohomology of a Shimura curve that is sufficiently generic at $p$ and satisfies a Taylor–Wiles hypothesis, we prove that the diagram occurring in the corresponding Hecke eigenspace of mod $p$ completed cohomology is determined by the restrictions of $\bar {r}$ to decomposition groups at $p$ . If these restrictions are moreover semisimple, we show that the $(\varphi ,\Gamma )$ -modules attached to this diagram by Breuil give, under Fontaine's equivalence, the tensor inductions of the duals of the restrictions of $\bar {r}$ to decomposition groups at $p$ .

Special Primes And Some Of Their Properties

In this paper, we present the definition, some properties, and solve a problem on special primes. These properties help in providing us with a better understanding of the problem posed related to special primes on the open problem garden website. The problem involves finding all the primes q, given a prime p such that q≡1(mod p) and 2^((q−1)/p)≡1(mod q). We prove that a prime number q is a special prime of p if and only if the order of 2 in U(q) divides q−1p. Also, we prove that a prime number q is not a special prime for any prime number if 2 is a generator of the group U(q) and that there exist infinitely many special primes for any given prime number.
