This paper reflects on the search for a lost, obscure piece of experimental architecture that appeared on the west coast of Scotland in the late 1960s. Encouraged by cultural geography’s efforts to recuperate storytelling as a valid mode of inquiry and to adopt a more enchanted, affirmative disposition to our endeavors, we develop a geographical story intended to draw out how enchanted experiences gained through curiosity and an openness to contingencies can serve as a vital force for sustaining geographical ways of being, doing and knowing with the world. This account focuses on our encounters with various research sites that we identify as ‘dreamlands’ to express the idiosyncratic, unregulated, unexpected sensations of wonder and delight that such places evoked, the excessive materialities they revealed and the imaginative processes they elicited. We argue that such dreamlands are not as superfluous as might be assumed by their uncanny absence from the polished end-products of scholarship, and instead, allude to the latent forces of enchantment to which geographers might become better attuned when conducting and crafting their research.

At the author’s self-authentication stage during the COVID-19 pandemic, looking at perspective of water in Jakarta that has been capitalized and controlled by the fresh water scarcity campaign. The perspective of water divided into fresh water and polluted water, that raises resident’s concerns about living in utilizing water. This makes the vital programs in large water reservoirs, such as Tomang Reservoir, that can be a place to properly empower the district, the integration between humans and water brings out the potential of this water. With the experimental architecture method and Bio-Integrated Design, spatial narrative in Tomang Reservoir presents space and visual that created by the water of Tomang Reservoir, and can provide benefits for humans and the environment, starts from the desire to save, accept, waiting, and start to realize moments, ideas, or new things to get to dwelling, so that the programs that formed can recover the environment and human’s survival. Not only to produce architectural buildings, but also non-architectural, and the result can be widely disseminated and trigger the enthusiasm for the residents in other places to process and utilize water. This project that redefining water can present a cultural element in responding to water between fresh water and polluted water, and the results can also be enjoyed by the wider community. This also answers the challenges of The Future of Dwelling itself.

Cynefin is a place where humans or animals feel they should live and belong. A place where humans and animals live side by side with each other. Humans have looked after and preserved nature and animals. Animals should live in the wild and not behind railings in zoo. The corona pandemic should be able to make people aware of the importance of nature in life. For months, humans have to be at home, this should realize us how important the environment is. At this time, technological advances have developed rapidly. Humans can learn about animals without put them in the cage. With the help of hollogram technology, humans can learn and play with animals closely and experience the natural environment they live in through visualization with the LCD wall. Moreover, the calm and green atmosphere that exists can help reduce the stress that results from the work pressure during the lockdown. The experimental architecture of the oasis phenomenon as a concept and an inspiration about a cool and calm place in the middle of the pandemic desert is expected to bring about change in the people perspective from the existing offices and zoos. The young generation is expected to be able to love and protect the environment in which they live, so that humans can live in harmony with nature.

Abstract: One of urban demography problem is the explosion of urban population due to the activity of migration and poverty, including structural poverty. One of the urban poos groups is the scavengers. This paper, have no intention at all to discuss regarding poverty problem, including scavengers from the perspective of economic solution, rather, will study from the perspective of experimental architecture. Mayeng scavengers become the object of case study, because rare for architecture to discuss about this lower class society. The assumption is architecture shoud play a role in the context of social, due to its intervention will influence and further change the face and features of the city. In relation to that, this paper have a purpose to analyse the need of housing for scavengers, also obtained solution of design optimally, even in the context of experimental architecture.  Keywords: poor society, structural poverty, mayeng scavenger, portable houseAbstrak: Salahsatu problema demografi perkotaan, adalah ledakan populasi penduduk akibat migrasi dan kemiskinan, termasuk kemiskinan struktural.
