Atuação da enfermagem em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva em face da síndrome pós-parada cardíaca: uma revisão integrativa da literatura.

Introdução: A Síndrome Pós-Parada Cardíaca (SPPC) caracteriza-se pela inflamação sistêmica, seguida de risco de falência de múltiplos órgãos, em decorrência do estresse oxidativo gerado após o período de isquemia. A enfermagem no manejo clínico da SPPC atua diretamente na identificação precoce e em condutas que resultem em circunstâncias de risco reduzido. Objetivo: Identificar, através da literatura, a atuação da Enfermagem intensivista frente aos sinais clínicos da SPPC. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa da literatura. Realizou-se a busca dos artigos por meio da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), na Base de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF), Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Medical Literature Review and Online Recovery System (MEDLINE). Resultados e Discussão: A enfermagem em UTI diante da SPPC, atua por intermédio de intervenções com o objetivo de alcançar a estabilização desse quadro clínico. Dessa forma, a educação continuada é uma ferramenta relevante na qualidade desse atendimento, pois faz-se necessário o conhecimento acerca do processo fisiopatológico e da adequada assistência. Conclusão: A atuação da enfermagem frente à SPPC e a destreza em seu manejo encontram limitações na deficiência de padronização e no estabelecimento de escores específicos para essa enfermidade e, o dimensionamento inadequado da equipe, colabora com a piora no prognóstico do paciente, pois um bom atendimento se baseia na tríade previsibilidade-assistência-equipe.

Workplace Support for Employees in Recovery From Opioid Use: Stakeholder Perspectives

The dual challenges of COVID-19 and the opioid epidemic have heightened the need of Maryland workplaces for accessible resources and supports. This paper describes efforts of the Workplace PROSPER (Partnering to Reduce Opioid Stigma and Support Employment in Recovery) project team to explore opioid-related state employment needs from Key Stakeholder perspectives. Discussion revealed significant overlap between the needs identified by stakeholders and pre-existing recovery friendly initiatives in other states. However, this convening identified the need for increased training of medical professionals in communicating about work capacity and safety as well as for resources to support family members of individuals with Opioid Use Disorder and model programs for hiring individuals in recovery. Next steps include the creation and dissemination of a survey to obtain a broader base of feedback and the development of a robust set of online recovery resources for Maryland employers and employees.

Dynamic Evolutionary Games and Coordination of Multiple Recycling Channels considering Online Recovery Platform

Nowadays, with a great number of household electrical appliances being discarded in every corner of the world every day, household electrical appliances recycling is attracting more attention. In this paper, we build a closed-loop supply chain that consists of a manufacturer and a third-party recycler based on the development of “Internet Plus” recovery platform. We thoroughly analyze the model and its evolution by chaos theory, complex dynamics theory, and numerical simulation and introduce the adaptive method to control the chaos of the system. We find that as the manufacturer increases the retail price, the stable area of the market becomes smaller. At the same time, when the manufacturers direct recycle price or the price adjustment range of the products recycled from the third party exceeds a certain threshold, all the recycle prices in the whole market will fluctuate, thus causing market chaos. Among them, as an adjustment decision method, delay strategy reduces the volatility of recycle price and makes it return to a stable state, which is an effective method to control system disorder. In addition, the third-party recycler will change the optimal subsidy model according to the government’s price subsidy level, while the manufacturer always prefers the price subsidy model.

With the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT), time series streams have become ubiquitous in our daily life. Recording such data is rarely a perfect process, as sensor failures frequently occur, yielding occasional blocks of data that go missing in multiple time series. These missing blocks do not only affect real-time monitoring but also compromise the quality of online data analyses. Effective streaming recovery (imputation) techniques either have a quadratic runtime complexity, which is infeasible for any moderately sized data, or cannot recover more than one time series at a time. In this paper, we introduce a new online recovery technique to recover multiple time series streams in linear time. Our recovery technique implements a novel incremental version of the Centroid Decomposition technique and reduces its complexity from quadratic to linear. Using this incremental technique, missing blocks are efficiently recovered in a continuous manner based on previous recoveries. We formally prove the correctness of our new incremental computation, which yields an accurate recovery. Our experimental results on real-world time series show that our recovery technique is, on average, 30% more accurate than the state of the art while being vastly more efficient.

Exploring the clinical profile of problematic pornography use

Background Although problematic pornography use (PPU) will soon be diagnosable through the International Classification for Diseases, 11th revision, its clinical profile remains contentious. The current study assessed whether PPU may be characterized by various symptoms sometimes observed among online recovery forums that currently lack empirical assessment, such as heightened cognitive-affective issues following pornography use and sexual dysfunction with partners as a result of escalating use. Method Cross-sectional surveys were completed by male PPUs (N = 138, mean age = 31.75 years, standard deviation = 10.72) recruited via online recovery communities and Amazon Mechanical Turk. Multiple regression analysis was performed using the Problematic Pornography Use Scale as the dependent variable and variables of interest (Arizona Sexual Experiences Scales modified for partnered sex and pornography use, Brunel Mood Scale, Social Interaction Anxiety Scale, and the Tolerance subscale from the Problematic Pornography Consumption Scale) and potential confounders (eg, comorbid psychopathology) as independent variables. Results Current levels of pornography use, indicators of tolerance and escalation, greater sexual functioning with pornography, and psychological distress were uniquely associated with PPU severity, while cognitive-affective issues after pornography use, impulsivity and compulsivity were not. Although sexual dysfunction did not predict PPU severity, nearly half the sample indicated sexual dysfunction with intimate partners. Conclusions The present findings suggest that PPU may be characterized by tolerance and escalation (as per substance addiction models), greater sexual responsivity toward pornography, and psychological distress. Meanwhile, the high rate of partnered sexual dysfunction observed suggests that PPU might be somewhat separable from other forms of compulsive sexual behavior.

Manajemen Backup Data untuk Penyelamatan Data Nasabah pada Sistem Informasi Perbankan (Studi Kasus : PT Bank XYZ)

Data sistem informasi online pada PT Bank XYZ merupakan database yang tersimpan pada web/email server bank yang dapat diakses secara online oleh pemakai. Beberapa faktor internal telah menjadi penyebab kerusakan server dan berakibat tidak beroperasinya sistem. Salah satu cara untuk menyelamatkan data dari kehilangan atau kerusakan adalah melalui manajemen backup data yang pelaksanaanya dijalankan secara teratur.
