This study aims to explore the investment behavior of female entrepreneurs as the new competitor in the investment field and to determine the underlying factors that influence their investment attitudes. A qualitative investigation approach was employed for the study that includes 18 in-depth exploratory interviews to ascertain the fundamental determinants of the investment behavior represented by female entrepreneurs, an emergent section in investment. The accumulated data was analyzed through manual coding procedures. The study revealed that female entrepreneurs are not inclined to take risk in their business for investment decisions, they are somewhat conservative and risk averse. This research also asserts that if they spend quality time and get better training about the nuances of different investment tools, so they will also take risks in investment activities. Two big cosmopolitan cities Karachi and Lahore in Pakistan were selected as sample for this study. Research in other countries considering the culture and ethnicity must be conducted to expand the scope of understanding the investment behaviors of female entrepreneurs. This study outcomes would help the investment manager to understand women’s psychology to develop significant portfolio recommendations, service providers to develop consultancy training centers, policy makers to mitigate their risk and maximize their return opportunities. Hence, intending to provide opportunities for gender equalities, this research appears to be the first in Pakistan to adopt the inductive approach in this domain.

Following the invention of the hormonal contraceptive pill in the mid-20th century, there has been a rise in exogenous hormone use worldwide. Across the lifespan, many women will utilize synthetic hormones in the form of hormonal contraceptives and/or hormone replacement therapy. It is estimated that 100 million women worldwide use combined oral contraceptives, whereas 20 million women worldwide use hormone replacement therapy. Although extensive research has been done investigating the health side effects of these synthetic hormones, relatively little is known about their potential cognitive and behavioral consequences. This chapter reviews knowledge regarding the potential impact of these synthetic hormones on women’s psychology. Much of this work derives from the field of evolutionary psychology, which considers potential adaptive functions of behavior and their underlying mechanisms. This chapter emphasizes the need for randomized within-subject clinical trials to better understand the true causal effects they may have on women’s behavior.

This chapter shows that feminists themselves have struggled with the obstacles created by the fitful and damaging politics of ignorance that help to sustain gender inequality. Whether unequal gender relations are merely natural, or whether men's identity depends on maintaining their dominant position as patriarch of the family by necessary force, or whether somehow women's psychology or childhood socialisation leads them to attract abusive men into their lives, or whether women need to learn how to manage their violent partner for the sake of the marriage, the children or their relationship with god are all questions that feminists have needed to work through. And, the chapter argues, this work must continue. The discursive effects of a politics of ignorance about violence against women have an impact on women as much as on men, and on our social and political understanding of violence as much as on social institutions and the state.
