A novel parallel current-sharing control method of switch power supply is proposed, on the basis of a detailed analysis of several common parallel current-sharing control methods and recent related patents. Only the current of switch power modules with maximum and minimum output current will be regulated, which is selected by the extreme current selection circuit in this method. Four cases with different extremum situation are discussed, and in each case, principles and equations are given. Finally the current-sharing control of switch power supply parallel system is realized. Experimental results show that the current-sharing method is reasonable and effective.

As parallel operation of several single inverter modules, the alternating voltage outputted by the single inverter module should guarantee same frequency, same phase and equiamplitude. Otherwise, circumfluence will be caused in the single inverter module. The circumfluence not ecreases output capacity of the system but destroy the inverter in serious condition. So, restraint circulation is the key technology of inverter modules in parallel control. Based on the analysis of inverter modules in parallel control, this paper designs the parallel current sharing system of multi-inverter modules with TMS320LF2407A as the main hip, adopts the control strategy of “direct current sharing”, and achieves the data communication in multi-modules allel connection as well as the effects of multi-inverter odules in parallel current sharing control with CAN controller embedded in TMS320LF2407A.

Taking into account the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and reliability of power supply, redundant parallel power supply controlled by microcontroller could be a good solution for us. This paper analyzes principles and traits of parallel current sharing structure. Then a design of redundancy parallel current sharing structure is introduced, which is based on integrated buck chip LM2678 and microcontroller MSP430. The design has good fault-tolerant ability, and its output voltage can be adjusted easily. The capability and feasibility of this design has been verified by the simulation and experiment.
