RESEARCH OF THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS OF FUTURE PROFESSIONALS

Problem statement. Freelance teachers are often faced with the fact that students who study in a particular specialty for four or six years, after graduation go to work in another specialty or master another profession. This situation, or rather the problem of so-called "staff turnover", is especially characteristic of technical specialties. And it does not matter whether the student is studying under a contract, whether he occupies a state budget place, whether the student is successful in his studies, or belongs to those who are constantly absent from class and have academic debts. In our opinion, the study of the causes of such issues, which is characteristic of the Free Economic Zone in Ukraine, is an important and insufficiently studied task from a theoretical and practical point of view. A large amount of scientific psychological and pedagogical research is devoted to the study of motives for choosing a specialty and future profession, the topic of motivation of modern youth in general, the study of professional interests of high school students, experimental research on career guidance. But there is very little theoretical and practical work aimed at studying the reasons for choosing a profession that does not correspond to the educational specialty. Purpose of the article is to analyze the problem of studying the professional expectations of students, as well as to investigate the psychological characteristics of young people as a subject of study and the factors influencing young people's choice of specialty and future profession in the process of their education in Institutions of higher education (IHE). Conclusions. Analyzed: psychological features of students as subjects of study; the meaningful nature of students' choice of their professional path; factors influencing young people's choice of specialty and future profession; psychological features of successful mastering of knowledge during training in IHE; psychological components of the student's cognitive activity - motives, interest, attention, memory, volitional and emotional processes; problems of professional career realization as an element of self-realization and human self-development; components of emotional and evaluative attitude of students to the future profession; functions that fulfill professional expectations in the life of the individual; signs of the content of professional expectations.

What Is the Role of Pharmacists in Treating COVID-19 Patients? The Experiences and Expectations of Front Line Medical Staff

Aims: The study aimed to understand the role and the core values of pharmacists and the professional expectations of medical staff for pharmacists in treating COVID-19 patients from the perspectives of the frontline medical staff. The findings help to understand and provide a reference for the career growth path of future pharmacists.Methods: A phenomenological method was used to conduct in-depth interviews with frontline medical staff working in isolation wards during COVID-19. The interview data were analyzed, and the themes were extracted.Results: Pharmacists played a positive role in ensuring the supply of non-routinely stocked drugs, including traditional Chinese medicine preventative preparations, providing drug information and medication consultation for complex patients, and identifying adverse drug reactions. However, at present, the integration of pharmacists and nurses is poor with inadequate communication, and the pharmaceutical care activities provided to physicians were still not comprehensive.Conclusions: The level of pharmaceutical care provided by pharmacists needs to be further strengthened. Frontline medical teams generally have high professional expectations for pharmacists, including expecting pharmacists to become drug therapy experts. They expect pharmacists to fully participate in clinical decision-making, especially playing a central role in managing drug interactions, contraindications, and other clinical uses of drugs.

“Help me to take care”: Professional expectations about using an application in heart failure

Objective: To understand the expectations of the professionals about the construction and use of an educational and follow-up application to care.Methods: Phenomenological and qualitative study. Convenience and purposive sampling were carried out and in-depth individual interviews with 35 professionals from the multidisciplinary team, between September and October 2020 in Brazil. All interviews were audio-recorded and data analyzed using the hermeneutic circle. The COREQ checklist was employed to report on the current study.Results: Two main units of meaning emerged: (a) The care of the person who lives with heart failure; and (b) The care of the person with heart failure intermediated by an application. Care for the person with the disease brings together elements related to the identification of demands and understanding of their surroundings, with guidance and use of technologies.Conclusions: The professionals were favorable to the development of an application and considered it beneficial. The use of it, would allow the approximation between patients and their family and the multidisciplinary team; respect the patient’s needs and overcome the precariousness of the health system.

Professional expectations of medical university graduates in solving the issues of health care system staffing

Introduction. At present, in most regions of the Russian Federation there is a shortage of medical personnel in the public health system. The issue is particularly acute in medical organizations providing primary health care, as well as in municipal districts remote from the regional center. The purpose of the paper is to examine the professional expectations and intentions of medical university students. Materials and methods. The method of questioning was applied in the study. Questionnaires were taken by 296 students of the fifth year of the specialties «Medicine» and «Pediatrics», studying on the budget and commercial forms of education.Results. Only 22% of respondents considered primary care as a place of work. Large cities are chosen for work by 90% of respondents, and 42% of them would like to leave their home region and find a job in economically more attractive regions. Only 6% of respondents are ready to go to the countryside, and 4% of respondents are interested in ambulance service. Approximately evenly distributed were opinions on work in public and private health care system, respectively, 54% and 56% of respondents. At the stage of graduation, 16.6% of the students were disappointed in their chosen profession, another 22.3% found it difficult to answer, and 5.7% do not plan to stay in healthcare after graduation. Discussion. The main reasons for this situation are salaries that do not meet the needs of graduates, especially at the start of their professional career, the social unsettlement of young doctors, mainly in small towns and rural areas, and insufficient practical training. Conclusion. The solution to the problem lies in the sphere of socio-economic provision of living conditions and stimulation of quality training of specialists, taking into account professional orientation.

Professional Perspectives of the Management Course Students – Class of 2015 of the Vale do Acaraú University – UVA/IDJ

This article aims to analyze the premises, perspectives and professional expectations of students who enter the Administration course. For this purpose, the following specific objectives were listed: characterize the public investigated as to some social and economic aspects; identify the main justifications that influenced the choice of the course of Administration and analyze the perspectives and expectations regarding the choice of the same. The study was characterized from two aspects, as well as the ends and the means. According to the ends, the research will be descriptive and as to the means, the research will be bibliographical, field. The study is indicating as basic, descriptive, with a quantitative approach, it ran from January 2018 to December of the same year. Field research took place in November 2018 and was conducted with 10 university students of the administration course, who are attending the 8th semester. For the data collection, a structured questionnaire was used with closed questions, based on the Lickert scale, later on the tabulation of the data. In the analysis, it was noticed how much the course of administration has been growing in the country, as well as the multiple interests that correlate to the choice of administration course, as well as wage pretension, development of the entrepreneurial career and the importance of the course for local development. The work values and professional expectations of the second cohort of Generation Z

Introduction: The people born since the year 2000 (Generation Z) are now dynamically entering the labour market. This presents a range of challenges for employers, such as how to make their workplace attractive to young employees, how to entice talent and above all, how to retain it for longer. The aim of the following work was to identify the primary work values and professional expectations of representatives from Generation Z. Method: The study included 236 final-year students (129 girls and 107 boys) from vocational and comprehensive schools. The most highly-rated work values were identified using the “Moja Kariera” (My Career) questionnaire by Schein (adapted by Paszkowska-Rogacz) together with a free interview, providing a deeper insight into the work values and professional expectations of the group. Results: The predominant values expressed by the study group were associated with security and stability, as well as lifestyle; however, the main expectations regarding the employer comprised a high salary, clear working conditions and clearly-defined professional responsibilities. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that the members of Generation Z regard an attractive employer as one whose organisation cares about work-life balance, ensures secure employment, based on a contract of employment (e.g. on a permanent basis) and stable (constant) earnings.

APPLICATION OF MULTI-DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS METHODS TO ASSESS SOCIAL EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS IN PRIMORSKY KRAI

The article deals with the results of the study of the structure and mechanisms of the formation of social expectations of the student youth of Primorsky Krai. The study is based on data from monitoring students ‘ opinions using two online questionnaire forms. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the dependence of students ‘ motivation to study and professional expectations. The most important factor influencing labor motivation is the demand for innovative knowledge in the labor market of the region.
