On the MapX ActiveX environment, an embedded Beidou satellite navigation system is established. This system is developed under the visual programming development environment (C#2008), achieved satellite signal receiving. The positioning information receiving and displaying is realized by a Beidou navigation module and communicated with the computer via the serial port COM component.

Requirements on encryption of web-based examination system were analyze, and different encryption technologies were used to meet the needs on three levels, including important data, core processing logic and some restricted functions. For important data, its confidentiality and integrity were realized. The core processing logic in ASP script was built in COM component. And some restricted functions were protected with hardware key. Encryption which protected data, code and function provided necessary safety for the web-based examination system.

Record machining tasks and machine status automatically based on one development kit for CNC system. A custom control is developed based on COM component technology to view recorded machining tasks and machine status on the CNC screen real-time. The function of data acquisition implemented by this article, can not only provide the basic data for the MES system, but also facilitate the operators to view the machining tasks and machine status.

As a non-contract optical measurement method in solid mechanics, the digital speckle correlation method (DSCM) has already been recognized as an excellent method for determining the surface deformation field in materials because of its outstanding features. In-plane displacement fields at the surface of objects under load are abstracted by using this method in this paper. And the corresponding maps of displacement fields are drawn to show deformation. The basic principle and mathematical model of gradient-based subpixel registration are briefly introduced for measuring subpixel displacement. COM component of this method is generated by using matlab7.1 through images of laser speckles. The COM component is called by Visual C++6.0 and the stand-alone application is generated. It is becoming easier to deal with image in Visual C++ by using this method. Then more time and energy will be spent on the algorithm. The development cycle of the algorithm is speeded up and efficiency of the application is improved.

In view of the characteristics of threaded binary tree and visualization of the problem,,it is realized the visualization of binary tree by using object-oriented method and the features of complete binary tree, and then achieved the visualization of threaded binary tree by using the COM component technology and the Bezier curve. This makes the tree related operations more intuitive, nice interactive performance, real-time.

In this paper, a time-frequency analytic system is implemented by using mixed programming of Matlab and Delphi languages based on COM (Component Object Model)module technology. Matlab possesses many signal analytic functions and Delphi has a friendly visual programming environment. These two advantages are fully combined in the mixed programming. This system can be easily upgraded to expand new analytic functions with help of COM module technology. Fault diagnosis of a grinding machine is carried out by using this system. A same vibrational signal sampled from the machine is analyzed in turn by three methods in this system that are Fast Fourier Transform(FFT), Wigner-Ville Distribution(WVD) and Choi-Williams Distribution(CWD). Comparing with the three results, it shows that CWD can get best diagnostic information and validity of the estimation on the instantaneous frequency of a signal. Success of the mixed programming is presented meantime.
