Abstract This paper argues for pragmatism rather than linguistic purity in orthography design for endangered Indigenous languages such as Blackfoot, emphasizing the need to see orthography standardization as a dynamic process rather than a static result. It explores the ongoing lack of community agreement about the best way to write the Blackfoot language and lack of widespread proficiency in the use of its standard orthography, and then describes ways in which this is mitigated in the Blackfoot Language Resources and Digital Dictionary project, a suite of web resources created to support language maintenance and revitalization work. The website uses a combination of relaxed searches, alternative spelling fields, and multimedia content to increase accessibility of the resources for users lacking proficiency in the standard orthography.

Economists typically model a plant's productivity as an exogenous characteristic, but the people who run and work at manufacturing plants make choices, at a cost, that affect plant productivity. I develop a method to partially identify the productivity distribution when such choices determine productivity. The method uses a monotone comparative static result I prove in a general economic model. It does not require instruments or timing assumptions. I use the method to study the effect of implementing market-based pricing on productivity in the electricity generation industry.

We study path-independent choice rules applied to a matching context. We use a classic representation of these choice rules to introduce a powerful technique for matching theory. Using this technique, we provide a deferred acceptance algorithm for many-to-many matching markets with contracts and study its properties. Next, we obtain a compelling comparative static result: if one agent's choice expands, the remaining agents on her side of the market are made worse off, while agents on the other side of the market are made better off. Finally, we establish several results related to path-independent choice rules. (JEL C78, D11, D71, D86)

tower consisted of steel tubes and angel steels has equal advantages which steel tube tower has and not easy to happen some bar breeze vibration, but but the wind vibration response for such transmission tower structure research is less. In the engineering background of a tower consisted of steel tubes and angel steels , set up the finite element model for transmission towers. Using Kaimal spectrum for numerical simulation of wind velocity time history. Of 90 ° Angle of wind direction wind to dynamic response are analyzed, the results show that for the displacement, the maximum of dynamic analysis results 88% larger than the result of the average wind, 53.7% larger than standard wind load static result; For axial force, the maximum of dynamic analysis results 147% larger than average the result of the wind, 108% larger than standard wind load static result. So in view of the transmission tower structure dynamic response analysis should be more precise.
