In this essay, we point out the quantum mechanical aspect in Bayesian Optimization: one might interpret Bayesian optimization as a process of computation in quantum mechanics, especially that of the molecular orbital method. We demonstrate that the optimization of the molecular structure and the refinement of the basis set is the process of Bayesian optimization, in which one should try to find better sampling points. The Bayesian optimization based upon the Gaussian process would be substituted by the molecular orbital computation by means of atomic orbitals of Gaussian functions. In addition, we propose a trick which would act as a sort of acquisition function. We give some examples in the polynomial optimization.

From the time of Aristotle onward, there have been countless books written on the topic of movement in animals and humans. However, research of human motion, especially walking mechanisms, has increased over the last fifty years. The study of human body movement and its stability during locomotion involves both neuronal and mechanical aspect. The mechanical aspect, which is in the scope of this thesis, requires knowledge in the field of biomechanics. Walking is the most common maneuver of displacement for humans and it is performed by a stable dynamic motion. In this article it is introduced the bases of the human walking in biomechanical terms. Furthermore, two stability descriptive parameters during walking are also explained - Center of Pressure (CoP) and Zero-Moment Pint (ZMP).

This paper is devoted to the initiation of fatigue crack in Armco iron from low cycle fatigue to gigacycle fatigue. It is shown that the basic mechanisms of initiation are very similar from a physical point of view: PSB and Grain boundary cracking. But the mechanical aspect is specific in LCF and in GCF.

This paper elaborate a design of a new small simple 6-axis robot arm. The design not only can verify the 6-axis motion algorithm, but also have a better property of the economy and the easy-handing. In the mechanical aspect, using the connection method of the single aluminum plate reduce the load effectively. In the control aspect, using stepper motor driven system reduce the cost. This design has a high application value in the process of mechanical arm development.
