<p><em>This article is motivated by the phenomenon of contemporary students in the era of globalization who are starting to leave the Indonesian character. Higher education institutions that print the nation's future assets are required to move with character education. Character education teaches how to think and behave so that they become useful individuals in society and contribute as good citizens. Character education has religious values, nationalism, integrity, independence and mutual cooperation. Character education must continue to be strong in a sustainable, sustainable and balanced manner in order to produce students with character, independence and integrity.</em></p>

This study aims to (1) find out and describe the implementation of character independence education for children with visual impairments in the Ponorogo Regency Aisyiah Integrated Blind Home, (2) to create a pattern of character education of children with special needs visually impaired in the Ponorogo Regency Aisyiah Integrated Blind Home. This study uses a qualitative method with a groundet theory approach. The research was carried out at the Aisyiyah Ponorogo Integrated Blind Orphanage with informants, namely the head of the orphanage, the board of education and blind children. Procedure for collecting data using interview procedures, observation and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data collection, data reduction, data display, verification and confirmation of conclusions. The results of the research obtained from this study are: (1) The implementation of character independence education at the Aisyiyah Ponorogo Integrated Blind Orphanage has been well implemented, in accordance with the four characteristics of independence. (2) The character education pattern of independence of children with khusust needs unanetra in the Aisyiyah Ponorogo Integrated Blind Orphanage is divided into four, namely: a) Initial assessment is carried out in the form of recording the identity of foster children and their families; b) OMD (basic mobility orientation) in the form of daily activities training c) Exploring talent to train and develop talents possessed by foster children and; d) OML (Advanced mobility orientation) activities related to activities carried out in the community.

Character education is an important thing that should be grown in early childhood, one of which is about independence. Early childhood is the period that became the basis of character formation and personality of children. So it will be very important if the independence has begun to grow early on. One way to cultivate self-reliance in early childhood can be d one by playing. Playing has a very important meaning for the child because every child has a drive to play and is a necessity for a child. By playing, the independence aspect will be gained from how the children solve a challenge without having to depend on others. Playing method used is by using the media puzzle. Media puzzle is a child's game media that will improve children's cognitive and will help children develop the ability of independence in solving problems. The research method used is literature study which is a survey and discussion of literature in certain field of a research. This study is a brief overview of what has been learned, argued, and defined about a topic, and is usually organized chronologically or thematically.   Keyword : character, independence, early childhood, puzzle.

Education conditions in each country is different. This could be due to differences in ethnicity, language and culture. Therefore, it is necessary education that can accept such differences through multicultural education. Multicultural education in Indonesia itself has been discourse by education experts has long since. One of those educational figures is our National Father’s Education Ki Hadjar Dewantara, who has made concepts and thoughts about multicultural education. He is an expert in the world of education and many educational concepts in Indonesia today is referring to his thoughts. The pattern of educational thought is nationalist and universal. Nationalistic, because education based on the principle of national culture, while universal is education that can be accepted and enjoyed of every human, class, race, ethnic, nation, religion and culture. So from his thoughts are focused on the teachings of character, independence, humanity and culture of the nation (multicultural).

Character independence is an important assumption in parsimony-based phylogenetic analysis. For taxa with extant representatives, the analysis of within-species covariation of quantitative characters provides a basis for assessing character independence. One promising approach is to use mean species scores on factors of within-species covariation as phylogenetic characters, but the use of common morphometric factor models leads to problems with either the independence or the interpretability of such characters. Principal components and principal factors, whether rotated or not, may be constrained to be orthogonal but may be difficult to interpret since the effects of each factor are spread over all variables. In Wright-style factor analysis the restriction of secondary factors to subsets of variables facilitates their interpretation, but the factors may be highly correlated. An alternative approach is to adopt a hierarchical factor model in which correlated first-order factors are restricted to subsets of the variables. Size is modelled as a second-order factor inducing correlation of the primary factors, in contrast to the common morphometric procedure of attempting to partial out size in the first stage of analysis. The size-independent components of the primary factors provide shape characters which are interpretable as the deviations of regional growth from their predictions based on size. Hierarchical factor models have been widely used in psychometric studies since their introduction by Thurstone in the 1930's, but have been little used in morphometric analyses. The hierarchical model is applied to the covariances of interlandmark trusses measured on skulls of extant canids using a video-based stereophotogrammetric system. Preliminary results indicate that the canid skull may be partitioned into discrete regions of relatively independent local growth.

In the article below, we consider sets of non-random functions of time t admitting certain asymptotic distributions. Purely temporal and deterministic considerations lead us to associate to a set , say, of functions H(t) of this type, a space Ω of samples ω.To each function H(t) ⊂ , there corresponds a random variable h (ω). To the set of translated functions H(t + λ) of a function H(t) ⊂ , there corresponds a stationary random function of the translation parameter λ, say, h(λ, ω). We study the transposition to the set of non-random functions H(t) of such properties as moments, gaussian character, independence, harmonic analysis, and others, of the random variables h (ω) and of the random functions h (λ, ω).Some remarks are made concerning the links between ergodicity and the above problems.
