The technical difficulty of antifollower jamming in communication systems is a wide concern in the peer. In order to solve the problem of difficulty to achieve antifollower jamming, a new identification method of follower jamming is proposed in this paper based on the characteristics of it and then follower jamming is cancelled out. A hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform is built by using FPGA. Then, experimental verification for mitigating performance of follower jamming is conducted based on the platform and the proposed method. Results show that signal-interference ratio (SIR) promotion is different for different jamming frequencies and the jamming mitigation performance is affected by interference intensity. The average SIR promotion can reach 10 dB when variance of jamming signal is between 0.75 and 1.5. In other cases, average SIR promotion is less than 10 dB. The proposed suppression method provides a useful way to antifollower jamming in frequency hopping (FH) communication.

In this paper, Firstly, the follower jamming and the jamming ellipse are introduced; After studying the jamming ellipse and combining the mathematical model of FH signal, the mathematical model of follower jamming is built; the performance of FH communication under the follower jamming is analyzed; Finally, the anti-jamming measures of follower jamming are proposed, In the future research, these can supply the foundation for the feature extraction of the follower jamming identification.

Aiming at the problem of poor performance of suppressing the wide band jamming and fast following jamming in Frequency-Hopping (FH) communication system, a communication scheme by combination of the complementally transformed minimum variance with FH technique for arbitrary array (CTMV-FH) is proposed, based on the purpose to maximize the output Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio (SINR). Basic theory of CTMV is introduced. The algorithm is used to suppress the wide band jamming and fast following jamming. Simulation results show that the scheme can suppress the wide band jamming and fast following jamming effectively in FH communication system.

The frequency hopping (FH) communication is one of the anti-interference effective means in military wireless communication, the FH number and FH rate of FH radio are the main parameters that determines the performance of the FH radio, these parameters are determined by the structure and the index of the frequency synthesizer, therefore the performance of the FH radio depends very much on the frequency synthesizer, this paper introduces the basic principle of FH radio, the basic methods of frequency synthesizer in the radio, the design scheme frequency synthesizer, and the DDS CMOS chip and the PLL CMOS chip that those used in scheme.
