Here we report spin-alignment contributions to muon coordinate calculated utilizing density functional theory (DFT) calculation. We estimated four different antiferromagnetic (AF) spin alignments in La2CuO4. We observed small changes by adjusting spin configurations in DFT calculations. Cu-spin value of 0.61 µB is constant in all calculations. The insulating gap of 1.9 eV is unchanged in all configurations. Muon coordinate was defined as the most minimum energy in atomic potential distribution. By assuming that Cu-spin is a point dipole for each atom, internal fields for muon were calculated and compared to known experimental results.

We show a new approach to provide anaysis functions of the muon-spin depolarization in order to describe the intermediate state between Gaussian and Lorentzian behavior. The Kubo Golden Rule (KGR) formula was used to mix the Gaussian and Lorentzian probability density functions. The result confirmed that the KGR formula can analytically explain the intermediate states. The current study suggests a new approach to investigate the so-called pseudogap state of high-Tc superconducting oxides.

μSR is one of the experimental techniques used to search for manifestations of the broken [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] symmetries predicted by some theories of highly correlated electron systems. When [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are broken, the screening of the positively charged muon by the electron system generates a magnetic field in addition to any intrinsic magnetic field that may be present. We estimate the magnetic field that is induced at a muon site when the muon is screened by the fractional statistics gas. The value depends on the distance between the muon and the anyon plane, and a simple theoretical approach to the calculation of the minimum energy muon sites is outlined and some results for Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O 8 and YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7 are presented.
