The article examines the life and research activities of Hegumen Andronik (Trubachev). Hegumen Andronik was a member of the Liturgical Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church and served as the abbot of the Valaam Monastery of Savior Transfiguration, participated in the publication of the Priest’s Handbook, Orthodox Encyclopedia, and other projects. Hegumen Andronik authored many liturgical texts and articles dedicated to Russian Saints (Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, Venerable Paphnutius of Borovsk, Venerable Ambrose of Optina, etc.). However, his most significant contribution was made to the study of Russian philosophy. The main work of Hegumen Andronik was analysis and preparation for publication of materials from Pavel Florensky’s archives. The article describes important points in the biography of Hegumen Andronik and the difficulties he overcame in his major activities. Hegumen Andronik did not only “re-discover” Florensky for Russian philosophy and theology but also proposed and substantiated the position according to which the works of the priest can be adequately understood. He substantiated that Florensky’s legacy is a part of the corpus of Christian philosophy, Christian science, and Christian art. In the opinion of Hegumen Andronik, this unique heritage can provide material for the development of theology, but in itself it is not theology. It becomes obvious that Florensky’s works are also of interest in other areas of human knowledge, since methodologically they go back to the ideas of “integral knowledge” and “theurgy,” according to which all areas of knowledge and human activity do not mix or lose their specificity but are synthesized in a common relationship with religion and worship.

The current paper describes and quantifies the presence of total alkaloids, total phenolics, flavonoids and tannins in samples of Agave shrevei leaves, a plant traditionally used to produce distilled beverages in Durango, Chihuahua and Sonora, Mexico, as a part of a project on the integral knowledge of Agave that allows the development of strategies for the use and conservation of these plant resources. Quantifications of alkaloids, total phenolics, flavonoids and tannins were carried out by spectroscopic methods, and the phenolic profile was obtained from HPLC-DAD. The phytochemical information generated revealed the pharmacological and nutritional potential use of A. shrevei.

The Ratio of rational and irrational in human activity is an urgent problem, including for modern methods of modeling society. The traditional understanding of the theoretical positions of one of the founders of Modern European philosophy, R. Descartes, as classical rationalism, became the subject of discussion in the XX century. Considering the main ideas of R. Descartes from the position of understanding his creative process in the spirit of the ideas of integral knowledge of the philosophy of all-unity-allows an organic connection in any creative thinking, conceptual-verbal, aesthetic-figurative and axiological-normative moments, the synthesis of rational and irrational components through a common dialectical organization of thinking.

This article is a review of the book Literature and Religious-Philosophical Thought of the Late 19th - First Third of the 20th Century. To the 165th anniversary of V.S. Solovyov (Book 2. E.A. Takho-Godi (Ed.). Moscow: Vodoley; 2018) published with the support of A.F. Losev house-museum and the journal Solovyov Studies . The authors analyze the philosophical theories of the key Russian thinkers of the Silver Age, primarily the symbolists, which focus on such issues as the fate of the Russian society, the place of man in the world, cultural values, social aspects of religion, life-creation, and aesthetic understanding of social-cultural reality. The review shows the inner logic of the book based on the alternation of philosophical and literary approaches, and its main line - from personalities (V.S. Solovyov, V.F. Ern, D.S. Merezhkovsky, F.M. Dostoevsky, M.N. Katkov) and their contribution to the national philosophy and culture to the trends of the era of historical and ideological changes. The interdisciplinary approach of the book is the result of the joint work of scientific schools and generations of researchers from different countries. The books methodology is based on the integrative approach of social aesthetics - the tool of philosophy of integral knowledge and unity, which can be applied to the field of social knowledge.

As recommended by the Education Blueprint 2014-2020, education system in Bhutan transformed from traditional instructions to technology-enriched and enabled teaching and learning environment with adoption of emerging and relevant technology to produce the globally competent learners. The integration of educational technology in the teaching and learning of definite integral creates a conceptually rich learning environment. From this perspective, this study aims to ascertain the effectiveness of a computer-assisted instruction method using GeoGebra in developing the conceptual understanding of definite integral for grade 12 students. This study employed a quasi-experiment static-group comparison design with 60 students from Gongzim Ugyen Dorji Central School in Haa. The students were divided into two equal groups. Group ‘A’ used the GeoGebra software, while group ‘B’ used the conventional method to learn definite integral. The data were collected through Definite Integral Knowledge Test. An Independent sample t-test was employed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS 22.0). Findings of the study showed that students who were taught using GeoGebra outperformed those who learned through conventional methods. The results confirmed that GeoGebra software is capable of enhancing and significantly improving students’ conceptual understanding of definite integral.
