ABSTRACTSmart Lamp product is a street lighting product which developed by PT X with LED lights concept. The design of Smart Light product is found to be slightly violate the terms of good design to the assembly process proposed by Boothroyd-Dewhurst as there is a component with sharp side, too much for using fastener, difficult fastener installation because the component is blocked and so forth. Existing design efficiency of Smart Light product is based on a calculation using the Boothroyd-Dewhurst table is 7.63% with total assembly time for 1149.1 seconds while the proposed design efficiency is 15.52% with total assembly time is 539.84 seconds. The changes of the design result reduction of the estimated product cost from Rp1.831.721, - and the BEP in 1482 products on existing product to Rp1.732.609, - and the BEP in 1283 products on proposed product.Kata kunci: design efficiency, assembly time, estimated cost, break event point (BEP).ABSTRAKProduk Smart Light adalah merupakan sebuah produk lampu penerangan jalan yang dikembangkan oleh PT X dengan konsep lampu LED. Rancangan produk Smart Light ini ternyata tidak sedikit melanggar ketentuan-ketentuan perancangan yang baik untuk proses perakitan yang dikemukakan oleh Boothroyd-Dewhurst seperti terdapat komponen yang memiliki bagian yang tajam, penggunaan fastener yang terlalu banyak, pemasangan fastener yang sulit karena komponen terhalang dan sebagainya. Efisiensi desain existing produk Smart Light ini berdasarkan pada perhitungan menggunakan tabel Boothroyd-Dewhurst adalah 7,63% dengan waktu perakitan total selama 1149,1 detik sedangkan efisiensi desain usulan adalah 15,52% dengan waktu perakitan total selama 539,84 detik. Perubahan rancangan desain mengakibatkan pengurangan pada estimasi biaya produk dari Rp1.831.721,- dan break event point (BEP) pada produk ke 1482 untuk produk existing menjadi Rp1.732.609,- dan BEP pada produk ke 1283 untuk produk usulan..Keywords: efisiensi desain, waktu perakitan, estimasi biaya, break event point

Retailers use price promotion of light and regular products, but not all of these products are perceived as relative virtues and vices, respectively. This paper aims to identify whether consumers distinguish between the two product categories. Survey data is used to distinguish between each product category, and identifies low-fat milk as a light product that gives both immediate and delayed rewards. Daily scanner data from a hypermarket supports the effects of price promotions on sales within and between product categories, as expected. We expect that, (1) due to these light products representing more enduring involvement, demand is less price sensitive compared to demand for regular products; (2) as nonimpulse purchase products, price promotions of light products cannibalize the sales of other light products; and (3) the loss of light product benefits associated with switching means that price promotions of light products hurt regular product sales more than vice versa.

Peter Sloterdijk’s Der Ästhetische Imperativ – Schriften zur Kunst is a collection of essays addressing a range of topics in the aesthetic realm, including sound, light, product design, cities and architecture, the human (artificial) condition, museums, action cinema and the art system. Via a ‘media’-anthropological, historico-philosophical approach, he critiques the ‘aesthetic imperative’ of (post-)modern design civilizations by re-evaluating the analogy between universal ethics and aesthetics after Kant. In this way, Sloterdijk argues for a more singular, intensive, socially and environmentally responsible aesthetic experience.

The paper analyses problems of a lead-zinc ore from Yunnan with a sink and float test. In the paper, we explored the possibility of pre-discarding about the ore by dense-media process. Dense liquids with the specific gravity of 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8 were used in the test, respectively. -12mm crudes were taken into the test. Finally, it revealed that pre-discarding by dense-media separation can be used in the ore. 2.7 was taken as the best specific gravity of separation. 12~1mm was used as the optimal fraction of pre-discarding by dense-media separation. Pre-discarding rate was 45.53%. The light product with a lead grade of 0.29% and a lead recovery of 4.29% was pre-discarded in which the grade and recovery of zinc were 0.22 and 5.84, respectively.
