The KLOE-2 Collaboration succesfully ended its data-taking collecting a total integrated luminosity of 5.5 fb−1 at the peak of the φ(1020) resonance at the DAΦNE collider of the Frascati LNF. New detectors have been added to the KLOE apparatus to improve the detector acceptance, the tracking capability, and also to be able to tag the scattered electrons in γγ processes. By summing the new data sample to the old one of the previous KLOE data-taking ended in 2006, a total of about 8 fb−1 has been collected, corresponding to 24 billions of φ produced. The measurement program of KLOE-2 includes precision studies on kaon and other light mesons, hadronic cross-section, and dark force searches.

Large data amount, about 1 ab−1 of integrated luminosity, collected in experiments with the Belle detector provided a good possibilities for precise measurements of the hadronic cross sections in e+e− annihilation. Main results obtained in this field with the Belle detector as well as perspectives of the new experiments with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB collider is discussed in this report.

A brief review of the recent results on the hadronic cross section measurements with the CMD-3 detector at the e+e− collider VEPP-2000 is given. Focus is made on the processes with charged kaons in multihadron events, which have a strong impact on strange meson spectroscopy and form factors that are important ingredients in the Dalitz plot analysis. Experimental data relevant to the topic are presented from the broad energy range covered by VEPP-2000 and compared to earlier measurements by the different collaborations. The analysis is based on the integrated luminosity of about 100 pb−1 collected in 2011, 2012 and 2017.

At the end of 2016 the SND detector resumed data taking at the upgraded VEPP-2000 e+e− collider. The analysis of data accumulated in 2010-2013 with an integrated lumonosity of 70 pb−1 is continuing. Recent results on measurements of various hadronic cross sections are presented.

The KLOE experiment at the ϕ-factory DAΦNE in Frascati is the first to have employed Initial State Radiation (ISR) to precisely determine the e+e− → π+π−(γ) cross section below 1 GeV. Such a measurement is particularly important to test the Standard Model (SM) calculation for the (g – 2) of the muon, where a long standing 3σ discrepancy is observed. I will review the ISR activity in KLOE in the last 20 years from the measurement of the hadronic cross section to the first direct determination of the time-like complex running α(s) in the region below 1 GeV.
