Asymptote in prospective mathematics teachers’ graphing praxeologiesAsymptote dans les praxéologies graphiques des futurs professeurs de mathématiques

Graphical representation is one of the fundamental and widely spread representations. We performed a comprehensive research of the didactic transposition of asymptote and asymptotic behaviour in the upper secondary education in Croatia, within the framework of the anthropological theory of the didactics. Our study included textbook analysis, questionnaires with university students and interviews with two mathematicians. In this poster, we present a part of our research with an emphasis on university students’ graphing praxeologies. Results showed that students’ graphing praxeologies differ from scholarly praxeologies. Further, students grounded their praxeologies mostly on their high-school graphing knowledge, even after being exposed to advanced mathematics that could foster their autonomous thinking.Keywords: Prospective mathematics teachers, Function graph, Asymptotes and asymptotic behaviour.RésuméLa représentation graphique est l'une des représentations fondamentales et largement répandues. Nous avons effectué une recherche approfondie de la transposition didactique de l'asymptote et du comportement asymptotique dans l'enseignement secondaire supérieur en Croatie, dans le cadre de la théorie anthropologique du didactique. Notre étude comprenait une analyse de livres scolaires, des questionnaires avec des étudiants de l’universités et un entretien avec deux mathématiciens. Dans cette affiche, nous présenterons une partie de notre recherche en mettant l'accent sur les praxéologies graphiques des étudiants de l’université. Les résultats montrent que les praxéologies graphiques des élèves diffèrent des praxéologies académiques. En outre, les élèves ont fondé leurs praxéologies principalement sur leur connaissance graphique de lycée, même après avoir été exposés à des mathématiques avancées qui pourraient favoriser leur réflexion autonome.Mots-clés: Futurs professeurs de mathématiques, Graphe fonctionnel, Asymptotes et comportement asymptotique.

The number of directed $k$-convex polyominoes

International audience We present a new method to obtain the generating functions for directed convex polyominoes according to several different statistics including: width, height, size of last column/row and number of corners. This method can be used to study different families of directed convex polyominoes: symmetric polyominoes, parallelogram polyominoes. In this paper, we apply our method to determine the generating function for directed $k$-convex polyominoes.We show it is a rational function and we study its asymptotic behavior. Nous présentons une nouvelle méthode générique pour obtenir facilement et rapidement les fonctions génératrices des polyominos dirigés convexes avec différentes combinaisons de statistiques : hauteur, largeur, longueur de la dernière ligne/colonne et nombre de coins. La méthode peut être utilisée pour énumérer différentes familles de polyominos dirigés convexes: les polyominos symétriques, les polyominos parallélogrammes. De cette façon, nouscalculons la fonction génératrice des polyominos dirigés $k$-convexes, nous montrons qu’elle est rationnelle et nous étudions son comportement asymptotique.

Comportement asymptotique d’un modèle à commutation de la prolifération du Typha

International audience In this paper we propose a mathematical model of the Typha growth and analyse its stability. The model that we plan to study describes the dynamics of the plant population. The theoretical study of this model determines the key factors of the Typha proliferation. We present the analysis of equilibrium solutions and lead a study of their local stability.This constitutes a first step towards a more detailed study of the nonlinear dynamics of this model.

PLONGEMENTS LOCAUX ET EXTENSIONS DE CORPS DE NOMBRES

Dans ce travail, nous nous intéressons au plongement [Formula: see text] des T-unités d'un corps de nombres K dans une partie de ses complétés p-adiques construite sur l'ensemble S. Nous montrons que l'injectivité de [Formula: see text] permet d'obtenir des informations sur la structure du groupe de Galois de certaines extensions de K où la ramification est liée à S et la décomposition à T. Nous étudions également le comportement asymptotique du noyau de [Formula: see text] le long d'une extension p-adique analytique sans p-torsion. In this article, we are interested in the embedding [Formula: see text] of the T-units of a number field K in some part of its p-adic completions at S. We show that the injectivity of [Formula: see text] allows us to obtain some information on the structure of the Galois group of some extensions of K where the ramification is attached at S and the decomposition at T. Moreover, we study the asymptotic behavior of the kernel [Formula: see text] along a p-adic analytic extension.

On the enumeration of column-convex permutominoes

International audience We study the enumeration of \emphcolumn-convex permutominoes, i.e. column-convex polyominoes defined by a pair of permutations. We provide a direct recursive construction for the column-convex permutominoes of a given size, based on the application of the ECO method and generating trees, which leads to a functional equation. Then we obtain some upper and lower bounds for the number of column-convex permutominoes, and conjecture its asymptotic behavior using numerical analysis. Nous étudions l'énumeration des \emphpermutominos verticalement convexes, c.à.d. les polyominos verticalement convexes définis par un couple de permutations. Nous donnons une construction recursive directe pour ces permutominos de taille fixée, basée sur une application de la méthode ECO et les arbres de génération, qui nous amène à une équat ion fonctionelle. Ensuite nous obtenons des bornes superieures et inférieures pour le nombre de ces permutominos convexes et nous conjecturons leur comportement asymptotique à l'aide d'analyses numériques.
