Health services, including physiotherapy services, are carried out in almost all health care facilities such as clinics, health centers, and hospitals. Physiotherapy services are one form of health services needed by the community. In order to provide physiotherapy services, physiotherapists can provide various types of modalities or physiotherapy services in the form of electro therapy, actino therapy, hydro therapy, manual therapy or exercise therapy. Almost all health care facilities in South Kalimantan have physiotherapy services, but there is no data on the number and types of physiotherapy services used by health care facilities in the South Kalimantan region. This study aims to determine the types of physiotherapy services that are widely used by health care facilities in South Kalimantan. This study uses a descriptive approach. Based on the results of the study, it was found that 35 respondents (67.3%) used electrotherapy very often and 30 respondents (57.7%) used actino therapy very often. These two types of physiotherapy services are the most widely used by health care facilities in the South Kalimantan region in 2020

A study of the metabolic status of 123myocardial infarction patients who underwent emergency percutaneous coronary intervention and were admitted to the inpatient stage of rehabilitation has been carried out. The examination of the patients revealed a high incidence of hyperglycemia, hyperuricemia, dyslipidemia and atherogenic cholesterol fraction. It has been found that the administration of a pathogenetically based therapeutic complex including physical therapy, manual massage, dry carbon dioxide baths, and 1% nicotinic acid electrophoresis has a significant antiatherogenic effect, and contributes to the correction of uric acid and glucose levels, and insulin resistance.

The consistently high frequency of pathology of urinary system in children dictates the need to find new methods for the treatment and prevention of pyelonephritis.Goal. To study clinical and laboratory indicators of health status in children with chronic pyelonephritis living in the industrial city of Tomsk and evaluate the effectiveness of various rehabilitation treatment regimens.Material and Methods. The kidney and urology examinations were performed in 58 children with a diagnosis of chronic pyelonephritis aged 7 to 12 years. Two treatment schemes including administration of mineral water and physiotherapy were used. Results and Discussion. The following symptoms were detected before treatment: oxaluria in 22.41% of children, microhematuria in 17.24% of children, significant increase in serum and morning urine nitrate/nitrite levels, and microalbuminuria suggesting the instability of cell membranes and inflammatory process in renal tissue.Conclusion. The administration of low-mineralized magnesium-sodium chloride-sulfate water in combination with physical therapy, manual massage, sapropel applications, interference therapy, and enteric oxygen therapy lead to normalization of clinical and laboratory health status indicators in the main group of patients.

CTS rehabilitation includes laser therapy, ultrasound therapy, manual therapy, neurodynamic techniques, functional massage, splint, exercises etc. Alternative treatments for CTS include: acupuncture, massages, the Chinese cupping massage. To conclude, universities should react to the medical students‘ needs by extending their CM curriculum allowing for positive, personal experiences. Nutrition therapy, manual medicine and relaxation techniques should be included in medical education since most students imagined to use these CM therapies as physicians. Critical appraisal of and training in homeopathy and manual medicine might positively influence students‘ attitudes towards CM.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women worldwide [1]. Breast cancer-related lymphoedema (BCRL) is a disabling complication with long term impact on quality on life after breast cancer treatment with an incidence of 2–5%in patients post sentinel node procedures [2] up to 40%following axillary lymph node dissection [3]. BCRL results in swelling of the arm, hand, and trunk which can lead to limb pain, heaviness, and altered sensation [4]. These symptoms can result in functional limitations, psychosocial distress and an overall reduction in quality of life [5]. The aim of this review is evaluate the effects of some of the more common conservative rehabilitation interventions in BCRL. Conservative interventions reviewed include early physiotherapy and exercise, Complex decongestive therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Compression, Electrotherapy & Acupuncture, Self-Treatment & Weight Management. The review may inform policies for treatment within the health service.

Abstract AIS is a common condition whose conservative options usually involve physical therapy. Manual therapy can be part of an adequate conservative strategy due to his ability to improve range of motion and decrease muscle tone and pain. However, his indications and efficacy remain controversial. What is the current evidence on indications and efficacy of manual therapy in the treatment of AIS? Customized structured electronic searches: PubMed, Cochrane. Key terms: AIS manual therapy, AIS manipulative therapy, AIS mobilization exercises. 17 works included. 5 case reports, 3 case series, 2 group-control studies, 3 narrative reviews, 4 systematic reviews. Complications:0. Reviews suggested that manual therapy is a promising option if in adjunct to physical therapy exercises. Prevention of curve progression and better spine flexibility are often achieved. It remains unclear whether this should be attributed to physical therapy, manual therapy, or combination of both. Lacks in methodology leave room for uncertainty. Only few papers analyse the indications and efficacy of manual therapy in treatment of AIS. The current evidence suggest that manual therapy is a promising beneficial treatment strategy for AIS with conservative indications, especially if in conjunction with physical therapy. This is further supported by absence of reported complications. Further research with better methodology is needed.
