My quest for necessary wisdom about mothering, teaching, researching—coalescing here as art and research—comes by way of a mantra enacted between mother and daughter onto the world: milk, heat, time. An awareness of mantra as methodologically potent occurred through the artistic practice of drawing with mother’s milk, heat, and time. Traveling through the twists and overlaps of my complicated existence as a mother, artist, teacher, and researcher this paper offers three imaginable potencies for arts-based research: mantra unfolds myth, mantra intensifies listening, and mantra generates reciprocity. This contemplatively and performatively crafted text brings to light these three potencies through multiple modes of data-creation: mantra, time, drawing, sensation, song, memory, connection, affect, photographs, writing, and materiality. Linger with me in the place where unconsumed mother’s milk—fat and water separating in plastic sleeves and bound for the trash in a university childcare setting— coalesced with cultural myths of breastfeeding, embodied memories of labor and returning to work after childbirth, grassy-scented infant’s breath, lullabies, milk scorching on a hot iron, cotton clothing, silver salts embedded in light-sensitive paper, and more. Linger and listen—water, bodies, stories, hidden, unhidden.

Nd1(Fe)0.2Ba1.8Cu3O7-δ oxide material have been successfully synthesized by solid-state reaction with modified heat treatment process to improve the heat time efficiency, calcination at 950°C for six hours, sintering at 975°C fo six hours, and annealing at 450°C for six hours, respectively. The X-ray diffraction pattern shows that a single-phase form of Nd1(Fe)0.2Ba1.8Cu3O7-δ is an orthorhombic (Pmmm) structure. The Rietveld refinement analysis found, the lattice parameter are a = 3.8758Å, b = 3.9101Å, and c = 11.7190Å with χ2 = 1.394%. The SEM-EDAX image shows that the samples are form clusters with size estimates of 10 - 40μm, and the elemental composition of the oxide materials is Ba rich.

Rumination time is one of possible parameters for observing not only feed management and health status, but also some reproductive characteristics such as heat or periparturient period. The evaluation of rumination time in this study was done on Holstein dairy cows in period around heat (n = 297) and around parturition (n = 322) during one year. SAS 9.3 was used for statistic evaluation. Factors such as heat or periparturient period but also a parity or month within the year have significant impact on rumination time. The decrease of rumination time in the average of 19% (more than 100 minutes) was observed in heat time against days before heat. Similarly, decrease of rumination time more than 110 minutes was observed on the day of parturition in comparison with days before that day. However, the return to normal rumination time values was gradual within 3 day after calving. The results indicated that in healthy cows the rumination time can be a good indicator not only of approaching periparturient but also of incoming heat.

Nanocrystalline tin dioxide (SnO2) thin films have been successfully prepared by sol–gel spin-coating technique on p-type Si (100) substrates. A stable solution was prepared by mixing tin(II) chloride dihydrate, pure ethanol, and glycerin. Temperature affects the properties of SnO2 thin films, particularly the crystallite size where the crystallization of SnO2 with tetragonal rutile structure is achieved when thin films that prepared under different aging heat times are annealed at 400[Formula: see text]C. By increasing aging heat time in the presence of annealing temperatures the FESEM images indicated that the thickness of the fabricated film was directly proportional to solution viscosity, increasing from approximately 380 nm to 744 nm, as well as the crystallization of the thin films improved and reduced defects.

The results of thermotechnical testing of aluminium, iron and bimetal heaters are presented. Heating capacity of appliances is determined by experiments, heat time is found by experimental and theoretical methods. Engineering method of dynamic properties calculation is proposed. Results analysis shows the differences between heat time and estimated heat time. In this regard correction index is added in calculation formula.
