Getting married in the Catholic Church should be preceded by preparation divided into three stages: further, closer and direct. In Poland, since June 1st , 2021, an episcopal document is in force, specifying in particular canonical and pastoral talks with the engaged couples. The earlier stages of marriage formation have been discussed in scattered legal acts. These documents have the scope of the universal Church and the others are in force in Poland. This study summarizes the regulations that are in force in Poland, regarding further and closer marriage preparation. Some changes were suggested, for the welfare of marriage.

Drawing on a comparative study of evangelical premarital counseling programs, I analyze how the leadership construct sexual discourses that reimagine and reify existing views about sex and how to feel about it. Situated within evangelicalism’s emotional regime that conceptualizes unmarried believers in a sexual battleground and married couples in a playground, engaged couples occupy a liminal position where they must engage in emotion work to relearn how to think and feel about sex. Comparing the sexual discourses at each program— sexuality as a behavior and sexuality as embodied—that inform leaderships’ advice to couples beginning to make this transition, I find that how they talk about sex has consequences for how they imagine people should manage their emotions.

After a literature review, in the quantitative phase, validity properties of the SHENAQ were assessed. Results: Sexual health education needs consists of 4 themes “Suitable content for education “,” Characteristics of competent educators”, “Appropriate technologies in education” and” Educational convenient features”. The content validity ratio (CVR) and content validity index (CVI) of the instrument were 0.91 and0.83 respectively. SHENAQ was designed with 46 items. The instrument’s internal consistency was confirmed by alpha coefficient 0.863 and stability assessment through the test-retest was 0.824. Conclusion: SHENAQ is culturally sensitive with satisfactory validity and reliability and could be used to increase the effectiveness of premarital education. The object of the analysis is to present the results of longitudinal studies on the quality of betrothal and matrimony in the perspective of attachment theory by John Bowlby. The first empirical studies have been conducted among engaged couples and repeated later amid identical couples already recognized as spouses. Theoretical context of the research was the theory of attachment. The study was focused on three dimensions of betrothal and marriage life: the quality of relationship, interpersonal communication, understanding of love.
