Endikat Bengkok irrigation area located in Muara Enim with area of 1,140 ha. The Endikat Bengkok Irrigation channel used to irrigate rice fields in four villages, namely Segamit, Siring Agung, Arimantai and Fajar Bulan, districts of Semendo Barat Ulu. The source of irrigation water are available in the Endikat Bengkok River, which is a subsidiary of the Lematang River. The purpose of this study was to analyze the water availibility in the Endikat Bengkok River for the adequacy of the Endikat Bengkok Irrigation Area, and the appropriate water provision group. Primary data was collected in the form of the planting group, secondary data in the form of rainfall data and climatological data. The calculation of evapotranspiration used the Penman method and the calculation of water availability used the F.J. Mock. From the calculation of water availability showed that the maximum value occurred in April amounted to 48.15 m3 / s and the minimum value occurred in October amounted to 2.23 m3 / s. The availability of water for irrigation (80% dependable flow) is not sufficient to irrigate the entire Endikat Bengkok Irrigation Area. The most suitable water supply group by rotating based on the provisions of the irrigation planning criteria.

ABSTRACTThere are two ecotypes, upland rice and irrigate rice, during its evolution in rice. Upland rice exhibits aerobic adaptive phenotype via its stronger root system and more rapid drought responses compared with its counterpart, irrigated rice. We assessed the functional variation and applications of the aerobic adaptive allele OsNCED2T cloned from IRAT104 which is a cultivar of upland rice. OsNCED2-overexpressing transgenic rice and OsNCED2T-NILs exhibited significantly higher ABA contents at the seedling and reproductive stages, which can improve root development (RD) and drought tolerance (DT) to promote aerobic adaptation in upland rice. RNA-Seq-based expression profiling of transgenic versus wild-type rice identified OsNCED2-mediated pathways that regulate RD and DT. Meanwhile, OsNCED2-overexpressing rice exhibited significantly increased reactive oxygen species (ROS)-scavenging abilities and transcription levels of many stress- and development-related genes, which regulate RD and DT. A SNP mutation (C to T) from irrigated rice to upland rice, caused the functional variation of OsNCED2, and the enhanced RD and DT mediated by this site under aerobic conditions could promote higher yield of upland rice. These results show that OsNCED2T, through ABA synthesis, positively modulates RD and DT which confers aerobic adaptation in upland rice and might serve as a novel gene for breeding aerobic adaptive or water-saving rice.

One very important element in agriculture is water. The availability of water must be guaranteed so that plants can grow throughout the year. The lack of water availability means that crops cannot be produced throughout the year, causing farmers to become inadequate. Engineering irrigation is one of the systems that can regulate water availability throughout the year, but not all regions in Indonesia have such irrigation. Sambirejo Village is one of the villages in Langkat Regency which still utilizes a rainfed irrigation system. The main problem from Sambirejo Village, especially the Karya Tani Farmer Group, which is a service partner, is the unavailability of water to irrigate rice fields during the dry season. This unavailability of water causes a reduction in the productivity of farmers who are supposed to harvest three times to only twice a year. Through community service activities carried out the construction of borehole irrigation in Sembirejo Village. This method utilizes ground water as a source of water supply during the dry season. Drilled well irrigation can be enjoyed directly by farmers in the vicinity of the service area, and in the dry season the water needs for plants are available.

Abstrak: Desa Babakbawo memiliki luas 172,4 ha dan sebagian besar wilayahnya adalah dataran rendah yang tidak mengandung kapur sehingga pada umumnya masyarakat mengolah dan menggunakan tanah sebagai kolam, kebun, sawah dan lainnya. Sidomulyo adalah salah satu dusun di Babakbawo. Para petani di Sidomulyo menggunakan air dari Sungai Bengawan Solo untuk mengairi sawah. Hambatan besar pertanian di Sidomulyo adalah masalah hama tikus. Oleh karena itu, perlu ada solusi untuk membasmi tikus secara tepat dan efisien. Salah satu solusinya adalah metode merokok. Sebelum menggunakan perangkat ini, perangkat fogging yang mereka gunakan adalah perangkat fogging manual. Perangkat manual menggunakan tenaga tangan untuk menggerakkan kipas. Dalam penelitian ini metode fumigasi menggunakan fogging tikus modern dengan menggunakan motor listrik sebagai aktuator untuk mengaktifkan kipas di dalam perangkat. Perangkat fogging ini dibuat dengan tujuan agar petani lebih mudah memberantas tikus tanpa menyia-nyiakan tenaga dan waktu manusia. Perangkat ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas panen sehingga meningkatkan tingkat ekonomis di sidomulyo.Babakbawo village has an area of 172.4 ha and most of its area is lowland which does not contain lime so that in general the community cultivates and uses the land as ponds, gardens, rice fields and others. Sidomulyo is one of sub-village in Babakbawo. These farmers in Sidomulyo use water from the Bengawan Solo River to irrigate rice fields. The huge obstacle of agriculture in Sidomulyo  is  rat pest problem. Therefore, it is necessary to have a solution to eradicate rats appropriately and efficiently. One solution is the smoking method. Before use this device, fogging device that they used were manual fogging device. The manual device used hand power to actuate the fan. In this research method of fumigation using modern rat fogging by using a electric motor as an actuator to active the fan inside the device. This fogging device is made with the aim of making it easier for farmers to eradicate rats without wasting man power and time. The device is expected to improve the quality and quantity of the harvest so it increases the economical rate in sidomulyo.

Abstract Bawean is an archipelago administratively included in Gresik Regency, where the main occupation of the people is farming and fishing, but not all of the people have land to farm and ships to go to sea, and not a few who work in Malaysia and Singapore have even become citizens of that country. so that the land and rice fields below are unproductive, so there is cooperation between landowners and tenants or cultivators, in agricultural practices, landowners and processors or workers often make contracts and agreements in such cooperation, as well as in the village of Lebak, the agreement sees to the weather, or irrigation used to irrigate rice fields, and the yields obtained during the rainy season in certain months are different, there are at least three cooperation systems in the muzara'ah contract implemented there, in this study the three systems were analyzed to determine which in accordance with Islamic law , of the three, there are two agreements that use the muzara’ah contract, and the other one uses the ijarah agreement or lease agreement. <p align="center"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p class="11daftarpustaka"> </p><p>Untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, pemerintah memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat atas sarana dan prasarana public. Salah satu kebutuhan masyarakat adalah tersedianya sumber air irigasi yang memadai untuk mengairi sawah. Embung Alue Sapi mempunyai luas genangan kurang lebih 4 Ha mengairi sawah seluas 500 Ha, Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir embung tersebut tidak lagi berfungsi karena telah terjadi kerusakan sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan. Agar pelaksanaan perbaikan dapat sesuai sasaran, maka perlu dilakukan kajian jenis dan tingkat kerusakan sehingga akan diperoleh suatu gambar detail desain melalui Survey Investigasi Disain (SID). Tujuan investigasi disain untuk mengetahui kelayakan embung dalam melayani ketersediaan air persawahan bagi masyarakat. Debit kebutuhan air sebesar 0.65 m<sup>3</sup>/det, hal ini lebih kecil dari debit periode ulang 2 tahunan sebesar 0,784 m<sup>3</sup>/det, Untuk periode ulang 5 tahunan sebesar 1,036 m<sup>3</sup>/det, periode ulang 10 tahunan sebesar 1,203 m<sup>3</sup>/det dan periode ulang 25 tahunan sebesar 1,413 m<sup>3</sup>/det. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa potensi air pada embung Alue Sapi cukup memadai, terjadinya masalah tidak berfungsinya embung disebabkan oleh kerusakan pada bagian dinding bangunan bendung, kerusakan pada pintu pembagi dan kurangnya kapasitas tampungan embung.</p><p class="11daftarpustaka"> </p><p class="11daftarpustaka">Kata kunci: <em>Investigasi, </em><em>disain bangunan embung.</em><em></em></p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p align="center"><strong>Abstract</strong></p><p class="11daftarpustaka"> </p><p class="11daftarpustaka">To improve the welfare of the community, the government meets the needs of the community for public facilities and infrastructure. One of the needs of the community is the availability of adequate sources of irrigation water to irrigate rice fields. Alue Sapi embankment has a pool area of approximately 4 ha irrigating 500 hectares of rice fields. In the last few years the reservoir has no longer functioned because of damage so it needs to be repaired. In order for the implementation of repairs to be in accordance with the target, it is necessary to study the type and level of damage so that a detailed design image will be obtained through the Design Investigation Survey (SID). The purpose of the design investigation is to determine the feasibility of a reservoir in serving the availability of paddy water for the community. Discharge of water needs is 0.65 m3 / sec, this is less than the annual 2-period return discharge of 0.784 m3 / sec, for an annual 5-year return period of 1.036 m3 / sec, a 10-year return period of 1.203 m3 / sec and a 25-year return period amounting to 1,413 m3 / sec. This shows that the water potential in the Alue Sapi reservoir is sufficient, the problem of the malfunctioning of the dam is caused by damage to the walls of the dam building, damage to the divider door and lack of reservoir capacity.</p><p class="11daftarpustaka"> </p><p class="11daftarpustaka">Keywords: <em>Investigation, design of reservoir buildings.</em><em></em></p>

Abstract— Population growth impacts on accumulating basic need. Basic foodstuff of Indonesia people is rice. The rice is derived from paddy field. The availability of paddy land use need to be maintained due to the continuously of supporting aspects ie water, paddy field. Therefore,  it is necessary to manage rice crops to yield more production. Irrigation is one way to increase rice production. Irrigation plays an important role in the success of rice production. An important role of this irrigation should be assessed economically. The economic value of irrigation for paddy production needs to be studied. An important role of the irrigation should be assessed econmically. The economic value of irrigation for paddy production needs to be studied. Study of economic value is important so that people know that the irrigation water is an important contribution in the production of rice in addition to seeds, fertilizer and labor. It is necessary for economic calculation.This study aimed to quantify the economic value of watersheds to irrigate rice fields.
