The “Studio of art designing” develops and publishes electronic creative education programs for children and young people. All virtual kits represent miniature programs each designed for a small but clear task. The main purpose of each construction kit is to reveal the meaning of some aspect of the creative process. Virtual construction kits suggest the user making their own work of art. However, this creative process is done with the help of means and methods that develop the user’s thinking. Thus, the user gets to know this phenomenon “from the inside.” Virtual kits have found application in textbooks for a comprehensive school and as an accompaniment to museum projects. Projects related to the Russian Avant-Garde, antique vase-painting, steampunk, infographics, animation, “laterna magica” and visual storytelling are used in many secondary schools and museums in Russia.

As one of the elements of natural ecological display design, color is particularly important for the virtual construction of natural ecology. However, how to reflect the ecological nature in the natural ecological display color design is a problem worthy of thinking. This paper focuses on the ecological nature of display color design. Taking the ecological nature of color design of Beijing Natural Ecological Exhibition Hall as an example, it starts from the definition of ecological nature of display color design to the embodiment of ecological nature of color design. Then this paper focuses on the ecological expression of display color design with the theme of nature. Finally, this paper discusses the teaching method of natural ecological color design education, and puts forward the teaching method guided by the virtual construction process of natural ecology and the natural color design method. Experimental results show that the method can improve the effectiveness of color design education.

The content of the paper presents the virtual construction of an electric propulsion system from the source to synchronous motor with variable speed which drives the propeller. The variable speed of the propeller is obtained by changing the frequency of the supply voltage produced by the cycloconverters (12 pulses). Electric propulsion system simulation with cycloconverter is made in Matlab Simulink, which highlights the characteristics of the synchronous motor used in naval propulsion.

Vision-based tracking systems enable the optimization of the productivity and safety management on construction sites by monitoring the workers’ movements. However, training and evaluation of such a system requires a vast amount of data. Sufficient datasets rarely exist for this purpose. We investigate the use of synthetic data to overcome this issue. Using 3D computer graphics software, we model virtual construction site scenarios. These are rendered for the use as a synthetic dataset which augments a self-recorded real world dataset. Our approach is verified by means of a tracking system. For this, we train a YOLOv3 detector identifying pedestrian workers. Kalman filtering is applied to the detections to track them over consecutive video frames. First, the detector’s performance is examined when using synthetic data of various environmental conditions for training. Second, we compare the evaluation results of our tracking system on real world and synthetic scenarios. With an increase of about 7.5 percentage points in mean average precision, our findings show that a synthetic extension is beneficial for otherwise small datasets. The similarity of synthetic and real world results allow for the conclusion that 3D scenes are an alternative to evaluate vision-based tracking systems on hazardous scenes without exposing workers to risks.

The purpose of this study is to examine the potential of the virtual construction site as a tool of knowledge management on technological processes of construc-tion production at the university. A digital paradigm that ensures the unity of in-novative and smart technologies in construction education and improves knowledge management tools has become the methodological basis. The authors present the criteria for the effectiveness of teaching technological processes with the help of virtual construction site (digital, professional, personal). The guide-lines for teaching students to make a technological map in construction are pro-posed. The levels of knowledge of modern digital technologies are presented. The practical significance of the study is to present the experience of teaching techno-logical processes using digital content. The social significance lies in the for-mation of a sustainable orientation of students towards the digitalization of con-struction production. Originality of research consists in substantiation of virtual construction site as the effective tool of knowledge management.
