Nonstandard Hulls of C*-Algebras and Their Applications

For the sake of providing insight into the use of nonstandard techniques à la A. Robinson and into Luxemburg’s nonstandard hull construction, we first present nonstandard proofs of some known results about C*-algebras. Then we introduce extensions of the nonstandard hull construction to noncommutative probability spaces and noncommutative stochastic processes. In the framework of internal noncommutative probability spaces, we investigate properties like freeness and convergence in distribution and their preservation by the nonstandard hull construction. We obtain a nonstandard characterization of the freeness property. Eventually we provide a nonstandard characterization of the property of equivalence for a suitable class of noncommutative stochastic processes and we study the behaviour of the latter property with respect to the nonstandard hull construction.

Application Of CPM Methode (Critical Path Methode) In Controlling The Time 100 Teus Contrainer Ship Hull Construction Project

Construction projects are generally the most high-risk businesses, especially shipbuilding projects. Efforts to reduce the risk can be done by minimizing the potential risk. This study aims to see potential high risk and prevent delays in the completion of ship construction using the Critical Path Method CPM at PT. XYZ. By using the Critical Path Method CPM critical paths can be given more attention so that they will not interfere ship construction projects. In addition, it is also a form of anticipation if there is a delay, it is possible to reschedule.

Optimal base point selection method based on convex hull construction technology

The primary purpose of maritime delimitation is to ensure the maximum internal waters area obtained. In order to grantee the maximum internal waters area obtained with the selected base point, the idea and method of optimal selection of the territorial sea base points with the convex hull (minimum convex hull) construction technology is proposed. The ideal base points are selected by constructing convex hull for all alternative base points, which makes it possible to realize the automatic selection of base points under the principle of the maximum internal waters area.

Development of an IHOP Execution System Based on Analyses of Shipyard Production Planning Process

Production management in shipyards is one of the most significant activities impacting productivity. On-site managers and production planners still do not have sufficient production information to enable on-site scheduling because of restricted information sharing among departments. In this research, the main production management challenges were determined from workflow simulations of the production planning processes. An analysis of the requirements for effective communication between production management and on-site personnel was undertaken to establish an integrated hull construction, outfitting, and painting execution system architecture for shipyard applications, developed following the component-based design methodology. The proposed systems key functions encompass stages from block assembly to hull outfitting at the quay, and enable visualization of the production progress through color differentiation to maximize production information sharing. The proposed system facilitates the transmission of reliable and accurate production information to all relevant personnel in an appropriate timeframe.
