This chapter contains practice questions based on a broad range of trauma topics that may be encountered within the ‘Trauma’ station of the FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) viva examination. The trauma topics covered include various fractures: open tibia, talar neck, neck of femur, Lisfranc, pilon, as well as several joint dislocations; knee and hip. Key concepts such as damage control orthopaedics, the management of major trauma, and neurovascular injuries are included. The vivas include: discussion of anatomical approaches, surgical techniques, relevant guidelines, and potential complications.
