(1) Background: The spiritual dimension’s importance in health/disease processes is widely recognized, also being demonstrated by scientific evidence. Hence, its study is crucial, particularly with respect to a Mental health nursing consultation occurring in a community resource, such as a public bathhouse. This study aims to identify the nursing interventions of spiritual nature developed over 5 years in the abovementioned setting, thus characterizing the Portuguese reality; (2) Methods: Observational, cross-sectional and quantitative study, based on a sample comprising all users who attended a community Mental health nursing consultation, from March 2015, to 31 December 2019; (3) Results: A total of 205 nursing appointments were performed, from which emerged a set of 346 diagnoses, resulting in 455 nursing interventions. Of the latter, some deserve to be highlighted, due to a greater prevalence: “listening” (61; 13%), “supporting” (38; 8%), “promoting self-esteem” (37; 8%), “monitoring vital signs” (31; 7%), and “identifying attitude towards care” (25; 5%); (4) Conclusions: even though some of the interventions performed during the consultations were associated with the spiritual dimension, the collected data points towards a need for new diagnoses and nursing interventions, namely, those which may help mitigate spiritual distress.

Schizophrenia is a chronic and multifactorial mental health problem that occurs in developing countries, including in Indonesia. Families with schizophrenia patients will feel the burden of care and lead to pasung, and supported by various factors. Pasung, by the family, aims to control the aggressive behavior of the patient. A systematic review was conducted by searching four online databases, namely ProQuest, Science Direct, and EBSCO, and Google Scholar in the past ten years. This analysis uses the PRISMA 2009 method and obtained 14 articles for final review. The results obtained are the internal factors that most influence on pasung is the aggressive behavior of schizophrenia patients, both towards themselves, family, or the environment. In comparison, the most influential external factor is the emergence of stigma against patients and their families. Both of these factors cause the family to decide to pasung on schizophrenia patients, associated with feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Community mental health nursing (CMHN) plays a role in handling and preventing pasung, which must be supported by the government and the community. Increased knowledge about schizophrenia and pasung in community has an impact on improving the mental health status of the community. Optimal mental health is the right of everyone throughout the world, including in Indonesia.

ABSTRAK. Tahap perkembangan anak usia sekolah jika tidak tercapai akan menimbulkan perilaku yang menyimpang. Tulisan ini bertujuan melaporkan pengaruh Terapi Kelompok Terapeutik (TKT) dan Terapi Asertif terhadap perkembangan dan kemampuan perilaku asertif anak sekolah dalam mencegah perundungan (bullying) dengan pendekatan model hubungan interpersonal Peplau di Kota Bogor Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Pemberian terapi-terapi ini dilakukan pada dua anak usia sekolah yang dilakukan di masyarakat dalam program Community Mental Health nursing (CMHN). Pemberian TKT terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan anak secara motorik, kognitif, bahasa, moral, spiritual, emosi, kepribadian dan psikososial sedangkan penambahan terapi asertif setelah TKT dapat lebih meningkatkan kemampuan aspek bahasa, emosi dan kemampuan perilaku asertif anak Keluarga dan kader sehat jiwa membantu memudahkan penulis dalam melakukan tindakan keperawatan. Hasil penerapan terapi ini merekomendasikan agar perawat spesialis keperawatan jiwa saat deteksi dini pada anak usia sekolah menggunakan pengkajian perkembangan dan assesment perundungan (bullying), serta bekerjasama dengan perawat CMHN, keluarga dan kader kesehatan jiwa dalam menerapkan TKT dan terapi asertif. Serta Terapi ini juga bisa diterapkan di sekolah dalam program Usaha Kesehatan Jiwa di Sekolah untuk mencegah perundungan (bullying) pada anak.
