In this paper, a new suggested system for speaker recognition by using hidden markov model (HHM) algorithm. Many researches have been written in this subject, especially by HMM. Arabic language is one of the difficult languages and the work with it is very little, also, the work has been done for text dependent system where HMM is very effective and the algorithm trained at the word level. One the problems in such systems is the noise, so we take it in consideration by adding additive white gaussian noise (AWGN) to the speech signals to see its effect. Here, we used HMM with new algorithm with one state, where two of these components, i.e. (π and A) are removed. This give extremely accelerates the training and testing stages of recognition speeds with lowest memory usage, as seen in the work. The results show an excellent outcome. 100% recognition rate for the tested data, about 91.6% recognition rate with AWGN noise.

The speaking skills among students are not satisfying. Thus, this research aims to clarify the role of Arabic debates in developing the speaking skills among non-Arabic speaker debaters. The main purpose of this study is to find out the benefit of Arabic debates in developing the speaking skills among students of Darul Quran JAKIM. It has been using the method of descriptive analysis in the implementation of this academic writing. To gather information, the researcher distributed questionnaires to the students that have been participated in the Arabic debate competition as sample. The sample was chosen from all faculties and the study was practiced to 40 students. The results of this study show that the Arabic debate is effective to develop the speaking skills among participants as the entire sample have benefited a lot from the debates to develop and enhance their speaking skills. The benefits include all four aspects of the standard develop of speech, such as intellectual, linguistics, audio, and interactive aspects. The researcher draws some suggestions for maximizing the role and contribution of debates to improve the speaking skills of the students especially and to all the universities and institutions in general. Lastly, the study suggested that every student of Arabic Language in particular and whoever interested in teaching and learning it in general, to take the selected strategies as their guideline in enhancing speaking skill level.

The present study is an attempt to explore the ways of an Iraqi Arabic speaker conceptualises his/her understanding of various abstract domains of emotions or feeling and attitudes through his/her experiences of concrete domains of Cold and Hot metaphors. Lakoff & Johnson’s (1980) Conceptual Metaphor Theory is adopted to analyse the collected data. Idiomatic expressions and proverbs are chosen specifically from the southern dialect where they are widely used in daily interaction. The data analysis classified the results according to their abstract and concrete domains of the sampled data. The findings of this study showed different conceptualisations of the Hot and Cold metaphor in Iraqi Arabic. The study concluded that these metaphors are used to conceive more of the abstract concepts of emotions, feelings, and attitudes. Cold domain is used to conceptualise the bad habits of people, and it is also used to conceptualise some good habits, on the other hand. Whereas Hot domain is used to conceptualise the more intensive of emotions and attitudes. The study concluded that the sharp emotions, feelings and attitudes that are understood from the conceptualisation of Hot and Cold conceptual metaphors, are experienced from the more concrete domains of hard things.

Abstract Most systems of speaker recognition work on speech feature primarily classified of being a low level which considerably relies on speaker physical characteristics and, to the lower extent, the acquired speaking habits. In this paper present a system to recognition and identification in Arabic speaker. It includes two phases (training phase and testing phase) each phase includes the using of audio features (Mean, Standard Division, Zero Crossing, Amplitude). after get the feature, the recognition step is using (J48, KNN, LVQ),) where the Nearest Neighbor (KNN) applied o get the similarity of the data training and data testing , LVQ neural network used for Speech Recognition and Arabic language Identification. This sentence contains words especially kidnappings and kidnappers are ten sentences and pronounce these sentences by 10 people, five men and five women of different ages and each of the ten pronunciation of all sentences, so a total of 100 samples and the samples were recorded on audio and wave. The results of the sentences pronounced by women are higher than the results of the same sentences pronounced by men. They achieved better recognition rate 85, 93, 96.4%

The improvement of Non native Arabic learners and the required adequacies needed for improvement are linked, also with the outcomes and previously stated adequacies; hence the effect of these adeqaucies or ineffect are built upon the improvement of the learners. The outcome of this study is to famaliarise ourselves with the required adeqaucies needed to ground a Non native Arabic speaker in the language, the methods used for improvement in the light if these adequacies, for this a descriptive method of research was used. The research concluded: The goal of teaching the Arabic Language to Non native speakers was grounding them in the adequacies of linguistics, communication, culture, with a concordance between learner improvement according to the previously mentioned three adequacies, language activities playing a role in appraisals and enhancement of the adequacies, and examinations of all kinds being a part of learner improvement and not the only method used in development.
