Improving the legal framework for counterintelligence support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

A comprehensive approach to reforming the Security Service of Ukraine necessitates the preparation of amendments to regulations. The article, based on the analysis of the institutional capabilities of the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, proposes changes and additions to current legislation that expand the legal basis for counterintelligence support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Proposals to improve the legal regulation of the activities of military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine regulate organizational, social, personnel, logistical and other issues of it`s functioning.

Understanding Mexico’s Position in the Context of the Growing Intersection between Geopolitics and International Finance

This paper argues that, based on a comprehensive assessment, Mexico’s national power in the field of finance is feeble. Therefore, the Mexican state is not prepared to address in an assertive way the increasing expression of systemic geopolitical rivalries through financial channels. Likewise, its close economic ties to the US increase Mexico’s degree of exposure to a potential external disruption. As a result, there are structural imbalances and vulnerabilities which jeopardise the country’s national security. Moreover, this dangerous situation is heightened by a lack of appropriate policies and institutional capabilities.
