Correction and prevention of lumbosacral osteochondrosis in elderly women based on the use of exercise complexes in water

The study is devoted to identifying the effectiveness of exercise complexes in water for the correction and prevention of lumbosacral osteochondrosis in elderly women, which was proven and expressed in a significant improvement in systolic blood pressure, the Stange and Gencha test, spinal mobility in the Tomayer test and the Schober test, lateral flexion of the spine to the left and right, maintaining stability of balance in the Romberg test, quality of life. Optimization of coprological studies in animals with the use of homeopathic Nux vomica 6CH

Background: Etiology of various gastrointestinal dysfunctions varies from infections and infestations to consequences of emotional stress and errors in animals’ nutrition. Taking this variability of etiology and pathogenesis into account, a lot depends not only on completeness of homeopathic history taking but also on the quality of laboratory studies. In our experience, coprology studies are especially complicated when persistent gastrointestinal disorders were preceded by massive use of allopathic remedies. This sometimes necessitates repeated examinations. That is why our interest in having reliable results and early detection of latent indigestion made us look for non-invasive methods which could be easy to use in animals but at the same time could reveal latent gastrointestinal pathology in animals. Aims: The study was aimed to determine the effect of a homeopathic medication Nux Vomica 6CH on detection of latent gastrointestinal pathology in small domestic animals. Method: Coprology studies were performed simultaneously with the use of sedimentation method and Fulleborn method (modification of Scherbovich). Infestations were diagnosed and characteristics of patient digestion were recorded. Feces test detected: 1. Presence of endoparasites (helminths, protozoa and yeast-like structures); 2. State of intestinal microflora (presence of different species and their balance with each other); 3. Degree of food absorbency (presence or lack of undigested protein, carbohydrates and fat); 4. Presence of inedible inclusions; 5. Presence of cells (lymphocytes, erythrocytes, intestinal epithelium, tumor fragments). If animal feces tests were non-informative, then all medications (except vitally important) were discontinued and Nux Vomica 6CH twice a day twenty minutes prior to food intake was prescribed for 6 days (4 globules dissolved in 10 ml of water). Results: 4500 coprology tests were performed during 3 years in cats and dogs. About 10% of the total number of examined animals (449 patients) produced very little information about the state of gastrointestinal systems at the first examination. When these cases were analyzed, the following reasons were found: long-term use of strong drugs, significant weakening of body immune system. As a result diagnostic tests were of very little value. These animals were treated by Nux Vomica 6CH for 6 days and then repeated feces test was performed. This produced a more informative picture of the state of gastrointestinal system and enabled to determine etiology and pathogenesis of the animal condition and prescribe necessary treatment. Conclusion. In such a way, Nux Vomica 6CH homeopathic remedy promoted effective optimization of coprology studies in animals. The suggested scheme of use for Nux Vomica 6CH significantly improves feces test quality. This in turn reduces time needed to choose strategy and tactics of treatment of small domestic animals with different chronic diseases.

Awareness Modeling and Computing for Quality-Aware Coordination

In this paper, we address the issues of the trade-off between QoS and QoE with an analytical analysis based on mathematical modeling under a unified normalization measurement. We model through computation the awareness of QoS and QoE with a strategy of quality-aware QoE-QoS coordination. A balanced coordination is proposed using modeling correlations between user experience and service performance. The main contributions of this paper include three main parts. First, a comprehensive mapping is modeled in a close form to illustrate the analytic correlations between QoS, QoE, and data communication. Second, an analytical method to analyze and coordinate the nonlinear trade-off between QoE and QoS is proposed based on the theoretical proof with discussions on necessary-sufficient conditions. Third, an algorithmic framework is provided to perform QoE-QoS coordination based on quality-awareness computing with a test proof. An assessment model for user experience quantification is built with the mean opinion score (MOS) test. Quality-aware QoE and QoS models are built based on the subspace learning strategy. Simulations are given to prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. The results show that the operations with the proposed solution can be obtained analytically with balanced efficiency in both user experience performance and network performance.

Preventing Scan-Based Side-Channel Attacks by Scan Obfuscating with a Configurable Shift Register

Scan test is widely used in integrated circuit test. However, the excellent observability and controllability provided by the scan test gives attackers an opportunity to obtain sensitive information by using scan design to threaten circuit security. Hence, the primary motivation of this paper is to improve the existing DFT technique, i.e., to enhance the chip security on the premise of guaranteeing test quality. In this paper, we propose a new scan design method against scan-based side-channel attack. In the proposed method, the encryption structure is adopted, which requires the correct test authorization code to carry out normal test operation. Without the correct test authorization, the attackers cannot obtain the desired scan data, preventing the scan-based side-channel attacks. Furthermore, the test authorization code is determined by the nonvolatile memory built into the chip to realize the inconsistency of the test authorization code for each chip.

Intelligent recommendation algorithm of mobile application crowdsourcing test based on deep learning

As the functions of mobile applications become more and more complex, the crowdsourcing testing puts higher demands on the professional skills of testers. Therefore, it is an important factor to ensure test quality how to effectively match test task requirements with test personnel's skill level and achieve accurate crowdsourcing test task recommendation. This paper proposes a crowdsourcing test task recommendation algorithm for mobile applications based on deep learning. Firstly, feature analysis is carried out for testing tasks and testers, and feature systems are designed respectively. Second, the resulting characteristic data is used as input data for the Stacked Marginalized Denoising Autoencoder (SMDA). The deep feature data learned from SMDA are combined as the input of Deep Neural Networks (DNN). Finally, the learning ability of DNN is used for prediction. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has obvious advantages in both performance and training time compared with CDL and AUTOSVD ++, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. The proposed algorithm can recommend testing tasks to appropriate testers and improve the precision of the algorithm.

Washback or backwash? Revisiting the status quo of washback and test impact in EFL contexts

It has been argued in the literature on (language) testing that any act of testing/assessment can impact (a) educators’ curriculum design, (b) teachers’ teaching practices, and (c) students’ learning behaviors. This quality of any given testing situation or act of assessment has been called washback, or backwash if you will. Washback falls into the two categories of positive or negative—that is, beneficial or harmful. After an overview of the existing scholarly knowledge on washback, this paper argues that washback is not necessarily a test quality. Drawing on the notion of test method facets, the paper lends support to claims that see washback as a main function of teaching, learning, and policy-making situations or conditions rather than a quality of any given test. The paper also argues that the concepts of facet design and analysis including formal research designs, structural hypothesis testing, and measurement are inevitable and inescapable in any comprehensive model of washback. A possible borderline between backwash and washback is also proposed.

A Simplified Method for Predicting Pattern Match Ratio

Cognitive diagnostic test design (CDTD) has a direct impact on the pattern match ratio (PMR) of the classification of examinees. It is more helpful to know the quality of a test during the stage of the test design than after the examination is taken. The theoretical construct validity (TCV) is an index of the test quality that can be calculated without testing, and the relationship between the PMR and the TCV will be revealed. The TCV captures the three aspects of the appeal of the test design as follows: (1) the TCV is a measure of test construct validity, and this index will navigate the processes of item construction and test design toward achieving the goal of measuring the intended objectives, (2) it is the upper bound of the PMR of the knowledge states of examinees, so it can predict the PMR, and (3) it can detect the defects of test design, revise the test in time, improve the efficiency of test design, and save the cost of test design. Furthermore, the TCV is related to the distribution of knowledge states and item categories and has nothing to do with the number of items.
