High-frequency power transformers are conducive to the reliable grid connection of distributed energy sources. Polyimide is often used for the coating insulation of high-frequency power transformers. However, creeping discharge will cause insulation failure, therefore, it is necessary to use disiloxane for the purpose of modifying the molecular structure of polyimide. This paper not only introduces 1,3-bis(3-aminopropyl)-1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane (GAPD) with a molar content of 1%, 2%, and 5% to polyimide, but also tests both the physical and chemical properties of the modified film and the high frequency creeping dielectric strength. The results show that after adding GAPD, the overall functional groups of the material do not change, at the same time the transfer complexation of intermolecular charge and the absorption of ultraviolet light increase. There is no phase separation of the material and the structure is more regular and ordered, moreover the crystallinity increases. The overall dielectric constant and the dielectric loss tangent value show different trends, which means that the former value increases, while the latter value decreases. In addition, the resistivity of the surface and the volume increase, which is the same as the glass transition temperature. The mechanical properties are excellent, and the strength of bulk breakdown is mounting. The insulation strength of the high frequency creeping surface has been improved, which will increase with larger contents of GAPD. Among them, the relative change of the creeping flashover voltage is not obvious, and the creeping discharge life of G5 is 4.77 times that of G0. Further analysis shows that the silicon-oxygen chain links of the modified film forms a uniformly dispersed Si-O-Si network in the matrix through chemical bonds and charge transfer complexation. Once the outer matrix is destroyed, it will produce dispersed flocculent inorganic particles which have the role of protecting the inner material and improving the performance of the material. Combined with the ultraviolet light energy absorption, the increase of deep traps, the reduction of dielectric loss, and the improvement of thermodynamic performance, can better improve the high-frequency creeping insulation strength of polyimide film and its potential application value.

Conceiving planar magnetic components for power electronic converters is very constraining, especially in the case of prototype development. Indeed, such making requires skills, specific appliances as well as human time for setting up the machine tools and the fabrication process. With the emergence of Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab), conceiving of planar copper foil prototypes becomes more feasible in a shortened time process for engineers and researchers. This paper presents a methodology and process for conceiving power planar transformers with the help of machines and tools that can be found in the usual FabLab.

This paper proposes a method for synchronizing a grid inverter with the voltage of an on-board high-frequency power grid. The described synchronization method belongs to the adaptive methods, which use fuzzy logic in the process of estimating the fundamental component of the voltage. The synchronization system has been tuned to achieve the primary goal of achieving synchronization in the shortest possible time. This is to allow for the efficient energy fed from photovoltaic sources into the on-board grid at 400 Hz. The proposed method was implemented in the field programmable gate array (FPGA) based power converter controller and static and dynamic tests for harmonic, interharmonic and subharmonic voltage disturbances were performed. Dynamic tests for phase jump, frequency jump and sag of the on-board voltage were also performed. To evaluate the effectiveness of synchronization with high-frequency voltage, the grid current control system in the grid tied inverter was elaborated. Proper current waveforms at the perturbed voltage were recorded while identifying the effectiveness of power ripple suppression. The results obtained were compared with the enhanced phase locked loop (EPLL) synchronization method. Satisfactory test results confirmed the suitability of the proposed method in systems coupling the photovoltaic source to the on-board high-frequency power grid.

AbstractThere is a continuing debate concerning “adjustments” to heart period variability [i.e., heart rate variability (HRV)] for the heart period [i.e., increases inter-beat-intervals (IBI)]. To date, such arguments have not seriously considered the impact a demographic variable, such as gender, can have on the association between HRV and the heart period. A prior meta-analysis showed women to have greater HRV compared to men despite having shorter IBI and higher heart rate (HR). Thus, it is plausible that men and women differ in the association between HRV and HR/IBI. Thus, the present study investigates the potential moderating effect of gender on the association between HRV and indices of cardiac chronotropy, including both HR and IBI. Data from 633 participants (339 women) were available for analysis. Cardiac measures were assessed during a 5-min baseline-resting period. HRV measures included the standard deviation of inter-beat-intervals, root mean square of successive differences, and autoregressive high frequency power. Moderation analyses showed gender significantly moderated the association between all HRV variables and both HR and IBI (each p < 0.05). However, results were not consistent when using recently recommended HRV variables “adjusted” for IBI. Overall, the current investigation provides data illustrating a differential association between HRV and the heart period based on gender. Substantial neurophysiological evidence support the current findings; women show greater sensitivity to acetylcholine compared to men. If women show greater sensitivity to acetylcholine, and acetylcholine increases HRV and the heart period, then the association between HRV and the heart period indeed should be stronger in women compared to men. Taken together, these data suggest that routine “adjustments” to HRV for the heart period are unjustified and problematic at best. As it relates to the application of future HRV research, it is imperative that researchers continue to consider the potential impact of gender.

Abstract The rapid development of the high frequency power conversion techniques makes great demands on the methods that can reduce the execution time of the program effectively. This paper is aiming at reducing the execution time of the program in several aspects such as sampling, complex expressions, and so on. As one of the most widely applied methods, reducing the execution time of the program at the cost of the memory space is adopted in this paper. Furthermore, in order to confirm the feasibility and superiority of programs that are proposed in this paper, they are compared with other programs that can realize the same function in terms of the execution time.
