In light of various mechanisms of globalization, the increased mobility of life today has led to an increased ability to dwell in multiple places. Second homes or transitory dwellings are the result of this movement and exemplify our desire to dwell in multiple places. An essential motive to use and purchase a transitory dwelling is the landscape. Thus this thesis examines the importance of transitory dwellings, primarily investigating their relationship with the New Zealand landscape. The first section explores the place of home in the landscape. Also explored in this section is the relationship between the primary home and transitory dwellings. Discovered here is importance of transitory dwellings for concepts of identity and sense of place. The second section considers the importance of the landscape, both within the discipline of architecture and within a New Zealand context. The significance of the New Zealand landscape is discussed as it has become a symbol of our culture. The third section consists of case study analysis based of representations of traditional and contemporary transitory dwellings in New Zealand. The case studies illustrate the significance of place or site as playing an equal part in defining the importance of transitory dwellings. Within the final section the focus shifts accordingly to my own design work which has been driven by the research objective to examine the strong connection between landscape and transitory dwelling within a New Zealand context. What resulted was a design that interacts with the landscape in several ways. The design enters into the land, hovers slightly above, and appears to dramatically release itself from it. The construction of the platform, either by subtracting or adding, creates new solid grounds in continuation of the natural topography. Thus the new architecture claims territory over the landscape while still working in harmony with it.

Ativishadi churna is a traditional classical formulation pioneered by the science of Ayurveda. The very first reference regarding the formulation was documented in the Charka Samhita under title Ativishadi Yoga. The main indication of this formulation is to cure diarrhoea due to pitta dosha vitiation. It contains an equal part of powdered and dried Ativisha roots, Kutaj bark and Indrayava (dried Kutaj seeds). The polyherbal formulations comprise a wide range of bioactive compounds and the standardization of such formulations is a great concern these days. Hence, the present study evolves around standardizing Ativishadi Churna, for this purpose physicochemical parameters were performed of individual drugs by keeping the values of API as a standard. A complete pharmacognostic profile of ingredients has been validated to authenticate plant materials and to confirm the absence of any adulterants or impurities in the formulation. The preliminary phytochemical tests, Pharmacognostic and phytochemical standardization of the formulation were performed as a part of an SOP development. The formulation besides has been proven to possess antimicrobial properties against pathogens responsible for common infectious diseases in humans. The recent concern lies in the fact that some traditional medicines have been claimed to possess heavy metals. For this purpose, the heavy metal content has also been determined which shows that the formulation is devoid of heavy metals that may cause toxicity. The pharmacognostic and phytochemical study of this formulation would be very important for establishing standards in the future.

The complexity of most primary immunodeficiencies together with the increasingly complicated treatment regimens require a working partnership between the patient, their families, and the medical team. As a woman in medicine in general, and in clinical immunology and allergy in particular, I find it very important to work as a respected, valued, and equal part of a team, with a dedicated contribution to improve patient care and partake in research. Equally important is having the safety of a balanced family life and physical/mental health and wellness. I find myself very lucky at this point in my life, being part of a great physician team and having full support from my spouse

The exclusion of women is at the heart of the modern political order, despite the gradual recognition of formal equality between men and women in the exercise of political rights. The evolution of the political culture has nevertheless allowed the gradual access of women to power. Yet in the case of Madagascar, gender consideration is not limited to the integration of women in power, but several challenges lie ahead for the country in terms of women's rights. Women parliamentarians through their roles can advocate for women's rights. But the question is how these women parliamentarians advocate for women’s development rights do?Women's development requires respect for their rights, and women parliamentarians, when designing and passing laws, have the opportunity to fight for women's rights, which generally boil down to the right to health, safety and work. The aim is therefore to highlight the capacity of women parliamentarians to establish a rule of law that allows women to develop. Women's participation in the proposals and discussions of laws can play an equal part in promoting women's rights and women's development.

Vaginismus is a hidden problem because it is not discussed enough among professionals or inside the family. Consequently, the treatment of this problem is done secretly and by people who are not professionals, not to mention that they do not know what vaginismus really is. Vaginismus causes a woman’s pelvic floor muscles to contract at the attempt of vaginal penetration, making the vagina narrower and tighter. These muscle spasms are involuntary, and women with vaginismus often have trouble with any type of vaginal penetration, such as vaginal intercourse, tampon insertion, and gynecological exams. Penetration, when possible, is usually quite painful and causes great anxiety. For some women, intercourse is impossible. We present series of three cases treated in our Institute after a long-time treatment by others. All of them came et our Institute after a long period of time seeking alternative help and hiding the problem. Much work needs to be done on the sex education of the population in order to make them aware that they can discuss sexual problems freely. Physicians and other health personnel should also include a sexual history as an equal part of the medical examination.

This chapter tackles Zionism as a modern manifestation of nationalism that included religion as an essential component of national identity. Positing from a feminist perspective that national identity is synonymous with masculinity, the author searches for the women's place in the Zionist movement, particularly through the prism of military service. The Israeli army had a major role in the creation of a Zionist national ethos, and the concept of a people's army, where women should be equal participants shaped the country as the only western democracy that conscripted women. With the establishment of the state, conscription to the IDF was made mandatory for both men and women. However, women's conscription met bitter opposition from religious Orthodox circles. This chapter analyzes how orthodox women were political pawns in the hands of religious leaders. The author claims that they were robbed of their right to choose military service and as such to be an equal part of Israel's diverse society.

The study was conducted to investigatethe effect of L-Carnitine supplementation in Tris-eggyolk (TEY) diluents to optimize the quality of Pasundan bull liquid semen. Semen samples were collected from three Pasundan bulls (6 – 7 years old)usinganartificial vagina. Semen samples were evaluated macroscopically and microscopically, semen having ≥70% progressive motility, ≥500×106ml-1 sperm concentration and ≤ 20% sperm abnormalities were divided into 5 equal part. Each part wasdiluted with TEYand supplemented with0 mM(control), 1 mM, 2 mM, 3 mM and 4 mM L-Carnitine. Liquidsemen was storedat5°C.Sperm motility was evaluated every 12 h objectively using Computer Asissted Sperm Analysis (CASA) until progressive motilityreached 40%. The best diluent was demonstratedby progressive motility (PM)by TEY supplemented with 1 mM L-Carnitine(43.08±0.49%) that remained up to 108 h compared tothecontrol group (43.63±0.70%) that remained up to 72 h (P<0.05). In conclusion, 1 mM L-Carnitine in TEY was the best concentration for preservation of Pasundan bull semen stored in the liquid form.

From the practice of developed countries, countries with higher patent applications and PCT patent applications (such as the United States, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, etc.) have relatively higher outward foreign direct investment, and the actual data of provinces in China also show that with the improvement of the patent level in various provinces and cities, the intensity of outward foreign direct investment in each province and city has also increased. At present, there are relatively few research data and the research method is relatively single. Therefore, collecting panel data on China’s 31 provinces from 2003 to 2016, this paper conducts an empirical analysis on the influence of patent level on outward foreign direct investment via analytical method of equal part linear regression and Grey Computing. By comparing analysis results with the model and the results with conventional linear regression model, the difference of different regression models is observed. Furthermore, the impact of China’s patent level on China’s inter-provincial outward foreign direct investment is further analyzed.

To explore the learning effect of mainland students taught by Taiwan professors, this paper collects data through questionnaires and uses the multiple equal part linear regression to analyse the data. This paper explores the influence caused by factors such as the position of the images and the size or density of the word in the textbooks, which is in traditional Chinese character, used by professors from Taiwan. And other factors like the interest of students to the course and the motivation of the course selection are also analysed in this paper. Research results show that: all the typesetting factors and the motivation of the course selection have a great influence on students with poor learning performance. And the interest to the course also has a high impact on students with poor or moderate learning performance. Our research focuses on applying complex computing methods-including fuzzy computing and multiple equal part linear regression-to studies in education areas. It encourages more innovative interdisciplinary researches in the future.
