In this article, we introduce a new class of operators on the Cartesian product of vector lattices. We say that a bilinear operator T:E×F→W defined on the Cartesian product of vector lattices E and F and taking values in a vector lattice W is narrow if the partial operators Tx and Ty are narrow for all x∈E,y∈F. We prove that, for order-continuous Köthe–Banach spaces E and F and a Banach space X, the classes of narrow and weakly function narrow bilinear operators from E×F to X are coincident. Then, we prove that every order-to-norm continuous C-compact bilinear regular operator T is narrow. Finally, we show that a regular bilinear operator T from the Cartesian product E×F of vector lattices E and F with the principal projection property to an order continuous Banach lattice G is narrow if and only if |T| is.

In the current study, an analytical treatment is studied starting from the 2 + 1 -dimensional generalized Hirota-Satsuma-Ito (HSI) equation. Based on the equation, we first establish the evolution equation and obtain rational function solutions by means of the bilinear form with the help of the Hirota bilinear operator. Then, by the suggested method, the periodic, cross-kink wave solutions are also obtained. Also, the semi-inverse variational principle (SIVP) will be utilized for the generalized HSI equation. Two major cases were investigated from two different techniques. Moreover, the improved tan χ ξ method on the generalized Hirota-Satsuma-Ito equation is probed. The 3D, density, and contour graphs illustrating some instances of got solutions have been demonstrated from a selection of some suitable parameters. The existing conditions are handled to discuss the available got solutions. The current work is extensively utilized to report plenty of attractive physical phenomena in the areas of shallow water waves and so on.

Through symbolic computation with Maple, fifty-seven sets of rational wave solutions to the generalized Calogero-Bogoyavlenskii-Schiff equation are presented by employing the generalized bilinear operator when the parameter p = 2 . Via the three-dimensional plots and contour plots with the help of Maple, the dynamics of these solutions are described very well. These solutions have greatly enriched the exact solutions of the generalized Calogero-Bogoyavlenskii-Schiff equation on the existing literature. The result will be widely used to describe many nonlinear scientific phenomena.

AbstractWe present an immersed boundary method for the solution of elliptic interface problems with discontinuous coefficients which provides a second-order approximation of the solution. The proposed method can be categorised as an extended or enriched finite element method. In contrast to other extended FEM approaches, the new shape functions get projected in order to satisfy the Kronecker-delta property with respect to the interface. The resulting combination of projection and restriction was already derived in Höllbacher and Wittum (TBA, 2019a) for application to particulate flows. The crucial benefits are the preservation of the symmetry and positive definiteness of the continuous bilinear operator. Besides, no additional stabilisation terms are necessary. Furthermore, since our enrichment can be interpreted as adaptive mesh refinement, the standard integration schemes can be applied on the cut elements. Finally, small cut elements do not impair the condition of the scheme and we propose a simple procedure to ensure good conditioning independent of the location of the interface. The stability and convergence of the solution will be proven and the numerical tests demonstrate optimal order of convergence.

This paper deals with [Formula: see text]-soliton solution of the (2[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]1)-dimensional variable-coefficient Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation by virtue of the Hirota bilinear operator method. The obtained solutions for solving the current equation represent some localized waves including soliton, periodic and cross-kink solutions, which have been investigated by the approach of the bilinear method. Mainly, by choosing specific parameter constraints in the [Formula: see text]-soliton solutions, all cases of the periodic and cross-kink solutions can be captured from the one-, two- and three-soliton solutions. The obtained solutions are extended with numerical simulation to analyze graphically, which results into one-, two- and three-soliton solutions and also periodic and cross-kink solutions profiles. That will be extensively used to report many attractive physical phenomena in the fields of acoustics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, classical mechanics and so on.

Let X1,X2,X3 be Banach spaces of measurable functions in L0(R) and let m(ξ,η) be a locally integrable function in R2. We say that m∈BM(X1,X2,X3)(R) if Bm(f,g)(x)=∫R∫Rf^(ξ)g^(η)m(ξ,η)e2πi<ξ+η,x>dξdη, defined for f and g with compactly supported Fourier transform, extends to a bounded bilinear operator from X1×X2 to X3. In this paper we investigate some properties of the class BM(X1,X2,X3)(R) for general spaces which are invariant under translation, modulation, and dilation, analyzing also the particular case of r.i. Banach function spaces. We shall give some examples in this class and some procedures to generate new bilinear multipliers. We shall focus on the case m(ξ,η)=M(ξ-η) and find conditions for these classes to contain nonzero multipliers in terms of the Boyd indices for the spaces.

If \(m\geq p+1\geq 2\) (or \(m=p\geq 3\)), all  natural bilinear  operators \(A\) transforming pairs of couples of vector fields and \(p\)-forms on \(m\)-manifolds \(M\) into couples of vector fields and \(p\)-forms on \(M\) are described. It is observed that  any natural skew-symmetric bilinear operator \(A\) as above coincides with the generalized Courant bracket up to three (two, respectively) real constants.
