A Psychodrama Intervention to Loneliness Due to COVID-19

Loneliness as a psychological state is affective and cognitive discomfort or uneasiness from being or perceiving oneself to be alone or otherwise solitary. Since the beginning of the pandemic, people stayed at home, afraid of contracting COVID-19. As youths followed lectures via the internet for long hours without physical participation, they became more and more withdrawn and socially isolated. This study explores psychodrama as an intervention to reduce loneliness in university students. COVID-19 pandemic durations seemed to be caused loneliness for all people. The short-version of the ULCA loneliness scale was applied to 358 university students. 24 students were selected for the study based on their higher scores on the assessment. These students also accepted that COVID-19 negatively affected their loneliness state. The average age of participants was 21 years old, and no one was younger than 19 years old. Randomly they were divided into two groups as experimental and controlling with equal representation of number. The experimental group joined 15 weeks of psychodrama groups for 90 minutes each week. All sessions were held with via internet video platform meeting program. In psychodrama method of psychotherapy, clients enacted their concerns to achieve new insight about themselves and others. The psychodrama program started with introducing group participants and expression of why they are in the group to each other. The group was guided with an experienced group leader. With the techniques of psychodrama such as warmup, mirror, doubling, and role reversal, participants self-disclosed their current moods. K-square statistical analyses suggested that the group of university students who joined psychodrama overcame their loneliness. Education policy makers should bear in mind that today’s Covid-19 society suffers from psychological treatment deficits in the area of loneliness. Group action methods should be taken immediately. Group guidance, counseling, and drama in education and psychodrama can be useful for students to cope with problems resulting from of COVID-19. Youths truly need to share their suffering with professionals. Preventive guidance activities should be given importance in schools.

Psychological capabilities of neurodiagnostic complexes in career guidance counseling

INTERNET ADDICTION AMONG MADRASAH ALIYAH STUDENTS

<p><em>The entry of new technology, in this case the internet, in people's lives demands adaptation by various groups, including students. With the use of the internet by students, there will be changes in their lifestyle, which in turn can affect their activities at school. This study focused on the intensity of internet use by students at Madrasah Aliyah Al Islamiyah Depok City, which then has a tendency to internet addiction. This study uses interview techniques to the head of Madrasah, teachers, and students. Document studies are also used to view case reports related to internet use recorded by Guidance Counseling (BK) teachers. This study also used a questionnaire distributed online to 340 students of MA Al-Islamiyah Depok City. This study found that 14% of students access the internet for more than 9 hours, 29% of students feel uncomfortable if they are not connected to the internet, and 54% of respondents feel anxious if they run out of internet quota so they will immediately buy the quota. The impact of the intensity of internet use makes students lazy to do other activities, such as playing with peers, and forgetting about their duties and responsibilities, namely learning. In addition, even when studying in class, they still use cell phones for social media and listening to music.</em></p>

Implementation Of Individual Guidance Through Whatsapp Group To Increase Achievement And Learning Motivation Of Students Of Class VII SMP Negeri 3 Ngaglik Sleman 2020/2021

This study aims to increase the learning motivation of seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Ngaglik Sleman through "WhatsApp Group" in individual guidance. The population in this study was 369 students. The sample in this study was class VII SMP Negeri 3 Ngaglik Sleman totaling 128 which was divided into 3. The research method used in this study was Action research Guidance Counseling with the model developed by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart goes through four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research flow is carried out in two cycles. The results showed that the application of individual guidance through WhatsApp Group to the learning outcomes of Class VII students of SMP Negeri Ngaglik Sleman could increase. The average student evaluation results have exceeded the minimum value for each subject. As for the results after the students carried out mentoring activities for 3 cycles, as many as 5 students were in the very good category, and as many as 25 students were in a good category, and in the sufficient category as many as 2 students. Overall, the development of learning outcomes before being given action (pre-action) and after being given action for 3 cycles increased by 93.75%. Based on the results of the study showed that as much as 85% in the process of applying individual guidance through "WhatsApp group" on learning motivation can be used as an alternative in an effort to improve the process and learning outcomes of students.

Profile of self-awareness among junior high school students

The purpose of this study was to describe a profile of self-awareness among students in junior high school in the city of Tasikmalaya. Research grounded by the similarities in the tendency of the problems that occur about excessive anxiety among students. The data analysis technique in this study used inferential statistics with random sampling and a total population of 262 students. The results showed that the self-awareness of subject research was in the high category with an average of 75.47%. This shows that most of the subject research have achieved maximum self-awareness in several aspects and indicators, including the achievement of student self-awareness, namely having an understanding of strengths and weaknesses, being able to develop themselves for the desired achievement and have the confidence to voice their opinions. Agroforestry Development Strategy in West Halmahera Regency, North Maluku

The structure of agroforestry management in West Halmahera Regency was mostly managed modestly and the primary constituents were annual plants (Multi-Purpose Tree Species). The study aimed to 1) describe agroforestry patterns and systems, 2) identify and analyze internal and external factors whichwere determinants of agroforestry development attempts, and 3) formulate priority strategies to accelerate agroforestry development. The research was conducted from March to June 2021. The results showed that the agroforestry patterns applied by farmers were Agrisilviculture and Agrosilvopasturemodes. Furthermore, the results of the SWOT analysis showed that the alternative strategies which could be offered were 1) Socialization by relevant parties to encourage the community to enhance forestry plant cultivation, for the sake of soil and water conservation, and also as a business opportunity. In this regard, the community needed to be assisted with quality seeds, in addition to optimizing the use of available seeds on the community’s lands; 2) Increasing the intensity of the implementation of guidance, counseling, and assistance, taking into account the conditions and problems faced by farmers in the field; 3) Boosting the intensity of education and training to develop community insights and skills regarding good cropping systems, proper use of pesticides, pest and disease prevention in plants. The three alternative strategies offered are to overcome the weaknesses and deal with the threats experienced shortly agroforestry development efforts.

Islamic Guidance and Counseling in Developing Religious Practice Transgender

The research aims to describe the guidance counseling Islam in developing religious practice counselees (transgender), by using research libraries in the search for sources that are relevant to the research and using content analysis as a technique for analyzing sources that exist, thus generating appropriate conclusions. The results showed that the guidance and Islamic Guidance and Counseling in developing religious practice counselees (transgender) guided by the provisions contained in it, namely; carrying out the stages, obeying and applying existing principles, to evaluating the guidance and Islamic Guidance and Counseling itself, that way, Islamic Guidance and Counseling as a development medium will be able to realize religious practice and its impact on the counselee (transgender) concerned.

Online Lectures on Learning Achievement at Student of Guidance Counseling (Subject Personal Development Counselor) and Physical Education (Subject Sports Health)

Almost a year, Indonesia is in a situation that is quite complicated, due to the spread of covid-19 significantly in many areas, it is then compounded by the numbers died fairly high. Governments and health workers have always called people to always maintain a healthy lifestyle and clean, to avoid the spread of this virus. From its appearance to a pattern of adaptation that has been done many, covid-19 directly has affected and changed the system order of human life in all sectors, not least in the world of education. In this pandemic period, various factors emerged in their own way which greatly influenced the system and even the habit patterns of learning activities. After approximately 1 year running, online lecturing has become a habit that occurs in learning, so it also affects learning achievement. Therefore, this research will look at the extent to which the online lecture process carried out in the current year also affects the learning achievement of students of the BK Study Program and the Penjaskesrek Study Program, FKIP, Undana Kupang. The conclusions obtained: (1) There is a significant effect of online lectures on student achievement of Counseling Guidance students and (2) There is a significant effect of online lectures on student learning achievement of Penjaskesrek.

The impact of pandemic process on special education in Cyprus

In this paper, the education programs offered to students with special needs in the online distance education format during the Covid-19 pandemic period in TRNC and the online family guidance/counseling services offered to their families were evaluated from the perspective of the families. In the study, the data obtained follow a parallel course with other studies in the literature. In studies on the academic support provided by families for children and family participation in learning processes, the relation between family involvement at home and at school and academic success was revealed, which is also the case in this study. In addition, family involvement was determined as an essential predictor of the school success of students, and it was emphasized that increasing family participation would help education reach higher standards and students encounter alternative opportunities.

Survey of the triple-mentoring program for students at a religious medical school

Background Tzu Chi University in Taiwan offers a unique mentoring program. This program differs from others as it comprises triple mentorship, namely, faculty mentors, Tzu Cheng/Yi De (TC/YD; senior volunteers), and school counselors. This study aimed to survey the role functions of the mentors from the perspective of medical students. Methods The Role Functions of the Mentoring Program Scale (RFMPS) was developed on the basis of literature reviews and focus groups and it underwent exploratory factor analysis for internal consistency and reliability. RFMPS comprises four role functions, namely, mental, educational, career, and humanistic/moral guidance counseling. The survey was distributed to 171 medical students via an online network with two-month intervals and was analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance. Results The overall response rate was 64% (116/171). The mean scores of the four role functions in descending order belonged to faculty mentors, TC/YD, and school counselors. For humanistic/moral guidance, students had an equal preference for the faculty mentors and TC/YD over school counselors. As for educational, career, and mental guidance counseling, students preferred faculty mentors over TC/YD and school counselors. Faculty mentors provided students with the required guidance counseling for all the four role functions, especially educational guidance; TC/YD in particular offered prominent humanistic/moral guidance and career counseling; school counselors were less preferred but guided students in need. Conclusions Medical students value different role functions provided by faculty mentors, TC/YD, and school counselors. A diversified focus could be provided by the faculty mentors, particularly in educational, career, mental, and humanistic/moral counseling; TC/YD specialized in humanistic/moral guidance; and the school counselors carried out their role function only when needed. Humanistic/moral guidance is equally preferred to other types of guidance, which can be equally valuable in future mentoring programs.
