Körperliche Beschwerden sind bei Älteren weit verbreitet; diese sind bei Migranten bislang in Deutschland und international noch wenig untersucht. Unsere multizentrische Querschnittstudie erfasste körperliche Beschwerden bei Menschen im Alter zwischen 60 und 84 Jahren mit Wohnsitz in Stuttgart anhand der Kurzversion des Gießener Beschwerdebogens (GBB-24). In Deutschland wurden 648 Personen untersucht, davon 13.4 % (n = 87) nicht in Deutschland geborene. Die Geschlechterverteilung war bei Migranten und Nichtmigranten gleich; der sozioökonomische Status lag bei den Migranten etwas niedriger: 8.0 % (n = 7) der Migranten und 2.5 % (n = 14) der Nichtmigranten verfügten über höchstens vier Jahre Schulbildung; 12.6 % (n = 11) der Migranten und 8.2 % (n = 46) der Nichtmigranten hatten ein monatliches Haushaltsnettoeinkommen von unter 1000€; 26.4 % der Migranten und 38.1 % (n = 214) der Nichtmigranten verfügten über mehr als 2000€ monatlich. Somatische Beschwerden lagen bei den Migranten bei 65.5 % (n = 57) und bei den Nichtmigranten bei 55.8 % (n = 313). Frauen wiesen häufiger somatische Beschwerden auf (61.8 %) als Männer (51.8 %). Mit steigendem Alter nahmen somatische Beschwerden zu. Mit Ausnahme der Altersgruppe der 70–74-Jährigen konnte kein signifikanter Unterschied zwischen Migranten und Nichtmigranten hinsichtlich der Häufigkeit körperlicher Beschwerden gezeigt werden. Ausblick: Es werden dringend bevölkerungsrepräsentative Studien zu körperlichen Beschwerden bei Migranten benötigt.

Background: This study is cross-sectional, observational and comparative study, at Index Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Indore, Madhya Pradesh from July 2017 to July 2019 with sample size 100 placentae. Method: The placenta received was evaluated blinded of maternal pregnancy outcome. The pattern of morphology was evaluated both qualitatively (type of lesion) and quantitatively (number of lesions). Result: In Present study 79% of the deliveries were term deliveries and 21% were preterm deliveries. On placental macroscopy, placenta weight was significantly low among the neonates of preterm deliveries (370.00±60.49) as compared to term deliveries (440.89±55.22). Preterm placenta had higher number of abnormal placental lesion compared to term pregnancies. Conclusion: The uteroplacental insufficiency defined as placental infarct, fibrosis of chorionic villi, thickening of blood vessels, and poor vascularity of chorionic villi. Placental histopathological lesions are strongly associated with maternal under perfusion and uteroplacental insufficiency. These are the reasons for preterm birth. Thus, knowledge of the etiological factor can be use to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortility. Keywords: Placenta, Term & Preterm.

Background: Pancytopenia is diagnosed when there is a reduction in all three hematopoietic cell lines. Till date there is limited number of studies on the frequency of various causes of pancytopenia. Of these some have been reported from the Indian subcontinent. There appears to be a changing spectrum of pancytopenia over the past two decades. The objective was to study the etiopathological spectrum of adult patients with pancytopenia over a period of one and half year. Methods: The Prospective and retrospective observational study was conducted in the Department of Family Medicine, Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre, New Delhi.  A total of 120 Patients were included in the study. All patients gave their consent to take part in the study and were subjected to a questionnaire regarding symptoms, past relevant history, lifestyle and detailed clinical examination and investigations as mentioned in materials and methods. Results: Six broad diagnostic groups could be identified in adults with pancytopenia. Megaloblastic anemia (D1) was the largest group comprising 57.5% of all patients. 11.7% of patients with pancytopenia were diagnosed as Aplastic anemia (D2).11.7% of patients with pancytopenia were diagnosed as leukemia/lymphoma (D3) such as lymphoma (1), metastatic anaplastic carcinoma (1), acute leukemia (11), and metastatic gastric carcinoma (1). 15% of patients with pancytopenia were diagnosed with infections (D4) such as complicated malaria cases (7), HIV (5), disseminated tuberculosis (4), viral (2). We also encountered (D5) 0.8% was Myelophthisis/Storage disorder as myelodysplastic syndrome (1) and 3.3% were other (D6) as reactive marrow (4). Conclusion: Pancytopenia is not a disease itself. It is a hematological feature of varying etiology with slight male preponderance. Megaloblastic anemia along with mixed nutritional anemia is leading cause of pancytopenia in India followed by infections being second and aplastic anemia and acute leukemia being third common causes. All patient coming to Index Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Indore operated in Department of Ophthalmology for traumatic cataract due to various injuries Result: Of the 37 patients, 19 patients (51%) showed corneal/ corneal sclera injury. 10 cases had injury to iris in the form of spincter tear, traumatic mydriasis, iris incarceration, floppy iris, posterior and anterior synechiae. Subluxation of lens was seen in 2 cases and Dislocation of lens was in 1 cases. 3 cases had corneal opacity. Old retinal detachment was seen in 1 (3%) case. Out of 30 cases who had associated ocular injuries, 3 cases had vision of HM, 07 cases had vision of CF-ctf – CF-3’, 01 cases had vision of 5/60, 07 cases had vision of 6/60-6/36, 03 cases had vision of 6/24-6/18, 09 cases had vision of 6/12-6/6. Out of 7 cases without associated in injury, 2 cases had vision of 6/24-6/18, 05 cases had vision of 6/12-6/6. Conclusion: Corneal scarring obstructing the visual axis as well as by inducing irregular astigmatism formed an important cause of poor visual outcome in significant number of cases. Irreversible posterior segment damage lead to impaired vision case. The final visual outcome showed good result however the final visual outcome depends upon the extent of associated ocular injuries. Effective Intervention and management are the key points in preventing monocular blindness due to traumatic cataract. Keywords: Ocular, Tissues, Traumatic, Cataract & Surgery.

Structure and physiognomy of mangrove strongly influenced by the zonation that occurred in the area of mangroves growth. The differences of zona growth will effect  to differences in the structure and composition of vegetation. There are three zones in the mangrove area, which is caused by the difference of flooding which also resulted in the difference to the salinity. The differences of growth zone will performed to the type vegetation performance (Physiognomy). This study is aims to prove the mangrove’s physiognomy that taken in the coastal area of Rempang Cate  Batam, on March 2014 to June 2014. This study was a survey with data collection using a vertical transect plots 100 m. Based on the research that has been done obtained difference vegetation physiognomy stands for every level of growth in each zone growth. Proximally found 13 species of mangroves in 8 families. The results of the analysis of the vegetation on the trees growth level are, Ceriops decandra have the greatest significance important value 167.55% on sapling (juvenille ) level is dominated by Rhizophora apiculata 120%, and seedling growth level dominated by Rhizophora apiculata  186.80%. Keywords: Structure and physiognomy, mangrove zonation
