Abstract The construction of the «Siberian Photon Ring Source», the SKIF synchrotron, in Novosibirsk is underway. At the first stage, six research workstations will be created, most of the devices of which work in a high vacuum. Synchrotron radiation is generated by superconducting Wigglers for two stations. The total radiation power is approaching 49 kW, and the power density on the axis is 92 kW/mrad2. The high energy density of the beam creates quite difficult conditions for the thermal management of optical elements at the workstations. The article presents specific requirements for cooling devices, an overview of the used and promising cooling systems is made, an example of calculating the temperature, stress and strain distribution in a diamond filter with a thickness of 300 microns using the ANSYS Fluent software package is given.

This article investigates the pulsating flow of a compressible two-phase bubble of viscous fluid contained in an elastic orthotropicle direct axis tube. In this work, one-dimensional linear equations have been used. It is assumed that the tube is rigidly attached to the certain environment. In the case of finite length the pressure is applied at the end of its faces. In the limited process, relations obtained for a very long tube. Such a description, in a sense generalizes and strengthens the work of this type. In the numerical experiment a semi-infinite tube with flowing water containing small amount of air bubbles is considered. The influence of volume fraction of bubbles on wave characteristics is determined.

Symmetric and anti-symmetric trapped modes in a cylindrical tube with a segment of higher density are studied. The problem is reduced to an eigenvalue problem of the spatial Helmholtz equation subject to vanishing Dirichlet boundary condition in the cylindrical coordinate system. Through the domain decomposition method and matching technique, multiple frequency parameters are determined by solving the characteristic equation, and the corresponding n-fold periodic trapped modes can be constructed. It is found that in addition to the fundamental mode, the second- and higher-order trapped modes exist, which depend on the density ratio and length of the inhomogeneity. The local inhomogeneity leads to a decrease of the cutoff frequencies of the homogeneous tube and the corresponding vibration mode is localized near the inhomogeneous segment.
