Taking on the responsibilities of a mentor teacher is not an innate skill and it is imperative that they receive professional support to develop their skills. Although several studies have made it possible to identify elements to be considered in the selection of mentors or in the development of training courses intended for them, they do not allow us to define in depth the nature of the experience lived by these teachers and consequently, understand the influence of this experience on the development of their competence. The objective of this research was to document the experience of mentors and to study the obstacles and levers that can facilitate the development of their competence trought Le Boterf’s agir compétent model.

The study of systems and complexity has taken an intriguing route in the last hundred years, involved some of the most fascinating scientists, synthesised new fields of research and found novel applications requiring a fresh and revolutionary approach. Computational Cybernetics is a pragmatic response for the needs of engineering and social systems that integrates Cybernetics with Computational Intelligence. The IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics (IEEE ICCC) has been successfully promoting the open-minded but scientifically sound integration of advanced mathematical and systems engineering methods in multidisciplinary domains since 2003. This special issue is a selection of the most characteristic and instructive papers from the previous IEEE ICCC conference, held in the summer of 2006 in Tallinn, Estonia. All of the papers in this issue represent vividly the broad scope and integrating nature of Computational Cybernetics. As Tar et al. notes in the first paper, a century-old conjecture of Hilbert solved fifty years ago can help us build new solutions in the 21st century in the field of nonlinear system control. In the same way each of the following papers represent a bridge between analogies from nature, computational methods and challenging multidisciplinary problems – helping us to convey our message to the professional audience of this journal. The special issue editors would like to thank the authors of the papers in this issue, the participants of the IEEE ICCC conferences for contributing to its stimulating, multidisciplinary environment and the professional support of the Journal editors and their staff.

The study aims to detecting the mistakes of the tenth- grade student's interpretation verbal expressions into algebraic equations and quantities and vice versa, identify and analyze common students’ mistakes. The researcher used the descriptive approach and applied the study to a sample that formed of (100) female students of the tenth grade from Fatima Bint Al Khattab Secondary School, that affiliated to the Directorate of Education for First Zarqa District. A test was prepared - in two models, each model included 3 paragraphs - in phrasing of algebraic equations and quantities and vice versa into verbal expressions and vice versa, and it was applied to two divisions of the tenth- grade. The results have indicated to a classification of students' most common mistakes at the level of all test items, which were arranged in descending order: Common mistakes in interpretation the verbal phrases of addition, subtraction or multiplication into algebraic symbols: repeated by (39%) within the six test paragraphs, followed by mistakes in mathematical concepts, repeated by (29%), followed by the mistake: Confusion between an equation and an algebraic expression, repeated by (25%). The study also found, through checking the percentages of common mistakes, that the students were unimproved in an interpretation the verbal formulation within a story or phrase into algebraic symbols, or formulating equations or algebraic expressions in a verbal phrase, in a story or a life’s situation. In light of the results, several recommendations were suggested, the most important were as following: Application and execution of the teachers for the teaching strategy by using common students’ mistakes, and the committees based on curriculum development and design should take into account the selection of appropriate words for each age group, when phrasing verbal mistakes, and to ensure that they are linguistically and orthographically correct. Based on the development and design of curricula, choosing appropriate words for each age group, when formulating verbal mistakes, and ensuring that they are linguistically and orthographically correct. It was also proposed to hold training courses for teachers, in order to train them on the use of the developed programs to address common students' mistakes in mathematics, such as Drive program and Roll Space program.

This research aims to know the methods of media treatment of political issues in investigative television programs, based on the survey method, and the method of analyzing the content of a sample of the episodes of the investigative television program (what is hidden) on the screen of Al- Jazeera. The results revealed that the category of specialized experts ranked first Among the sources that rely on these programs (41.9%), the category of documents and official books came in second place (18%), and the category of eyewitness came from people who give information about the events that witnessed the third place (14.5%). The results of the analysis also showed that the highest percentage of meanings and ideas included in the program's episodes (what is hidden is greater), meanings that involve the values of violence (47.4%), while the meanings of international terrorism (25%), and the meanings of the conflict ranked Third (11.5%). The results of the research showed a clear bias to one party at the expense of the other during the presentation of political issues, and in the light of the findings of the research the researcher has made a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: Increasing the effectiveness of investigative television programs, by increasing the time allocated to them. Supporting the staff working in these programs financially and morally, as well as allowing them to participate in training courses organized by Arab and international networks specialized in investigative journalism. Always ensure that the content of these programs is far from bias and imbalance, whether in the presentation of information or in the selection of personalities and sources, and that they have the following features: Presentation of divergent views (opinion and other opinion) within the framework of objectivity and address issues from different angles.

The objective of the study was to survey the opinion of the operators of different types agricultural of farms (cattle, pig, mixed, and crop farms) situated in the regions of Mazowsze and Podlasie regarding the issue of innovations in agriculture. The aim of the study was to learn about the sources of information on innovations in agriculture and about the demand for agricultural counseling. Purposeful selection of the sample was used and farmers’ opinions were surveyed by the query method. Pro-innovative attitudes were shown by the majority of the owners of cattle and crop farms. The owners of all types of farms usually drew upon the following sources of information: ODR (Agricultural Advisory Centres) extension officers, technical journals, training courses, internet and television. Livestock farms (cattle and pig farms) showed a greater demand for extension services that did mixed production farms. Of the extension services present, consulting by ODR’s workers and by agricultural agencies were in the greatest demand.

This study aim to identify the roles of student’s parents’ councils, and examine the possibility of developing them by reviewing international experiences in this field, and benefiting from the outputs of the fourth industrial revolution in the education sector. The study also focus on the actual role of parents’ councils in schools in the Sultanate, and the efforts made to achieve partnership with society, and developing the regulations governing these councils, to keep pace with global scientific developments which depend on granting broad powers to these councils in order to be able to perform their work more effectively and with broader independence, and one of the most prominent recommendations that came out of this study is the need to carefully select the members of parents councils according to A specific mechanism that ensures the selection of the active members in society, developing the roles of parents’ councils by expanding the powers granted to them, increasing the awareness of school staff, and making the council members aware of the importance of partnership in the areas of joint cooperation between them, which include (vision, goals, planning, managing financial resources, etc.), and the necessity of holding programs And training courses for members of student parents’ councils, and school staff, on the requirements for developing the roles of these councils in the light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and developing programs and methods for teacher preparation in higher education institutions, in line with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the Ministry of Education adopting a national strategy aimed at Designing educational and training programs that are compatible with the nature of the next stage, and the needs of the labor market in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
