Communication and delegation are two important and parts of the leadership function. However, it is still a matter of debate whether leaders can delegate responsibility for communication, especially policy information, to those under their authority. Various opinions state that there is no prohibition for leaders to delegate their responsibilities because this is the leader's prerogative. This study aims to identify whether leadership should or should not delegate communication. The method used in this study was Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research by topic area phenomenon of interest, with specific relevant research questions. The results showed that leaders can delegate communication but it is highly dependent on the type, style, and approach of leadership on the table at that time. Such a leadership style or approach will automatically influence the style and approach of communication and delegation.

This literature review discusses the objectives, importance and limitations of the experimental models and evaluation criteria used in preliminary studies of the biological compatibility of endodontic materials. It was ascertained that this is an important stage in determining the biocompatibility of materials and one which, within certain limits, allows the reaction of tissues directly involved in endodontic treatment to be predicted. However, the methodology used by these studies has not been standardized. The type of tissues investigated, the experimental periods observed and the methods used to analyze inflammatory response are considered fundamental requirements for designing experiments and understanding their results.

The Holy Quran ontology models are gaining popularity among researchers due to people’s demands in understanding this divine book. Due to this, there are many studies and research have been conducted in this area to facilitate people’s understanding of the Quran. The Quran knowledge is represented conforming to an ontology within a system framework. This also includes various concepts that are interrelated with the others. From the literature, however, the existing Quranic ontology models do not cover all concepts in the Quran, which limit them to domains such as place nouns, themes, pronouns, antonyms and Islamic knowledge in the Quran. Thus, this research aims to identify relevant research works from various electronic data sources using systematic literature review (SLR) method to provide a comprehensive review of this area. This paper presents a systematic review of the literature related to the existing ontology models, where it leads to disseminating the correct knowledge of the Quran using semantic technologies.

PurposeCloud manufacturing (CMfg) is a networked manufacturing mode that promotes the agile, service-oriented, green and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry. Although some scholars have reviewed related studies of CMfg from multiple perspectives, these reviews are not fully systematic or well justified and fail to fully reveal the key characteristics in the development process of CMfg. The purpose of this paper is to systematically review the relevant research on CMfg via identification of key characteristics of definition, architecture, supporting technology and application of CMfg to provide critical information in decision support for the innovation and development of CMfg.Design/methodology/approachThis study systematically reviews the relevant research on CMfg across theoretical methods to technical applications by integrating quantitative and qualitative methods. Word cloud method is used to quantitatively analyse the structure and feature of different definitions of CMfg. The principle of System Science is used to explore the basic components and functions of various CMfg architectures and their common and differing characteristics. A multi-level technology framework is developed to explore the development status of CMfg supporting technologies. A multi-stage application classification is proposed to reveal the application status of CMfg.FindingsThrough literature review, this study found that CMfg architecture is currently dominated by general architectures and lacks architectures that fit the actual enterprise characteristics; CMfg supporting technology is mature in the traditional cloud computing-based technology, but it is still weak in the development of virtualization and servitization technology, service scheduling technology; CMfg application is still in the initial stage and still lacks a relatively complete system application. By analysing the development status of CMfg, this study also identified potential research directions of CMfg in information management, service composition and evaluation, system application and sustainable development and other aspects.Research limitations/implicationsThis paper predominantly focuses on journal articles and some key conference papers published in English and Chinese. Chinese articles account for more than half of the total. The reason is that CMfg was proposed by the Chinese and CMfg is suitable for the development of China's manufacturing industry because of China's intelligent manufacturing environment. It is believed that this research has reached a reliable comprehensiveness that can help scholars and practitioners establish new research directions and evaluate their work in CMfg.Originality/valuePrior literature reviews ignore the identification and analysis of key feature identification for the current development of CMfg, including common and unique feature identification of different CMfg architectures and functions, multi-layer analysis and interpretation of CMfg technology and different stage analysis of CMfg applications. This study addresses these limitations and provides a comprehensive literature review.

Public Private Partnerships (PPP) is widely applied in worldwide infrastructure development. The performance of the PPP project company should be under monitoring of the public sector to ensure that the reasonable interests of the public users are not sacrificed. In this regard, a key issue is the qualitative and quantitative measurement of the services provided by the project company. This paper introduces the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) based excellence model, which has been popularly used in enterprise management, into the PPP projects. Firstly, a comprehensive literature review is conducted, that, an EFQM Model is introduced and its advantages for PPP projects are analyzed. Then, the performance evaluation criteria are established and the performance indicators are identified for PPP projects based on literature review. Finally, a performance evaluation model for PPP projects in general is formulated based on the EFQM model.

Corn is one of the most cultivated cereals in the world and is used for various purposes and its production is linked to its economic importance, requiring the use of means and methods that enable the increase of its production and one of them is the correction of the ground. The objective of this work is to carry out a brief literature review on the application technology in the use of correctives in the corn crop, highlighting the benefits of its use and the need for its use in the crop. The present study was developed based on a literature review and relevant research on the technology of application of correctives in corn crop, highlighting the benefits of its use and the need for its use in corn crop. Agriculture went through a long development, improving its production system and application technology came with one of the alternatives helping to maintain and improve soil quality, enabling the application of correctives in the soil with greater efficiency. The need for soil correction has to do with the relationship between the plant and the soil, highlighting the acidity, which in many cases is a problem for the cultivation of crops. The use of correctives to correct soil acidity brings many benefits to the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil, reduces fertilizer losses caused by leaching, provides calcium and magnesium to the soil adjusting the soil profile so that plants can benefit from available nutrients. Thus, application technology is essential for the corn crop and for the entire production system, even more in the application of correctives, as acidity is one of the causes of yield limitations. Thus, application technology favors soil correction, ensuring the benefits provided by proper application, becoming a means of increasing crop productivity and corn as well, due to the various productive aspects provided by the correct application in the soil.
