Improving occupant's satisfaction represents an important target oriented both towards the increment of productivity and towards the reduction of operational costs related to health and safety of employees. These considerations are the bases of an interdisciplinary cross-country survey on the human-building interaction in office buildings. The proposed study presents findings from the survey conducted at the University of Calabria (Italy). In particular, both demographic characteristics of the sample and data regarding comfort, satisfaction, and productivity are processed and investigated. Descriptive statistical analysis is developed with the aim of highlighting the influence of indoor comfort conditions on the perceived productivity of employees. Particular attention is dedicated to the study of gender-related differences in internal environment perception. Indoor temperature, quality of indoor air, and acoustics are the most selected causes of dissatisfaction and low perceived productivity both for women and men. The responses regarding satisfaction level and perceived productivity are also combined by defining a quantitative indicator named Office Productivity and Satisfaction index (OPSi) that is the ratio between the perceived productivity and the satisfaction level of the considered comfort condition. Causes of discomfort are also analyzed and demonstrated gender-related differences in workplaces quality evaluation.

This study aimed to determine the effect of diluent in maintaining the quality of bull sperm during freezing and physiological processes of bull sperm that occur during freezing. This research was conducted by observing samples of frozen bull sperm that uses diluents, as well as through the assessment of data research with assessment parameters such as macroscopic and microscopic assessment of cattle semen. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the ratings fresh semen is done in two ways, namely macroscopically and microscopically. Grossly obtained volume of average ejaculate of 6 ml with a beige color and acidity levels on average 5.8. The concentration used is 'medium' which is a category of consistency and decent for further processing until the stage of freezing to rethawing. Microscopic assessment that includes an average frequency of motility in the fourth shelter is 70% with 3+ mass motility, percentage of live of fresh semen was obtained in this study was 80%. This value is the percentage of normal life. Based on these results it was concluded that the addition of diluents can reduce the rate of loss of quality (motility and percentage of survival) of bull sperm during the stages of preservation. Andromed diluent best in reducing the rate of decline in the quality of bull sperm during the stages of preservation

The research objective is to assess physical and sensory quality of dried cocoa beans producedin Bulukumba, Soppeng, and East Luwu Regions. The research was conducted by taking samples ofcocoa directly from farmers of those three districts, as the cocoa producer regions in South SulawesiProvince. The physical quality of the samples was examined in accordance with SNI 2323-2008 and forsensory testing, the samples were sent to Puslitkoka, Jember for flavor and aroma. Data analysis wascarried out using descriptive statistical analysis. The result shows that the beans from those three regionsdo not meet the standard of SNI 2323-2008 for water content, slaty beans, level of foreign objects andinsects, while the level of free fatty acid ranges from 1.02 – 1.65%. Total fat content of cocoa beans fromBulukumba region, higher than the others, is 35.74% and the pH level for all samples are neutral (6.47 –6.78). The result of sensory test shows that cocoa beans from Bulukumba region have astringent flavor, those from Soppeng region have very niceflowery flavor, and those from East Luwu shows half-fermentedcocoa beans and chocolate medium. Keywords: cocoa beans, physical quality, aroma, flavor

This study aims to determine the geometric quality of lathe machining product and what causes the low geometric quality of the lathe machining practices. This research is a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. Data were obtained by documentation and direct observation of the studied object, and then were processed using descriptive statistical analysis. Results show that the average value of the geometric quality of lathe machining products was relatively low, amounted to 67.14. The aspects that caused deficiencies and low geometric quality are, among others, incorrect spindle speed, incorrect feeds, incorrect depth of cuts, improper use of measuring tools, and lack of awareness ofthe Occupational Safety and Health equipment.

There are various components such as diverse products and services offered to the theme park visitors as an ‘all-inclusive theme park experience’. The necessities in satisfying the needs of theme park visitors are crucial in retaining and attracting visitors to the park. The absence of research in visitor perceived experience at the Indonesian theme park has led this study to examine the profiles and satisfaction level of visitors at the theme park. This study aims to examine the profiles and factors that contributed to visitor satisfaction at JungeLand Adventure Theme Park, Indonesia. A total of 384 questionnaires were distributed to previous visitors at JungeLand Adventure Theme Park using ‘Google Forms’ between August to October 2020. The questionnaire was meant to assess the demographic profiles and the factors influencing the satisfaction level of the theme park visitors. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to examine the satisfaction of visitors towards various components at the theme park. Findings revealed that single, high-school female students aged between 18 to 22 years old, are the majority of visitors to the theme park, who visits the park mostly on weekends and companied by friends. Visitors were mostly satisfied with the ‘Interaction with Staff’ variables, followed by the ‘Facilities’ for rides available at the park and the discount and promotion of ‘Ticket Prices’. Findings provide reliable suggestions for developing effective promotional materials, which in turn will help theme park operators to enhance their offerings and services while also enriching visitors’ experiences.

The quality of meat is influenced by several aspects, among which post-vaccination abscesses and bruises stand out as primary factors for the condemnation of carcasses. However, economic losses resulting from improper handling practices can severely compromise the profitability of both the packing plant and the producer. The objective of this study was to estimate the frequency of occurrence of abscesses and bruises in carcasses of animals slaughtered in a packing plant and analyze the economic losses generated by them. The number of animals examined was determined according to the slaughter flow in the packing plant (10-20% of animals/day). Data pertaining to region and number of bruises, abscess location, weight of excised portions and distance from the municipalities of origin of the animals were collected and evaluated by descriptive statistical analysis. The occurrence of lesions was 78% trauma- and 45% abscess-derived. The presence of these lesions resulted in economic losses, representing a depreciation of BRL 2.99/animal in the profit obtained by the cattle farmer. A comparison between the “sex classes” and “bruising” factors revealed that the females had higher occurrence and distribution of bruises and abscesses than uncastrated and castrated males. Bruises were more frequent in the hindquarter region, regardless of the distance, while abscesses were restricted to the forequarter. The weight of discarded tissues was higher on farms less than 200 km away from the packing plant; however, these results were influenced by the number of animals evaluated in the group.
