This research aimed to develop high order thinking skills  workheet in momentum, impulse, and collision topic for senior high school This type of research is Research and Development  follow 4D models, includes : define, design, develop and disseminate. Data collection instruments used validation sheets for given to 5 validator, Aspects assessed include graphic, presentation, language, and the contents of workheet. Based on the result of data analysis showed that all aspects got average score in the range of 3.4 to 4 with categories of  very high. Thus, high order thinking skills was valid. For the purposes of testing the worksheet is given on 68 students. to measure the effectiveness of worksheet used  Higher Level Thinking Ability Test that amounts to 12 items. Based on the result of data analysis indicate, There is difference of higher order thinking skill of students who use HOTS worksheet than who are not use HOTS worksheet, where the average Higher Order Thinking Skill on students who use HOTS worksheet higher

Abstrak: Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika semester empat Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Lampung. Pengambilan subjek menggunakan snowball sampling. Subjek penelitian meliputi 12 sebjek. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara observasi, tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dari 12 subjek yang diteliti dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) subjek yang memiliki kategori kecerdasan emosional tinggi menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi yang baik; (2) subjek yang memiliki kategori kecerdasan emosional sedang menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi yang cukup; (3) subjek yang memiliki kategori kecerdasan emosional rendah menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi yang rendah.Abstract: The Qualitative Research method aim to describe the level of students mathematics education high order mathematical thinking skill of Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Lampung. The data used snowball sampling. The participans of this study were 12 students. The research used observation , test and interview. Based on the data analysis result from 12 subjects, the reseacher concluded that: (1) subjects who have high emotional quotient show that their high order mathematical thinking skill is good, (2)  subjects who have medium emotional quotient show that their high order mathematical thinking skill is enough; (3)  subjects who have low emotional quotient show their  high order mathematical thinking skill is low.

Science learning should gives a good scientific process experience and promotes high levelthinking skills on students. However, the real conditions show that the both scientific process and integrationof high order thinking can’t be been applied well. The solution to this problem is the discoverylearning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking. The objective of the researchwas to investigate the effects of the application of the discovery learning model by integratingvirtual laboratory and high order thinking to improve learning outcomes of students. The type of researchis classroom action research with a cycle model. The discovery learning model was applied ongrade XI MIA 1 students in SMAN 10 Padang. The instrument for collecting data consisted of writtentest for knowledge aspect and problem solving skill, observation sheet for attitudes aspect, and performanceassessment sheet for science process skills aspect. The data analysis technique that usedwere descriptive statistical analysis and correlated comparison test. From the results of data analysis itcan be stated that the application of the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory andhigh order thinking can improve the learning outcomes of students including knowledge, attitudes,science process skills aspect and problem solving skills. Thus, the application of the discovery learningmodel by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking has given a positive effect in improvinglearning outcomes of students.

Implementation of 2013 Curriculum which is able to form students who have the ability to think at a high level as the demands of the times. One effort to develop students' higher-order thinking skills is to use appropriate assessments so that students can get used to working on higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to produce an instrument for assessing high-order thinking skills about heredity material for students of class XII SMA / MA that are valid. This study uses a 4-D models development model consisting of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the disseminate stage was not carried out due to limited time and money from the researchers. The subjects of this study were 3 validators, 2 biology subject teachers and 33 students of class XII MIPA 3 at SMAN 7 Padang. The data collection instrument was in the form of a validity questionnaire filled out by biology lecturers at UNP and biology subject teachers at SMAN 7 Padang. Data analysis using the ANATES 4.09 application. Based on the results of the data analysis instrument for the assessment of high-order thinking skills that have been tested, the results obtained are in the form of an instrument for assessing high-order thinking skills about heredity material for students of class XII SMA / MA that are logically very valid with a value of 93.14%, hight of empirical with a value of 74%, and very reliabel with a value of 8,4. Which can be used by teachers to measure and activate students' of higher-order thinking skills.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Many teachers in making exam questions do not pay attention to the level of cognitive realm that is High Order Thingking Skill to achieve quality graduates so that they have not been able to improve students' thinking skills. The purpose of the study was to describe the influence of teacher personality demographics and professionalism on students' level of thinking with the type of exam questions made by the teacher. This research is a type of ex post facto research that is descriptive and inferential. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis and Path Analysis. The result of data analysis showed that Vocational High School’s students have low thinking level. Students' thinking ability is influenced by the types of questions created by the teacher.</p><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Banyak guru dalam membuat soal ujian belum memperhatikan tingkat ranah kognitif <em>High Order Thingking Skill</em> untuk mencapai lulusan yang berkualitas sehingga belum dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh demografi personality dan profesionalitas guru terhadap tingkat berpikir siswa dengan jenis soal ujian yang dibuat oleh guru. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian <em>ex post facto</em> yang bersifat diskriptif dan inferensial. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis diskriptif dan <em>Path Analysis.</em> Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMK memiliki tingkat berpikir rendah. Kemampuan berpikir siswa dipengaruhi oleh jenis soal yang dibuat oleh guru.
