Guiding is a branch of oral communication. In oral communication, guiding can be included as productive skill. English guiding is one of the academic lessons in the fourth semester. Being a tour guide is a very important job in tourism part. In many cases, the tour guide is a traveller's first impression of a foreign country. In other cases a tour guide may be responsible for teaching tourists about the culture and sites in a city or town. Improving students’ communicative skill is the goal of teaching English guiding, because the student can express themselves and know how to use language well. In the real situation in teaching guide process, lecturer cannot escape from reality. It occurs because there are some problems faced by the lecture and the student. The lecturer cannot make student pay attention; make the students’ lack of creativity in making interactive guiding topics, and engagement in whole teaching learning process. This research applied photovoice as a technique to increase the student’s ability in speaking English guiding. Photovoice is suitable technique in teaching speaking skill in English guiding because it gives student chance to communicate with different context and different social by photo as a learning media. This reviews were taken from Beverly Palibroda (2009) Photovoice implementation and Speaking Assessment from Brown Lavinson (2004). This research was conducted by three cycles such as: pre-test, cycle I and cycle II. In composing this research the writer used qualitative descriptive method by classroom action research (CAR).             The result of this research showed that the mean score in pre-test before implementing Photovoice clearly showed that the ability of the subject under study was relatively “ fairly satisfactory ” in the level of mastery of speaking rubric. There were increasing in cycle I after implementing Photovoice technique. The result of the data analysis of the reflection score in cycle I showed increasing the mean score of 7.11 It was higher than the result of pre-test. In the cycle II, which the treatment was more intensive in order of weakness of the students had been known. The result of the data anaysis of reflection or post-test in cycle II that the mean score was 8.18. The different between mean score in cycle I and II was 1.07. It showed that the student’s speaking guiding ability improved after the researcher applied the photovoice thecnique to the students.

Pengembangan desa wisata merupakan salah satu bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat yang senantiasa dilaksanakan secara terencana dan berkesinambungan oleh Politeknik Negeri Bali sebagai lembaga vokasi di Provinsi Bali. Desa Bakas, Kecamatan Banjarangkan, Kabupaten Klungkung adalah suatu desa yang ditetapkan sebagai desa wisata dengan berbagai potensi kekhasan dan keunikannya berupa pertanian, wisata membajak sawah, menanam padi, dan cooking class. Meskipun memiliki potensi wisata yang sangat besar, kurangnya pembinaan dan pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat di Desa ini membuat potensi besar tersebut belum maksimal dalam pengelolaannya. Hal ini disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan terkait pengelolaan desa wisata khususnya yang berbasis green tourism. Berdasarkan pada kendala yang dihadapi desa wisata Bakas dilakukan kegiatan pengembangan Desa Wisata yang menitikberatkan pada aspek alam dan budaya sejalan dengan konsep green tourism yang diusung di Politeknik Negeri Bali. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan dan kegiatan pengembangan infrastruktur. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode focus group discussion dan observasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa jalur trekking, spot selfie, sosial media untuk pemasaran dan peningkatan pengetahuan tour guide.

Indonesia is one of the tourist destinations to be visited by tourists because it has many attractive tourist attractions. One of the tourist destinations is Jakarta, which has historical heritage buildings in Kota Tua or the Old City. Tourists who visit these objects can learn about the history of Jakarta City. However, not all tourists, especially foreign tourists, understand the historical story of the Old City, so to explain to tourists, tour guide services are needed. In the Old City there is a Tour guide community, namely Jakarta GoodGuide which was established specifically to introduce the Kota Tua of Jakarta. This research aims to analyze the communication strategy used by JakartaGoodGuide to increase public awareness of the tourist attraction of Kota Tua, Jakarta. The research used qualitative method through interview and observation techniques. The results showed that the communication strategy was carried out by JakartaGoodGuide used persuasive communication, casual words, structured communication, and pictures during the walking tour.  Abstrak Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang memiliki banyak daerah tujuan wisata untuk dikunjungi wisatawan, karena memiliki banyak daya tarik wisata yang menarik. Salah satu daerah tujuan wisata tersebut adalah Jakarta yang memiliki daya tarik bangunan peninggalan sejarah di Kota Tua. Wisatawan yang mengunjungi objek tersebut dapat mempelajari sejarah Kota Jakarta. Namun tidak semua wisatawan, khususnya wisatawan mancanegara mengerti jalan cerita sejarah Kota Tua, maka untuk menjelaskan kepada wisatawan tersebut diperlukan jasa tourguide. Di Kota Tua terdapat komunitas tourguide, yaitu JakartaGoodGuide yang didirikan khusus untuk memperkenalkan Kota Tua Jakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis tentang strategi komunikasi yang digunakan oleh JakartaGoodGuide untuk meningkatkan awareness publik terhadap daya tarik wisata Kota Tua, Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitaif melalui teknik wawancara dan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan JakartaGoodGuide menggunakan komunikasi persuasif, menggunakan kata-kata ringan, komunikasi terstruktur, dan juga menggunakan alat bantu foto atau gambar pada saat walking tour berlangsung.
